Hi all thought I better pop in and say hello as I have been missing for a long while. Yesterday we got our cruise documents

I really hope castaway key is not affected we already not going to Costa Mya. Lets keep our fingers crossed
Glad you're back....as Drea said, check out Post #1 for any new info
So what is the average calorie intake per day on the cruise?
I gotta guess I average 5000 at least
Oh my gosh, I don't even want to know! With our pre-breakfast, then breakfast buffet, lunch, ice cream, snacks, dinner, dessert, cheese plates inbetween. Wowza. It's go to be insane.
All I know is on our last cruise, disembarkation morning, I was in tears because my pants wouldn't ZIP! This year, I'm wearing a skirt home, so my bootie can expand all it wants...and I can dress properly to get off the boat!

I made a bleu cheesburger for dinner last night. I thought of you, Chris, when I put a thin layer of real mayo on my bread!
.
I looooooove blue cheese on burgers or steaks. Oh yum!
Kimberly, Val, and anyone else that's curious - I just finished updating my blog with the invitations!

Let me know what you think.
The invitations are awesome! Very, very cute...you're talented!
New Conveniences
The guest staterooms onboard the Disney Magic are receiving an infusion of technology with the installation of flat-screen LCD television sets. The new 22-inch units will be mounted on a swivel arm to allow easy viewing from multiple locations within the stateroom.""
.
Jeff is most excited about the nicer TVs! I bet those of you with little ones are happy about the expanded diaper-OK zone!
Oh yeah, and just because we weren't busy enough, we are moving into a new house on September 18th.
Trav
Oh my gosh! That's quite a schedule! Try not to get too stressed out!
Oh, FatCat, you shouldn't call Val such names....
Our UPS lady came today....and brought....
a PS3 game controller.

I want my cruise docs!
Glad some of you have received your docs already--one more thing to check off the list, huh?
Reese & I went and laminated some of our magnets yesterday. He was so excited when he would come across one with his name on it. I don't think I'm going to use magnetic paper anymore....it's so expensive! Our local educational supply store charges 25 cents per foot for lamination, and add a little magnet from a roll magnet to the back & it's WAY cheaper to do it that way! I showed Jeff the magnets & he thinks I'm silly

I liked having the magnets last cruise the most because it helped Reese find our door in the hallway of doors!
We completed day 2 of our homeschool year today

It feels so strange to say "Ok, it's time to sit down at the table for some work"...but it's going well.
Although, Reese really, really hates to write, color, cut, etc. His fine motor skills are OK, but he'd rather do more physical things. So, each day I have printed out his name in dotted lines to trace, because I really, really want him to work on signing his name!
Our first day, yesterday, we sit down, he writes the R,E,E and then says "I don't like Kindegarten. I'm done."
Uh, no sweetheart. We're less than 60 seconds into our 14 year homeschool journey, you can't quit yet!
Today went much better, and he was very proud to show Daddy what we did for phonics. I'm still debating whether or not I want to bring anything onboard or not. Any homeschoolers here....are you bringing anything? I know some schoolers are bringing assignments from teachers...
I was thinking I'd just leave our phonics work at home, & have Reese dictate some journal entries to me about each day. Then I could put it all on the blog & it would do double duty!
Hope everyone is having a good day. It's in the low 80s and very windy today. We've got the house opened up, it's awesome...I hope everyone else is staying safe & dry!
And can I just say.....I LOVE THE MULTIQUOTE~!
