Double Reward Dollars offer

Have any of you DVCers out there checked your Disney Visa merchandise reward offers lately? If so, please let us know if you received the $50 minimum offer, the $75 offer, the $100 offer or no offer at all.

There seems to be a discrepancy going on with several people stating that they have received higher minimum spending limits, or no offer at all for DS purchases to earn double rewards dollars.

Is this what your'e talking about ? Guess I have to spend at least $100.00 to earn $2.00.

I think mine was $75.00 - which made me chuckle cause there's nothing in the Disney store right now that I would buy except an antenna topper!!!

Wow Viking...I guess that shoots down my theory that all DVCers received the $50 offer. Hmmm!! Don't understand the logic behind this offer or non-offer now.

I got $75 both on the website and on an insert to my bill. I don't see it as a big deal - if you spend $100 you get a $2 reward instead of $1.

What is a little irratating is that for some, the bonus percentage kicks in at $50, while others need to spend $100.00. Why the difference ?

bbowers: If you don't mind me asking, what are your spending habits with the card ? I use mine for everything since I've gotten it, average $1500.00 per billing cycle in purchases, never carry a balance. Maybe because they see I use mine often I get a lesser incentive then someone who doesn't use it.

Our offer was for $75. We just got the card two months ago, and in those two months our balances were $7,500 and almost $5,000 (we used it for a couple of major purchases, including a portion of our DVC membership!).

In reply to my spending habits - my first 2 months were absolutely atrocious and thus we have instituted a crack down on our spending. (We never saw it before because it was spread over several cards, and now we charge just about everything on the Disney card.)

First 2 full months were both over $4K each. But at least I do have about $90 in Disney Dollars so far for our trip in November...Oh, and we do pay it off every month. This month (but it's not closed yet, so would have nothing to do with the offer, I would think) will be about $2K.

Mine was for $75, and I plan to buy my Annual Pass Vouchers. So couldn't have come at a better time for us.

Mine was for $50. And I too use the card for every purchase.

I wonder if it has anything to do with credit line or available credit? I used it a lot the first month(we were at Disney).......but only about half of that since.

Mine was $100, and I use the card infrequently.

Our statement just came yesterday, and I only confirmed the charges. We use our card for just about everything, and pay it off monthly. If I ever use it for non-budgeted expenses (like yesterday's $500 car repair), and can't pay the balance in full, I'll transfer some of the balance to a lower rate card. We've had several thousand in charges each month, so we are racking up some "Reward Dollars" to use in December or next June when we head back "Home"!
