I don't mind handling it. We arrive on the 20th. My only concern is we will not have car to drive this to a UPS drop off. It will need to be picked up. Please provide the number for me to call for pickup.
I will pack a phillips head screwdriver and some packing tape to seal the old box. It'd be a pleasure to help the group.
Thanks,
Yo
I'm not mad or trying to be snotty but I won't be able to spend half a day doing this. My wife has a very detailed itinerary and she doesn't even know about the stroller issues yet. Did I mention we're traveling with a "Grand Gathering" of 22 people.
Please try to have the logistics handled prior to me leaving on our trip.
Has anyone ever calculated the per hour rate while at Disney? It's truly staggering. I never had either, up until this trip.
These are ballpark #'s for 11 days(264 hours)
airfare for(5) $1400
lodging $2000(estimated using DVC costs)
tickets $1100(pro-rated for annual pass)
dining plan $1375+tipping
misc $1100
...........or about $26.50 per hour.... I will pick up and disassemble the broken one...assemble the new one...and drop the return box with the concierge/front desk. That's it. I can't sit and wait for FED EX or UPS in a lobby and as for the outgoing freight please try to have the shipping label ready since if it's not I'll have to go to the shipping location and fill out all of the paperwork etc.....@$26.50 per hour.....and with 22 people waiting for me....no thanks.
I truly hope this works out, RainyDaize has worked so hard and I have no problem doing this if most of the leg work is laid out for me. Goodluck and keep me posted.

Driving home now. So sad.
Ps the stroller is awaiting mayjay at her hotel.
RD,
I've PM'd and replied to your e-mail. I have my screwdriver and some tape packed. Ready to Wrench!
I just got your fax. Thanks. Just to be safe, mail me a hard copy since the faxed one was just slightly faded.
I will maybe take a few little brackets and screws to see if there's any reinforcements/improvements I could easily make to this thing.![]()
Who was the mfg and model number again. Maybe I'll stop by the local babies R us to see what'll I'll be dealing with

I found the link in case anyone else wants to see how to care for and properly use the stroller. Please abide by the weight limits and take care of this thing for future swappers.
Thanks,

Driving home now. So sad. Well our condo was smaller than expected and that made it hard with 4 adults, a dog and two kids. But we dealt. On the bright side it was right near a new wal mart so we got everything we had forgotten. And if you need any Disney shirts or stuffed toys or sweatshirts you can hit a wal mart down here!
The stroller was great to have. The baby slept in it often and the 4 year old liked having it available as well. We used the sun shade every day and took the rain shade but didn't use it. The sun shade covered the baby nicely but did make it harder for the 4 year old to see out.
The wheel is definitely a problem. It is not the tire but the place where the tire attaches to the stroller. We believe that it is a poor design. It is going to become a problem on a new stroller as well if not handled with care. Since we have never used a jogging stroller this could be an issue on all of them for all we know. It will sometimes spin around sideways or turn a way you don't want it to. If you try to power through that pushing with all your might it just breaks the joint loose. Instead you have to gently let the stroller turn in the way it wants to go until it will go where you want it to go. This is a pain in a crowded park. The weld was broken when we received and we put some epoxy on it and tightened it but it can only go so tight or it won't spin at all. You can also lift the front end up and let the wheel fall into place.
We also had trouble sometimes folding it up. If this happens it is sticking in the middle between the two seats. Just grab it and help the bar come up.
The seat covers cannot be machine washed so I just took a rag with some detergent on it and wiped it all down.
We used a sheet protector on the handlebar and left it there for the next family but I didn't see many other strollers like that one.
At mk it is definitely too wide for the gates. We had cm's tell me to try three other gates but with no luck. So we popped the wheel off each time. It fit everywhere else with the exception of a few doors of course.
Thanks rainy daze for organizing. It was great to have the stroller and I definitely could not have done it without it. Please do not think I was complaining above, just filling everyone in on what to expect and how to handle.
Again thanks for everything you have done. The stroller was a necessity for us and a rental would never have sufficed with an infant.
That is all my thumbs can take right now. More later!
