Double pin coming my way???

So, I took everyone's advice and did the whole new e-mail account, create an itinerary and then delete it.

Got the welcome e-mail and the make a video e-mail. Two days later I received a pin (yay! 2nd year in a row, except last year I couldn't use it) at 2:43 pm AND at 4:50pm received the "Explore your Resort" e-mail. From what I hear around here people get the "Explore your Resort" 3 days prior to a pin.

What does this mean? Can I hope for another pin??

I'm not greedy!! It is just I can only afford value, so I only save 20%, but a 40% everything pin OR FQSD would be very nice and save me a chunk of change (plus convince DBF to go).

I have since received three more pins on different accounts.

I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to any of this!

Call and ask what type of discount you get though. ((Unless you already did))

I received the 40% off and the free dining pin, but they cant be used together, so I took the 40% off.

Check out the "Support" thread. Lots of detailed, step by step advice there. Make sure you set up at least one Disney account with an address other than your own.

I think the trick is deleting the itinerary that has on-site accommodations and leaving the off-site one.

I hope you all get one!

I decided to call with another pin I received and shyly ask if the pin was for room only or package. I was told I would use it for a package YAHOOOOO! NOT.

When the CM priced out the package, it was exactly the same amount as the room discount. I asked how that could be if it was 40% off everything. He said "Its not off everything, but it can be applied as 40% off the resort on the package deal, rather than just being able to book "room only" with the pin. He said the tickets were already discounted after day 3 and there is no discount on the dining.

You must have gotten SUPER lucky!!!

Our package for 10 days POLY Club Level for 5 ( Disney 'adults' ) of WITH Regular Dining was 5684.62 ( 10 day tickets with WP ).

I am so happy with the pricing that I have not even DONE the math, just SIGN me up! And I BELIEVE YOU! (( TWO CM's gave me the same answers when I asked ))

Still scratching my head on that one, till I hear another story!

Hmmm, I have never heard of a pin for 40% off a package. What dates are you going and what view is your CL room? Also, are there more than 2 people in the room 18 or over? We can get to the bottom of this

Mine was $4777 and some change. That was only for 2 adults, one child, tix w/PH (no WP) and dining.. 9 nights Poly GV....with my 40% off, I saved $1721.

Yes it does sounds like jgallant got an amazing deal. I ran the numbers quickly through Disney's site and Poly CL gv in value season with the options they had came out to $8800 rack rate. Quite a savings!!

If this pin really is true I wonder which one it is, and did it say on the email? Also, I hope everything with that poster's reservation is correct, I have heard horror stories of CM's saying one thing and then the confirmation shows something different.

Yes it does sounds like jgallant got an amazing deal. I ran the numbers quickly through Disney's site and Poly CL gv in value season with the options they had came out to $8800 rack rate. Quite a savings!!

It was the same white rabbit we all got, but hers had some extra magic. She called the CM (sorry for speaking on your behalf JGall..) and asked if it was just for the room or the whole package. They told her the whole package. When you give the pin, they convert it into a 3 letter code to put into their system. I dont know which code hers converted to. I didnt know about the conversion until she mentioned it, so I called with another pin I had in a different Email. Yup, its true. Mine was converted to a 3 letter code (I think rules to this thread are that we cant post pins or codes) and it was only for 40% off the room portion of my package!

Thanks for explaining that process, I didn't know that was how it worked. Does sounds like she was really lucky!
