Hi everyone,
I know I haven't been on the boards in a very long time.
I have been going through a traumatic personal crisis and have had to cancel our cruise/cruises. If anyone is interested you may be able to grab our Cat 3 suite 8534.
Hope you all have a wonderful cruise.
Regards
Charmaine

I'm so sorry you can't join us and I hope everything turns out ok for you.

Hi Everyone,

It's been NUTTY since the kids got home - and trust me - don't do a house renovation at the same time the kids are comign home and just before a trip when half your staff is leaving for college and then gain like 15-20 lbs worth of water weight and end up on water pills and have a million tests to see what's wrong and worst than whatever could be wrong - now nothing fits!!!!!!!...I NEED A VACATION!!

First - I'm working on the treasure map tonight - PLEASE - if you want to be included - please PM me ASAP!!

Second - Gustav looks like it's making a direct hit to GC. I can't even begin to get caught up on posts - anyone know what will happen if we can't go there? My dh calls me JWW - the Jewish Weather Worrier...and believe me, I'm JWWing!!!

Third - crap. I forgot what 3rd is/was.

I'll be back.

I need booze. LOL.

You get a  too :goodvibes

I can't even believe they're upgrading this storm to a Cat5. Absolutely unbelievable.

:sad2:

We have not receive our docs yet either and we booked more than 18 months ago while on our last cruise. Hopefully soon.

No docs today, either ... BUT I did get MNSSHP tix and just ordered those earlier this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such cute ones this year, too. Love them.

LOVE IT.. omg you are so talented! kids are adorable too! :)

Thanks so much!!! You're too sweet.

I bet they're wonderful & those who get them will LOVE them!

I really hope so. I'm always so paranoid about that kind of thing.

Quick update, and when I'll have time I'll go back and read the thread. You talk too much. Also- all those in the path of Gustav, prayers and good wishes to you.

Alex is already home from the hospital. His 1 1/2 hour surgery turned out to be a bit over five hours on Thursday because the stone was adhered to his kidney wall somehow. He has a drain (like a little straw) sticking out of his back and a catheter so he's stuck in the house until next Friday when everything comes out. Right now, he's so grumpy and tired, not eating much, not drinking much, outside is not an issue.

He'll have a stent in his kidney for six weeks, and bad parent that I am, my first question wasn't "is it dangerous" but "can he go on vacation with that?" Answer, yes.

So he's napping, which means I get to do laundry, clean up (amazing how the house is messy when no one's been here), take a shower, etc. He's back in the hospital the week after the cruise to get the stent out. Ick.

Julie

Oh my, Julie. I bet you were just nuts for that length of time. ::::::big hugs:::::: for you. I sure am glad that he's doing well and that nothing changes your vacation plans. I hope that he does great on the cruise and has such an awesome time that he doesn't even realize he still has the stent.

We live on the very western edge of Tangipahoa Parish (very near Livingston). From everything we are seeing this morning we'll get sustained 40 mph winds which will cut our power but hopefully will not cause any serious damage. In fact it appears that we'll get to stay home and be in our own beds for the sttorm.

Stay safe and take care. We'll be thinking about you and praying for you.

Just wanted to share some pictures my grandson made. I see a future job with Disney. He drew them free hand by just looking at a picture he already had. He did not trace them. I am sooooo Proud! Lois

Oh my gosh!! You SHOULD be proud!!! He's awesome!!!!!!

Yea right...like THAT is going to happen!

See .... Kimberly is already tossing it. :) :confused3 LOL!

Oh no! I never thought about tagging things!!!! I mean, there are few things that are bigger than other things that I have collected, maybe I'll tag those...but I won't worry about the smaller things! The smaller things I don't really care if people know they are from me or not because they are just little FE gifts.

I'm tagging, but I'm doing most of it for my sanity. I will end up putting names and stateroom numbers on them to make sure they go to the right places. I ended up making different things for the kids based on their ages.

No relaxing - FE's to worry about :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah....seriously!

He is only 14 years old. He is a writer and has been writing short stories for over a year now. He is awesome. Wish everyone could meet him. Lois

That's incredible. He's fantastic.

First - I'm working on the treasure map tonight - PLEASE - if you want to be included - please PM me ASAP!!
.

I think you have my info. I sent it some time back, but I'm not sure if you got it. Please let me know if you don't have it!! :)

I sure hope your night is MUCH better than your day has been.

I'm sitting here in my living room with DM and DGM. DGM has never seen the Travel Channel DCL show, so we're watching it right now.

After we got through the bit on the restaurants, Grandma asked "Now on Monday is when we go to Palo for brunch, right?"

"Yep!"

"Oh good! I can't wait for all that seafood!!" she said.

Then I said "So we go to Palo for brunch anddddddd......." as I stared at them. Then it hit me!!!! Why tell them that we got Palo dinner reservations?!! I'll let it be a surprise!!! :goodvibes BRILLIANT!

My dress was a bit of a surprise. I pulled it out of the bag to try on, and looked at it...and looked at it....

"Oh! I didn't remember choosing the red version of the fabric. I know I was debating between that one and the one I got, but I guess I forgot."

They started laughing. "Well, we decided to make a practice dress first! We went back and bought the red fabric."

Sooooo...I LOVE the red!! I'm going to end up with two beautiful dresses!! I guess I'll just book another cruise to get use out of the second one!

Well, just driving by to share my excitement. I'll catch up with the posts tonight!

Oh, how fun! I love surprises.

Excellent!!! 2 dresses!! That's great. I hope you love them both.

I had a long day today, but a good one. We constantly reminded each other where we'll be in 4 weeks ..... :)

Crissi and I made our shirts tonight, they cost us less than $4.00 EACH, here they are!

Crissi bought the transfers from HP they were buy 2 get 1 free, $9.99 each, she bought the color transfers, and the shirts were from Micahels for $2.50 each, AC Moore sometimes has them 5/$10.00, we are REALLY happy with them!

OK guys. The latest models for Gustuv show it headed VERY close to my house so we are 'running' we have reservations at an RV part in Tuscaloosa AL. WE are leaving at 1 am (camper is pretty much packed, just need to put a few cold things in the ice chest on our way out the door. Now if I can get the 4 year old to sleep so we can slip him into the truck in the morning. We aren't worried about water but we are very worried about wind damage. I'll post when I can (Not even sure if this campground has internet...but it was the only place we could find openings starting tomorrow so that we can attempt to run ahead of the mandatory evacuation out of New Orleans. ) Please keep everyone dealing with hurricanes in your prayers. This is going to be a wild one to say the least.

The flip side is that I'm leaving all my cruise things here. Hopefully I'll return to a home with no damage. How much longer until we sail out? Someone asked me what happens if all our ports are affected by hurricanes...my response has been 'its Disney...if we do nothing but sail in the ocean for 7 days I'm sure they will make it fun!"

Elliott's mommy: You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Just back from the ER. Apparently, I don't know what "excessive bleeding" means. :scared: I mean, when the kid soaks through two abdominal pads and then has it running down into his diaper (he normally doesn't wear diapers, it's a just in case thing since he's been so tired), I'd think that was excessive. But apparently not. Duh.

So I'm going to write 100 times tonight, "I must not panic and go to the ER". I swear the insurance is going to cut off Alex any day now.

Julie

Julie.....if YOU think he needs to go, take him. You're the mommy, and you know what's best for him. I would have thought that was 'excessive,' as well. Did they 'define' that for you??? If that's not excessive, I'm curious as to what is!

And, Denise - CUTE cute shirts!!!! Great job.

Prayers!!! Be safe.

Yes, please, Please be safe. Don't worry about your cruise stuff. It is just material. We can all help you replace it if need be. Just take care of your self and your family. Love you :grouphug:

This is the nicest group I have ever run across the way everyone pitches in to help no matter what the circumstances. You guys are awesome.

I agree! What is excessive? I would have went also and would go again if I felt it necessary. Please keep us posted and we are praying for the little guys recovery.

Very cute, I am going to work on some in the next few days myself.

Crissi and I made our shirts tonight, they cost us less than $4.00 EACH, here they are!

Wow - a lot less expensive then ordering them and you now have the correct logo (ordered ours before the change in ports)!! :thumbsup2

I was wondering when I saw the "cone" of where they think it might hit. Glad to hear you're clearing out for your safety. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and hoping that all is well when you return.

