Downgraded!!!! and Overcharged!!!!

:scared1: YIKES!!!!

That is really scary. What really bothers me is that they basically accused you of lying! Like you manufactured the documents, and your credit card company was lying to them over the phone!!!! Outrageous! It's like they were shaking down a family just trying to get what they paid for and not charged extra for it. Tacking on the charges at check out, classy, really classy.

What is really sad is that most of us know more about Disney Reservations than many front desk CMs. :sad2:

Maybe we should offer a training! :rotfl:

I'm glad you were able to have a nice vacation!

Anyhoo.... this situation just shows us we need to bring as much documentation as possible with us at check in. After hearing this I plan to bring every payment receipt and my credit card statement showing the charges, just in case. More work for me.... :laundy: Sad. Just sad.

Chase would likely mail you a check for the balance. They wouldn't just keep it. I've had Sprint PCS mail me a check for 3 cents before.

Actually, I think they will keep it. The Disney Rewards are not cash, but rather 'points' to be used at Disney and they do have an expiration date. I hope I'm wrong, but I know I read this somewhere. :goodvibes Don't you just love it when people give information, but can't remember where they read it (talking about myself). :lmao:

Yes and it's right on the User agreement for the Rewards Card.

Any Unused balance on the Card (not in the account) will be forfeited upon the Expiration date.

So I would think they would be lost .

Also does anyone else wonder what happen to the OP in this case never reposted anything.

I was thinking the same thing.

I also was thinking about how much trouble I had when I changed my ressies from two rooms at AKL to a one bedroom villa at SSR this past Christmas. The deposit from one room was transferred with no problem but the second rooms reservation didn't go through until the day I left for WDW. I can't even remember how many times I called and kept hearing it may take a few weeks for it to show up. And I kept asking why would one show up and not the other? Noone ever had an answer for that.

Hey,

One thing the OP said had me concerned. If I book and pay for a preferred location they can put me in a regular room and *not* refund the difference? Has anyone else ever had this happen?

I booked a room only reservation for POP online but it does not give me to option to make payments. Can I make payments by calling disney? I'm prepared to pay my balance when I arrive if I can't make any additonal payments.

We are staying for 2 nights at Pop on 1/25 and 1/26. I used my Disney Visa Rewards card to pay for it in full. I hope that they didn't credit anything back since the card I used to book it expired in 12/2007.:scared1: That would mean I am out $92.25! I booked over the phone and made a deposit. Then, when the rates for 2008 were released, I called back to pay off the balance. Now, I am a little worried....:scared:

?Maybe 2 ways to read this... Kristenrice - If by Disney Visa Rewards card you mean the actual CREDIT card, I would think a refund is in order (by some means - perhaps check if the account is closed). If you mean the card that your REWARDS are put after earning them by using the credit card, I would agree that these could probably not be obtained after expired.

Maybe it will all be fine...:wizard:
