Double FP for resort guests with seperate tickets.

Today we were able to use FP+ with our magicbands and also get paper FPs with our APs, KTTW room keys, and our KTTW room keys from the previous part of our split stay.

LOL, that is freaking awesome! :dance3:

Some may consider this awesome... I consider quadruple dipping right up there with using handicapped guides to get FOTL access...

So, in theory, people with the military tickets could "double dip" because the military tickets are separately from KTTW?

I find it ironic to see people who previously said that FP abuse never existed are now cheerleading this obvious abuse of the FP system.

I guess they consider it Disney policy since they allow it to happen.

I don't have an opinion on the morality of it...but don't worry, it won't last long ;)

You have no idea how long this will last actually. I always wonder why ppl say this. In fact the paper FP machines are supposed to be around for at least another 12 to 18mths so it could last up until they stop using paper FPs. It's been going on for months already. And during one of the busiest times of the year.

I scrapbook so have most of my KTTW cards since we started going to Disney.

Hmmmm........

You're right, I have no idea how long it will last. I guess my point was, that in the scope of WDW history, the old FP machines won't be around for much longer. We'll all be stuck with 3 or 4 FPs a day via FP+ at some point in the future (if that indeed turns out to be the number). In any case, the old FP machines will be going away.

I'm not sure where I stand on the morality of individuals partaking in double-dipping versus the responsibility of the company to ensure that this doesn't happen.

We are going in one week's time for our trip as a "have-not" (no FP+), so believe me, hearing about all of this double-dipping doesn't make me happy. At all.

I don't think it's Disney policy, but it does give me further concerns about the capabilities of the IT dept. You'd think they'd be able to keep those limitations in place so you could not use previous KTTW, etc. This entire MM+ system is predicated on a LOT of IT, and Disney doesn't have the best track record in that dept. This glitch is just one more example of that.

Don't think this is a glitch.. Just that they are two different systems that were not made to work together..

Are you certain about that?

Josh at EasyWDW reports this:

http://www.easywdw.com/uncategorize...rop-procedure-and-fastpass-is-a-free-for-all/

The FASTPASS machine does not check to see if the ticket inserted is valid or has been used to enter the Park. And on top of that, it doesn’t check to see if the card is even a Disney ticket – just that it has a magnetic strip.

WOW! That's a return to the VERY early FP days. I'm tempted to buy tickets to Orlando now, even just being back from DL. This can't last long though. Back when this happened at first, the internet, and boards like this weren't common for visitors. In a week or so, you'll have folks taking a stack of old hotel cards with them to get unlimited FPs, and totally draining the system. Hell, I probably have 20 or more Disney tickets, let alone "magnetic stirp" cards. I could even use my Ralph's Club card for FPs!

This will be chaos very soon. The wife wanted to go for a quick Halloween trip. Maybe I'll be up for that afterall.

You are not a have-not, as you will have a park ticket and have access to the regular FP machines, won't you? If you are staying onsite, ask to have the tickets put on a separate card.

Demand for most FPs were very slow the week we were there, to my surprise. Most machines were still open after 1 PM, except for Soarin', TSM, and Test Track. You will have ample opportunity to have multiple FPs, IMO.

I am curious to know what this does with the time spend in a Fast Pass line?

and what it does to the return time when people are able to grab 2-3 sets of FP at the same time

Week of July 29th - FP lines were short, return times were early. Either a lot of people were using FP+, or a lot of people were not bothering with regular FP, IMO. Return times were about 1-2 hours except for the big ones, like TSM, TT, and Soarin'. They were the usual 3-4 hours away, I think? I really didn't take note, but I was surprised by how early the return times were most of the time.

FP lines haven't been noticeably longer this week and headliner FPs don't seem to be running out faster than they normally have.

Maybe it's been due to which particular park we've chosen each day, but the crowds in those parks aren't too bad right now.

I am at BLT beginning August 25. I have UT tickets. So, is it correct, that as of now and I know it may change, I can get FPs with my room key as well as my UT tickets? I have not registered my UT tickets in MyDisneyExperience App.

Thank you.

Why? So you can "game" the system?