Always better to be safe than sorry!! :)

ATTENTION KIMBERLY:

I was thinking of getting a little USC/OSU wager going... I know I'm not the only member of the Trojan faithful on this board (are you listening Sandi???). Any of you OSU-types up for a friendly wager on the outcome of the Sept 13th game? ;)

USC ALL THE WAY!

The evil forces are certainly out tonight!!

Sending pixie dust :wizard: to everyone dealing with issues.

Elliottsmommy ~ Drive carefully to AL and stay safe. I'm glad you are leaving early. Prayers and hugs.:grouphug:

Julie ~ I think you did the right thing by going to the ER, I would have been there also. Take care ....... I am so sorry you are dealing with this alone, but prayers it will be over soon......hugs to you and Alex.

Denise & Crissi ~ Neat shirts.

Lois ~ There was a woman in my group on my last Magic cruise (Oct. 2006) who looks just like you. In fact even her daughter looks like your granddaughter and she also had a son. I believe her name was Maryann and I think she was from IN or IL. Maybe Charlie (Videoman) remembers. Anyhow, everytime I see your picture I do a doubletake you two look so much alike.

Julie, I agree better safe than sorry!! He is not replaceable. Hopefully the rest of his recovery will be calmer for you and him. How is everyone else doing with all the attention needed for Alex right now? It can be hard on the rest of the family. I know how difficult this is for you (Having been a navy wife for 14 years). You have my thought, prayer and admiration for all you do. Lois

Julie - Don't feel bad, better safe than sorry. I would have gone to the ER too if I were in your position. :grouphug:

Please stay safe...I have been worried about you and your family since I knew the hurricane was coming your way. Please let us know when you can that everything is OK. If there is anything I can do to help you, please feel free to ask.

I would have done the exact same thing!

So, I worked at the Disney Store tonight...it was very busy! We have t-shirts on sale for $5.00 so if you need some shirts for the cruise, head over to your Disney Store and pick some up! :)

Julie - GO if you think you need to. Take care of your kids and yourself. If you are truly worried about the insurance check with your state welfare or DHS office; there may be a medical plan Alex falls under. But if your spouse is on active duty take full advantage of TriCare. That's one benefit that we all pay for, but you & your family more than most. again, thanks for your family's service.

OK guys. The latest models for Gustuv show it headed VERY close to my house so we are 'running' we have reservations at an RV part in Tuscaloosa AL.
Hey - come on over to Mongomery! You can park in my yard. I'm on top of a "mountain". The flood would have to get pretty high. Drive safe.

My prayers go with all of you. Stay safe. Hope everything works out well for y'all. just think, soon it's nice, easy, relaxing with the drinks w/pretty umbrellas!

Elliott's_Mommy, I'm looking at the time, and it it looks like you'll be leaving in about an hour. So I'm not sure when you'll read this, but I wanted you to know we're so sorry you're going though this concerning experience. I'll certainly have you and everyone else in its path in my prayers for safety and an uneventful return home. Take care, and we'll chat with you soon!!!

Julie, at the risk of sounding analogous, I would have made the same drive without hesitation. Lois asked what I was thinking of as well. How ARE the 3 other kiddos doing? I hope you're getting some sleep tonight!

ATTENTION KIMBERLY:

I was thinking of getting a little USC/OSU wager going... I know I'm not the only member of the Trojan faithful on this board (are you listening Sandi???). Any of you OSU-types up for a friendly wager on the outcome of the Sept 13th game? ;)

You name it, Adrienne!! I'm in!

Kimberly....I had read on the main board a bit back (like before the West Cast cruises) that the AP show was not always playing on the first three inital visits......

Thanks for a little assurance, Jen. I guess we'll just play it by ear. It's not like if I do need to make changes I don't have a party to join with you guys! That's not a bad thing! **cheers**

UPDATE: I just saw my ticker!!! :goodvibes

Ok, so who has this program? I am trying to combine 2 images so we can print out 2 on a transfer sheet and I can't figure it out! I think this is too advanced for my abilities! Anyone know how to do it?

TIA if anyone can help!

Crissi

Yikes I haven't read through the that thread or finished ours yet, but we have that tour booked with the butterfly farm for like 8:00am on the Grand Cayman Day:eek:

I think it's OK so don't worry. :thumbsup2 I think I jumped the gun posting that thread because they don't want to the butterfly farm or something like that...we should be fine. :)
