We need to find a double stroller this summer-due with #2 in July and have a DS-just turned 2. What does anyone think about the City Mini or Peg Perego Aria strollers. I am having a c-section, so I need something on the lighter side and of course needs to folds quickly for our disney trips:yay:- getting onto the buses. We like both, but was wondering if any thoughts on these? thanks so much from a pregnant and confused mom:rotfl:

I have a combii twin sport which looks almost identical to the the peg perego aria. I have a 4 yr old and almost 2 year old and even 4 yr old sits in it comfortably and its side by side which i liked. Mine (the combii) is lightweight, and lays very flat. Not sure if its exactly like peg perego aria but looks very similar.

We have the BJCMD and are in LOVE! My Peg P3 (single) was my disney stroller until our 3rd DS came along and we needed a double. For us, the baby jogger is sooooo much better than the P3. I walked @ home with my 2 boys (combined weight of about 60+ lbs) and my sister had my nephew (27 lbs) in the P3. It was so much easier to push the baby jogger double than the Peg single. Like many of us, I have an arsenal of strollers in my garage. The baby jogger is by far my favorite. I'm trying to think of a reason to get a single too!
It does fold very easily, the easiest of any stroller we've ever had, but I do think it may be heavier than the Peg double.

We have a Combi Twin Savvy as well. It's light and easy to fold up. Saw a ton of them at WDW as well. We have friends with the City Mini Double who love that too, but I think it is heavier.

Good luck and congrats on #2!

We have a single Aria that we absolutely LOVE. We brought it on all of our trips to WDW because it was very lightweight and extremely easy to fold and unfold with one hand. However, when we had DS we wanted to get a double stroller and opted for the Maclaren Techno over the Aria Twin. I did this because after trying them both out in the store the Maclaren seemed much sturdier than the Aria. So far, we really like the Techno. I love that both seats recline independently and that it folds up pretty small compared to other doubles. It also fits through doorways and I don't feel like I'm pushing a train. The storage space isn't great but it's decent. The cup holders are really crappy though. We've brought this stroller with us twice on vacation and it's worked well for us so far. We'll be heading back down to WDW at the end of this month and will be bringing it again.

We've also tried the Joovy Caboose Ultralight and I really don't like it. When we had the baby seat in the front my DD had no room to sit in the back. Now that DS can sit in it without the infant seat DD wants to keep getting in and out and knows how to get out of the restraints. There also is nowhere for the child to lie back or recline if they want to nap.

If you have a Buy Buy Baby around where you live I would recommend going there and trying all the strollers out for yourself. They have a HUGE in-store selection, much bigger than Babies R Us and you can try them before you make your choice.

I have the maclaren twin techno- got it for disney and because it's so lightweight and relatively cheap (online). I wish I would've gotten the city mini double when DD #2 was born. i love that stroller and it folds so nicely. I wouldn't worry about the c-section issue- that's only a concern for two months and then it's a non-issue- you'll be using the stroller for far longer.

We have a graco- double. It not light weight and not overly heavy. It has been used hard and still works well.

We have a large collection of double strollers (4!), and I think the City Mini is the best of them all. It does have a few drawbacks (hard to use storage for example and it doesn't fold up very small), but comared to our others (BOB Duallie, MacLaren Twin Traveller and the Kolcraft Contour tandem), it is the one I use the most day-to-day. It literally take 1.2 seconds to fold up!

I will say, I bring the MacLaren on trips because it does fold up so much smaller, it's much easier to deal with at the airport. I bought that one super cheap off Craiglist though, so I don't care if it gets a bit banged up.

I have a Peg Perego Twin Aria-- Just picked it up off of CL. I purchased it bc we are starting to foster newborns awaiting for placement for adoption (usually w/ us for 18 days or so). I wanted a double that would hold a carseat and my ds2.5 (32 lbs). today I pulled it out of the garage to play with it and Dd6 (42lbs) wanted to ride. So I put both ds2.5 and dd 6 in. I have to say it was almost impossible to steer. the wheels didn't want to turn right. I am hoping that w/ a car seat instead of dd6 that it is easier to steer. Not too happy with it but will have to wait to see how it works w/ the infant carrier.

I do own a single BJCM. I absolutely LOVE it. Soo easy to steer. The doubles steer just as easy too. I haven't found too much of a problem w/ the bottom basket. Easier to access from the side than the back. I have a Maclarent Techno XL that I use occasionally now since we got the BJCM. We purchased the BJCM bc I had a severe shoulder injury for most of last year. I had a hard time pushing the techno single handed. We purchased the BJCM for our Aug trip. Such a breeze to push and turn single handed. We did try out the double w/ dd6 in the seat and it was also extemely easy to push. I wish the BJCM was avail 10 yrs ago when I needed the double. I got a graco dou glide(a monster to push). I would have gone w/ a BJCM double for fostering but the cost is way more than I want to spend for something that may not get used alot.

