I also can't handle Praying Mantises. They freak me right the beepity beep out. There was a 9 inch long one on my car when I got out of work one night in Mississippi. I went right back inside work. I still get shivers thinking about that monster.

Funny you mention praying mantises...

We caught one two nights ago that Jeff found on the back patio. Put it into our terrarium to observe for the evening. Later, Jeff came in & said he found a second one in the front yard, so we caught it & put it in the terrarium as well.

So I go on line to find out if we have males or females...and I'm trying to count the abdomen segments to sex them, when the male makes it VERY obvious he's there to do his business with the female next to him!

Reese asks what they're doing...I say hugging

So they "hug" for about an hour. Then I hear this scuffling in the terrarium, we go over to look, & she rips his head off I didn't realize they REALLY did that after mating!

So we watched her eat his head & body. Yea, gross...but it was an interesting little biology lesson. We let her go the next day, fat & happy (I guess).

It was really bizarre actually seeing it happen. I felt bad that I put the male in that position But I guess it's nature....

I watched it! I OF COURSE LOVED IT...not as good as the first one since the original is the BEST SHOW EVER I love that some old characters are on it, lets talk when you girls watch it I have a few questions and a few observations

I email DU today and they said they called DCL and my paperwork was printed today no upgrade for me thought, I should get it in the next week

Amy ~ I hate snakes of all types....dead or alive....even pictures in books.

A few years back our grocery store had those stupid fake rubber snakes across the isle from the jello and pudding. I would always put the shopping cart on the snake side of the isle and walk on the other side of it to get my pudding. Once I even stopped in the middle of the isle and shouted to a person standing in front of the jello asking them to get me some so I wouldn't need to go past the rubber snakes. Talk about being a dork!!!!

Jeninpa and the grandkids can tell you a good story about killing a snake for me.

Erik tell Jason I think he is awesome and I am pretty sure you made him do more work than the cutting out badges you mentioned I know how wonderuflly nice he is about helping out with whatever. You are both awesome and I am sending a big THANK YOU your way.

Well I finished Rio's Puck costume for MNSSHP today. That is one more thing to check off the list. Tomorrow I take Marika to the optomitrist so her new glasses will arrive before we leave for the trip (I want her to have really good views of the show). I still have to make my pirate costume and a new shirt for Marika's and I have not made a single door magnet. We may have only the message center magnet up at the rate my life has been going

So for Rio's MNNSHP costume he has a garland of leaves to wear. Marika also has leaves that are hot glued to clips which we are clipping all around in her hair. I am worried all the leaves will fall off in transit. How nutty would it be for me to pack the mini hot glue gun so I can do some quick repairs at the hotel if they should fall off in the suitcase?

Quick check as all is calm and quiet, there are no bleeding issues, no catheter clogging, etc. Alex is up and around (which is causing an awful pull on his catheter, and then he whines, understandably). Everything comes out Friday, hopefully, when we see the doctor. Thanks again for all the good thoughts, advice, and prayers.

One question then off to bed. Can someone show me where on the National Hurricane Center maps we can find Castaway Cay? My main worry is that if it's hit, we won't dock due to damage to the island. Okay, Sig is the one who brought it up. He's so gloomy.

As for Castaway... ok.. Look at Florida.. to the right.. see the Bahama Islands.. it is at the top.. looks almost like a backwards C.. That "should" be Castaway Cay

I can't believe I did, but I did. I just watched the first hour, but I'm too tired to watch the rest. I must say I'm surprised that it was as good as it is! I really like it so far!

Whoever posted about the yucky taxidermied (is that a word? ) snake: What a day for you. I am fine with mice, spiders, lizards, whatever but NOT snakes (I am so Indianna Jones in that way). I am still DISsing long past my bedtime ebcause DAve is out of town and I can't get to sleep all alone with thoughts of the snake in my head Yes, I am pathetic. However, I successly managed to rasise two kids to not have that fear at all (Marika is afraid of dogd though no idea why).

i watched it in between The Secret Life of an American Teenager really cheesy, bad acting, horrible writting show that Im now addicted too on the ABC Family channel. but i just couldnt get hooked... nothing holds a candle to the original....

Ok besides planning our vacation, spending time on the cruise planning threads, reading Cruise Trip Reports, and also on the WDW threads, and dinning threads all here on the DIS... I now have a new passion/obsession... I started reading WEDDING Planning Reports.

It all started with finding a gal that is getting married on a Dis Cruise. That I found from the main board. That lead to following another and another. I am subscribing to 4 now. ONE that has gotten married, one that is getting married on a cruise, and 2 that are still planning, 1 of which will be getting married when we get off OUR cruise on the 4th.

Told E thats it we should do this, (as in I was thinking Vow renual) he said WHY.... well arent you the romantic type. I told him cuz its cute and all that girly stuff.. I got another oh so romantic answer, why spend all that money were all ready married....... so I said... "I didnt say I was marrying you AGAIN" LMAO

GOing to bed... yet I might be sleeping on the couch tonight LMAO
