68 degrees and Only 6:45 in the morning.. Where did Autumn go?

DH, DS & I leave tomorrow morning for WDW & MNSSHP on Friday !! Back home on Sunday

We get to stay at our House down there and this will be DS's 1st time in the house since it has been completely done He gets to Finally sleep in his room.. Only a Mattress & Box Spring but it is still HIS room

We have to go to Direct Buy and pick up some Furniture that is waiting for us.. We know our "loft" furniture is there.. Sofa, Love Seat & Chaise.. They called Saturday to say more pieces came in but not sure which..

We are waiting on Kitchen, Dining Room and 4 bedroom Dressers and Knight Stands as well as 5 Wooden Bed Frames.. Headboard, Footboard, Rails..

I hope all your stuff comes soon!!!

We had actually looked at purchasing a condo in Cocoa Beach, but we've decided to sell our current house, move to a farm & build a log home & raise goats & laying hens

We wanted to be closer to WDW, but we'll just have to make our many trips a year to a hotel instead. I sort of like the idea of hotel/maid/food service on vacation

Anyway--I hope you get everything ASAP!!

hello everyone,

it's been a long time since i last posted. how's everyone?

adrienne, could you update my roll call?? my DC/TBD is a boy, joshua. DD9 is Rachel. stateroom cat 5 #7088

now i said i would never do 2 things..cruise anyone but disney and cruise with an infant. january 12th, i am doing both. a 7 day carnival eastern carribean with a 13 week old. since i have sooooo much cruising experience (LOL) ANY SUGGESTIONS? we are going with my daughter's soccer coach and two other team families.

That's funny...I was thinking the other day about cruising with an infant & if that would be easier (because they are less opinionated than a preschooler!) or harder? We traveled out of country (but not a cruise) with DS when he was a few months old & it was WAY easier than trying to take him on a plane again when he was 9 months old! What happened to my little lap potato? He wanted to crawl, crawl, crawl the entire flight, which was not easy for him to understand why he couldn't! After that, we brought the car seat on board & paid for an extra seat (even before he was 2) so that he wasn't as tempted to crawl/walk the aisles the entire flight.

Now that he's 4 & has flown almost every other month his entire life...our little system works wonders. He has his travel pillow, travel blankey, travel animal & we board the plane, read some books, then he lays down with his pillow, blanket, & animal & he's OUT for the entire flight. Honestly, could he be easier to travel with? Guess he's making up for the one flight where I was THAT mom with THAT crying baby. You've all been on a flight with THAT mom before I"m sure I wanted to crawl under the plane seats because DS would not stop crying for the entire 2+ hour flight. I so wanted to hide. Finally, about 20 minutes before landing he conked out in my arms...peace and quiet.

That was our one & only BAAAAAD flight I needed a serious nap after that.

Enough of my travel horror story.....Hope everyone is having a good day.

We're off to our homeschool CoOp today to learn about spiders, bats, & bugs. Right up DS's alley! Me, not so much, but I'm a good sport!

Hello, again! It HAS been long time no see!

Since you haven't been around for awhile, let me update you a little. I'm keeping up the roll call list, so I appreciate the update! I did still have you down with DBaby1! So congrats on Joshua's arrival!! I'm sure Rachel is being the helpful big sis! One other update for you to hopefully catch up on is to suggest you look at Post 577. The link is in my signature. You'll be AMAZED at how much we've grown!

Oh my gosh! I am sooo excited this morning!!!

In the past couple of weeks, I have been looking into spending a few days before the cruise at a WDW resort. Because my employer has a strong affiliation with Disney (and probably your wallet!), I can get an adult 5 day hopper for little over $200. Well last night, the magic came!

I opened my email and what did appear?
Well it was a 20 % resort discount, my dear!

Oh...look at that! It even covers the week before our cruise! So in the spirit of Erica's "Geeks on a Budget", I had to lock it in! I have a room at POP for 4 nights (Monday - Thurs) for a grand total of $295! We'll be heading to PC Friday and stay there to hop on the ship as early as possible Saturday!

One last word as she ran out of sight...

Those are some ADORABLE baby pictures What a cutie pie...I especially love the little mohawk with that sideways grin. So dang cute

And those soccer pictures ROCK! Did you take them? It's always so hard to get good pictures of kids in motion. Whoever took those did a fantastic job!

i was a portrait photographer for five years and did some freelance brochure work but i didn't take the soccer pics. they have a "team photographer" LOL! one of the team dads with really great equipment (digital slr, monster lens, and a great eye). my slr is an antique and quality new stuff costs more than the cruise. as much as i would love new stuff, i can't justify the cost.

her nickname from the coach is "the beast". she's the tallest on the team and doesn't back down. bad part, when a kid hits her, they fall down and she gets the penalty called against her. i never played soccer, i rode horses. i am having a blast watching the girls play. for their age, they are a good team.