I have been watching CL for the BJCM double to see if I can snag one cheaply but they are had to come by 2nd hand.

I would vote for the BJCM. Folding is a breeze too!

Good luck

I think the Aria is lighter with better storage, but the Citi Mini folds and pushes easier but is bulkier.

We have a Peg Aria double and it has been a great double stroller for us. Things I like:
- the 60/40 disparity in the seats, so the big kid has more room. My older DD was squished in the Maclaren double
- the trays (great for snacks!)
- the big canopy
- light weight for a double
- large basket underneath for storage

Things I don't like:
- the one cupholder on the back broke off after a week. We bought an accessory to hang on the back that provides 2 cupholders
- kind of difficult to fold/unfold
- the top strap comes out of the seat easily - allows the child to lean forward, which is nice for big kids but not so much for little ones

Congrats on the new baby! :goodvibes

The BJCM double is by far the best double stroller I have ever used. That thing is worth it's weight in gold. Like many posters- it was #13 on my list of strollers researched, bought, and tried....and I love love love it- especially at Disney. I am at the end of my double stroller buying days, buut I did buy #14 a BJCM single!

Thanks for all the replies!!! I think we're headed towards the city mini, if I can convince my husband that the extra $for the cupholder will be well worth it, especially on days at WDW with EMH's, with two, he'll really need his morning coffee:lmao:.

I ended up getting the parent organizer for the BJCM. I tried all different brands when ever we were out shopping. We went w/ the Baby Jogger parent organizer. It fit the stroller perfectly. I really needed a spot for my coffee when we are out. I like that one section is a little cooler part. We freeze a few juice boxes and pop them in the little section while at disney. It keeps it chilled for a good time.

congrats on the baby and the stroller decision.

I know a another diser who purchased her BJCM from diapers.com. they were able to price match it to albee'sbaby.com and give her 10% extra off for new customer. They also offered free return shipping. She loved the stroller. You may be able to find the link using search.

I am a stroller addict. I have both of these strollers. ;)

I had the BJCM dbl first. I LOVE it.

Pros:
- Pushes so easily over all terrain
- Folds/unfolds VERY easily
- LARGE canopies
- Still fits my DS6 well
- Very study/well built
- Lightweight for its size
- Love the orange color (wish that wasn't the rental color now, though!)

Cons:
- Why oh why can't it just have a hook to KEEP it folded--a PAIN on the Dis busses, but DH rigged up a strap to keep it closed
- Basket underneath is big, but a pain to use
- No car seat adapter (there wasn't when I needed it anyway)
- Big when folded
- No cupholder or parent tray. They make one, but you have to buy it separately and it is NOT cheap, we bought one and liked it so much that we bought another one for the other side. $70.00 just for parent trays is ridiculous, but they really fit well (I bought a cheap one, but it didn't work nearly as good as the one BJ makes for it)
- My kids hate the way that they are always at a slight recline in the seats. When they were babies, it was great, but now they do not sit as well in this stroller

Peg Perego Aria Twin. I LOVE it.
Pros:
- Very, very lightweight
- Folds/Unfolds easily
- Folds nearly flat
- Carry handle
- Locks, to keep it folded
- Pushes very easily on pavement/ or at the mall
- Decent canopies
- Large accessible basket
- My twins LOVE having the front trays. There are very few side by side strollers that have these. This is what made me get the Peg over a Combi or Mac. They aren't real big and don't really hold a cup or bottle, but for cheerios and snacks, these are GREAT.
- It has a near flat recline, BUT also the seats can be full upright, unlike the BJCM, this way the kids can really sit up and look around.
- It comes with a cupholder, even if it is wimpy;) My cheap parent console I bought works great on this stroller though:thumbsup2

Cons:
- the handbrake is weird (I think the new ones might be different, mine is a yr old)
- the freedom straps are a little tricky, I like that they can move around but it seems like a lot of straps when I'm trying to get two almost 2yr olds to sit still;)
- does not push easily on grass or on gravel
- the basket could be a little stronger, they do have a piece of plastic in the bottom now but it should be a little stronger--I still pack mine full though!

So, overall I really love them both, I use the BJCM almost everyday walking around my neighborhood, but I don't keep it in my car. I keep the Peg in my car and always use it at the mall/outlets, etc. The Peg is now my Disney stroller though, DH said it was so much easier on the busses/transportation.

Hope that helps...but, I really do LOVE them both!

BTW, have also had the Graco Duoglider, that thing pushed well, but it was a monster of a stroller--liked it because I could put the infant seats in it though and had cupholders and a HUGE HUGE basket. Also have a Jeep Umbrella stroller, good in a pinch, but if you are not short you will be very uncomfortable pushing it.
