Double vs. single stroller

WE always went with a double for our two. Never hit anyone, except that person that backed into us while we were standing still waiting for them to take a picture. Its easier if one parent has to run a do something (bathroom, get food etc). Easier to find one stroller. When taking transportation, can divide us and one take the stroller and one the kids.

I have twins and we've done the double with each of our last trips without any issues. It was the stroller that our girls were already used to and it was much more comfortable for them than us renting or buying two cheap singles. Also, it was just my DH and me with the twins, so easier for one of us to run into a shop while the other keeps our daughters in the stroller. I know there are a lot of others concerned with how the double will affect them. However, as long as you are respectful with how you navigate the stroller, you should do what is best for you and your family.

I was just posting in another thread about strollers... for anyone in the market who wants a double stroller for convenience but hates the fact that they are so huge and hard to maneuver, a one over the other stroller is something I cannot recommend strongly enough. We have has a Britax like this one for years and love it. It behaves like a single and has a very high weight capacity.

but I think you are just being inconsiderate to others if you bring those double strollers to WDW.

I have brought a double stroller (front to back) each trip and will continue to do so.

I have never hit anyone with our stroller.

I had 4 kids this last trip and will have 5 this trip (9 & under). I'm terribly sorry if keeping my family together is an inconvenience to you.

We have has a Britax like this one for years and love it. It behaves like a single and has a very high weight capacity.

Not offended, just confused. Bottom is where daughter rides. She fits easily. There is actually room between her face and his butt to spare. She has a view out the sides, and is in 0% sun, which is an added bonus. She has never complained, and let me tell you, should wold if she wanted to. Again, very easy to maneuver. But, anyway, to each his own.

We've never had a single problem at Disney parks or any other attractions in the US with hitting someone with our double BOB or having trouble getting through crowds with any more difficultly than we'd have with a single. You'll do best to keep them out of stores and restaurants, but singles can cause an issue with that, too. If you're not used to using a double, it could be a pain for folding up and maneuvering, but if you're used to it, it's not any less convenient than a single. I'd rather keep up with one stroller than two.

This assessment is pretty spot on. We did not have experience with a side by side stroller when we rented one and yes, folding it, finding a good spot on the bus for it during busy times, and maneuvering it in stores was a PITA. But, I agree that if you have experience with this kind of stroller, you probably would not be bothered by it.

One over ones have become veddy popular in my neighborhood since a lot of the apartment buildings banned the double wides for scratching the paint off the elevator door sides as well as taking up too much space in common areas. I, for one, was perfectly happy with the loss since too many parents leisurely strolled down the sidewalks, Starbucks in hand, chit- chatting with their friends who also had double wide strollers, oblivious to the existence of other pedestrians who couldn't pass. One over ones, like good fences, make for better neighbors.

I hate two singles. That way both parents are always stuck pushing a stroller. We always did a double.
