"Double Dip Delight" Alternate Western 09/27/08

For those of us planning to do the B2B this is the process they are currently using as reported by Baracuda who cruised from 9/8 to 9/22/07.

After everyone leaves the ship on Saturday morning, you have to bring your paper work (just like checking on the ship) and your passports down to the customs at 9 :30. After you clear customs you walk around the corner to go back up stairs to the terminal.
Around 10am the computers "turn over" and you have to go to the Supervisors desk, that's the last counter on the right where we all check in. They take your paper work give you your new KTTW cards and they escort you back into the ship.
The day is yours! The whole process takes about an hour. We started our laundry before we left and when we came back... tossed it in the dryers.
Just remember... there is no food or pools available, just the drink station and you can get back into your room.
Take advantage of no-one being in the terminal.... you should see how beautiful the floor really is!!!

Just for the record there will be 6 in the group for Grandma4ever. That is myself, Janet, My sister Debbie (Twin Princesses).......We only have 357 Days 6 Hrs 51 Mins 34 Secs to plan. I am not sure we have enough time. Lois

I can play on my end with ways to distinguish that visually so it will be clear who is the main poster and who are their family.....in honor of my dear friend Chris (Scoobypop) and for all of you other Big Brother fans (which I'm not, actually, so Chris'll be quite pleased that I at least know this jargon)....we'll call the main poster from this point forward the "HoH"---Head of Household!! :lmao: :lmao:

Here's the list I have thus far for those staying at the Hyatt MCO. Like the previous list I posted, if there is a duplicate, that means the DISer has friends/family staying there with them as well.

I know it has been a very longggggggggg time since you all have heard from me. My life has been soooo busy Joe and I bought a new house moving on Monday also work for both of us has been crazy Joe has been working working working and at my job we just went through a major payroll conversion (800+ people) so needless to say I have also been living at work besides trying to move!!!:headache: :headache:

Please count Joe and I in for the Hyatt we will be arriving sometime Friday don't know what time yet waiting on Airtran to post September flights. I don't know about the rest of the family as of yet. They are talking about driving my new Pilot to Florida (nice of them to want to take mom's car) so that they can bring back liquor. Since it is alittle difficult to take on the plane!! I do believe we still have time to plan that trip out.

Promise not to be such a stranger anymore.

Awesome. Another group to get together with before. I will be willing to take the lead and work on planning a place and time for us to try to get together if everyone is OK with that.

What would the rest of this group like to do? One of my ideas is to get together for a bit sometime aound 7 PM if everyone is there. Or how bout an 8 AM breakfast someplace in the Airport? Then we can all be ready to check in for our trip to the port first thing. We could do both if some perfer one and others the other. Let me know and we will get to planning.

Its like I said I am not sure we have enough time. LOL

Thank you for keeping track of all this info. That was the task on took on for the group we just cruised with. So I am aware of the amount of time it can take to keep up with the additions and changes.

Hi there, Maureen! Sorry life has been so hectic, but I hope you'll soon be able to enjoy your new home (after all the unpacking of course!).

Thanks for letting us know! I had made a note that you had once asked about an interest in people having a DIS Meets at the Radisson....so it's exciting to have one more decision made!

Oh you're welcome...although it takes time, I love doing this kind of stuff, so it's really just one of the pre-cruise planning gratifications for me. :)

OBTW, I also made note that you're interested in being the Hyatt MCO DISer lead. ;)

We are staying at the Hyatt because I like to fly in the day before and the Hyatt is easy. It is a good way to relax and yes the plan is to take the DCL transport to the port. We have done this twice before and it worked out well.

Are you coming in the day before? If so where are you planing on staying? The Hyatt is right in the airport. You put your luggage out by 8 in the AM and don't need to mess with it untill you unpack on board. It just makes it so easy. Just need to remember to keep all the important paper out since you will need them at the port. Lois

Be assured that although Jeremy (and Brandie (aka LadyShiva) by default) and I have access to see your addy, it ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT be published. Being that Erik will be using the same database to make lanyards, he'll also be able to see it. I have pointed out to both of them that it's private information that should not be passed along or published. Furthermore, as a reminder, the column in the database that displays your email addy is highlighted in red and noted "KEEP PRIVATE".

If you're still uncomfortable with emailing to the Hotmail acct, which would disclose your personal email addy, of course you have the alternative to PM me. I would much rather you PM me with info noted in Post 577 than not give any information at all!! As Erik mentioned, it really will become very helpful when the lanyards are being created and for those of you who will be participating in the Fish Extender fun (like me)!

Soooo.....if you want your email addy provided to anyone, it will be up to you to PM another DISer or post it on our DISboard thread. :-)

I hope that clears up any concerns out there!
 
Not sure what we are doing. We usually rent a car which is cheaper. And we will be staying an extra day after the cruise so I can go to Downtown disney and outlet shopping . I think we might fly in the day of. But that can aways change in a years time.
 
I know on other cruise lines if you have enough of a group you can have a mix and mingle. Does anyone know if Disney does this. There we could meet up with everyone in our group. Maybe bring gifts from our states, provinces or Countries to exchange. etc. Last group we were in we had a door decorating contest. It was a lot of fun finding each ones doors and seeing their creativity.

On our last cruise we had a PJ breakfast early on Friday and a lunch meet on a sea day. We also got together at the Mickey pool at 3 PM on the first day. It was a short meet but gave us time to meet for the first time in person. If any one has any ideas or suggestion feel free to post up and we can begin to make plans. Some other ideas that I have seen are a Mickey bar eating contest and a lunch to celebrate together. Secret Mickey and a fish extender gift exchange. Group pictures also. Any one else have any ideas?

Will it have ages and gender for kids? You wouldn't want to give something with small pieces to a small child because of choking hazard. Can those of you that have done this before explain in a little more detail how all that works?

We changed our Main seating to Late. Our whole group did. I'm not sure if they will participate in anything planned but I know I will and I could always convince my son to join too..

I promised him we would do Palo dinner, since he will be 18 at the time of this cruise.
