Not sure where to post this, so I apologize if its in the wrong spot.

We will have a 3 year old & a 1 year old for our next trip-it will be our first trip with two kids.

Do you find its easier to navigate the parks with a double stroller for the kids or two single umbrella strollers? The double seems more convenient, but heavy to lug on the bus/boat. It also seems like it might be difficult maneuvering around the parks because of its size. Two single umbrella strollers seem much easier & lighter to get around, but maybe a pain to lug two separate strollers?

Any advice? We are staying on property-currently deciding between Port Orleans Riverside or Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks! :)

We used an umbrella stroller and a buggy board when my kids were that age, and it worked great. If that is not an option, I would take 2 singles. Doubles can be hard to navigate in crowds.

Double. You can take turns pushing that way. Buy a double umbrella like the Jeep Wrangler double. Fits thru standard doors. Used it on many WDW trips.

They sell clips for umbrella strollers that will clip two strollers together. We use them for my twins almost daily. Need the convenience of pushing one, clip the stroller together. Super crowded or narrow paths, unclip them and use as two strollers.

Mine are made by Munchkin. They are adjustable so they'll work on a variety of strollers.

We are renting a double from Apple (it's free, just pay the $7 insurance a day)

We choose the double because we need some more storage on the bottom for a lunch bag and need them to recline so the kids can nap...plus, have you pushed an umbrella stroller around all day? Unless it has taller handles, you are in a stooped position. I can't push mine more than an hour without being sick of it.

BUT- If I had two taller, nicer reclining umbrella strollers with storage and the clips, I would choose that way.

Apple has the City Mini Double which fits through a standard door. A single is just as much of a pain to push through a crowd as a double.
I would go with a smaller side by side (Joovy Scoot X2 or City Mini) not the front and back ones, those are very hard to push. I liked the flexibility of our Sit N Stand, but hated pushing it so we got rid of it :)

I've navigated WDW many time with sit and stand strollers which would be great for your kids ages. And tons of storage!

We've done both. We found the two singles to be much easier to navigate through crowds and deal with on buses.

I would never consider 2 strollers if you're only going to have two adults. With 2 children as young as yours, they're going to need help getting onto buses and trams. You may be holding the little one and helping the older quite a bit. Having someone else be in charge of 2 strollers while that's going on is too much of an undertaking.

You'll also face problems if one parent wants to run and get snacks or use the restroom while the other watches the kids. The one with the strollers won't be able to go anywhere because it's hard to push two strollers.

I have a 5 and 1 year old. We prefer to bring a double. No trouble getting through the crowds and it's nice if 1 parent has both kids while the other is on a ride/in the rest room, etc.

Double all the way. It is bulky, which is a drag, but if one person has both kids then they can both be in the stroller. You can't navigate two, and small umbrellas won't have enough storage. We used Orlando Stroller Rentals and it was a great experience.

Another life with twins tip is to take the straps off a computer/ messenger bag and clip the two ends together through both umbrella strollers when closed. Because the strollers are so light one parent can wear them like a bag getting on and off the bus while also holding a child.

I have 2.5 yo twins and am taking 2 singles. They're very, very different kids with different interests and MUCH different paces so I'm picturing being split into 2 groups a lot. Our umbrella strollers have carrying straps on the back so once they're closed we can just sling them over our shoulders. We have a storage pouch that goes on the side of each and can be folded up with the strollers and a clip that hooks the two together if needed (though I don't think we ever will need it).

I'd definitely say the dbl. stroller. Mind you my twins are now 11, but this link is a newer version of what we had back then.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...kYG4BQ&usg=AFQjCNEeJM_u9hqle4dDqWa77TVZ82DNtw... So easy to navigate, especially through doors and around people. And the best is getting on & off the busses or trains..2 quick steps and BooM done.

We also had the side by side jogger, but I don't recommend that...Although it is a much smoother ride/push, it's just more bulky and cumbersome to fold & unfold...

I want to second the vote for this double, I have this exact combi twin sport and used it on our last trip to WDW with our 5 year old and ten month old and it was perfect! Tons of storage space with built in pockets, the seat cushions are not only cushy but are also removable and machine washable, the seats fully recline for napping, decent sun shades.

Best part of it is that it folds up like an umbrella stroller, goes in half then in on itself again and locks. It is self standing and has a carry strap. There were times when DH and I split up over our ten day trip and I was able to fold it while holding my ten month old on my hip and then swung it up onto my shoulder to carry it by myself along with the baby on and off the busses while holding the 5 year olds hand. That's impressive to be able to do with a double stroller.

The fact that it stands by itself when folded is great on the busses too cause I could hold onto my kids and just loop my foot around the bottom of it to keep it from falling on anyone.

It fits through most doorways without being folded. And it has a great weight limit, I'm planning on taking it on our next trip when the kids will be 6 and 2 so that the 6 year old can take breaks in it when she needs to. Can't say enough good about this stroller, still using it even though my older dd doesn't get in it much.

2 (rented) singles worked great for us the last time - kids were 2 and 5. Each of us was in charge of one stroller, one kid for buses. This way we could split up as needed too - which is helpful when DD wants to ride it's a small world 10 times in a row and DS wants to ride POC!
I found the single to be easy to maneuver through the stores.
Also- you don't have to fold the stroller if you are taking the boats, a plus if you end up staying at Wilderness Lodge!
Good luck!

We went with our 3 and 1 year olds and got the Joovy sit and stand and loved it. We bought one used from Craigs list before the vacation because we don't use strollers often at home. We have used it on one Disney trip and 2 Williamsburg trips. Planning on using it again on our trip later this month. This time the kids are 4 and 2.

Double without a doubt.

2 stroller are 2 things to fold and 2 things to remember. And if a parents need to go the the bathroom then the other is left with 2 strollers.

We started one trip with 2 mclarens clipped together. It was terrible. We rented a citi mini double from Orlando stroller rentals that's day

They r super easy to navigate. We used to live in NYC and used ours there too. Fits through every door and super easy to fold

We prefer a double for our family. We can take turns pushing and split up if need be without one adult being stuck with 2 strollers. Easier for one person on a bus to manage one stroller and the other has the kids. And when you park at shows and rides sometimes they get moved around so with a double you are searching for one and not two.

We have a Citi Mini double and love it. We bought it specifically with Disney in mind because it's easy to collapse, easy to push, has large canopies and can accommodate our older child.

If you decide to go with any kind of umbrella stroller, make sure it is one you can push without having to stoop over at all. Pushing while hunched over is a sure way to end up with a very sore back!

I would go with a double stroller. The ones you can rent from Apple are made to close very easily, and are fairly lightweight. If you plan on using Disney's buses to get around remember that odds are you will end up standing at some point. It is much easier if one adult can deal with the stroller while the other deals with the kids.
