:rotfl: Jen you crack me up!!!!

Well battle #2 with the bus driver, this time he made the 8 yr old sob. I have had 2 calls into the bus garage. ugh, like I need this aggrevation. lol.
what is WRAL ? I have never heard of that.

Sorry Val, didn't mean to confuse you. 'WRAL' is the call letters of one of our local TV stations. (Best one locally, IMHO.)

Hate to hear you're having troubles w/your bus situation also.

So, how does the jet lag work? Not that we really have any schedules to worry about when we vist NZ & come home...but I've always wondered that. Our jet lag from Hawaii always takes us out for a few days, and it's 4 hours difference from our home time zone.

We've always heard that for every time zone you travel, it takes that many days to get past the jet lag. When we travelled to China it was 12 hrs difference & it did take about 12 days to feel 'normal'. Just in time for us to be headed back home! :lmao:

Is that free with admission or do you pay for that? If it's free.. hmmm may have to rethink MK.. :rotfl: I never did like wine up until last month when I went wine tasting. I love the sweet dessert wines.. or orange muscat.. yum!

We have annual passes :thumbsup2

RUNNERS: The DDD Walkers have decided on an official start time each morning (7:45 on Deck 4). If you runners want to come up with a meeting time, I would be happy to add it to Post #1 for you. Just let me know!

I hope to run early, like around 6:30 or 7:00, every other morning. But I wont set an alarm as that might wake up the DW and DKs. So I would be hard pressed to committ to a time as it will depend on when I wake up. I would hate for people to be waiting for me as I slumber happily away after a few tatties the night before.

I was going to go around 8:15-8:30. But, not on Cozumel or Grand Cayman days (we have early excursions).

I'm taking my husband out of school for this vacation. :) He's working on his PhD and may even have an exam that week (oops). I guess he's going to have to write himself a note.

I'll probably be up there between 7:30 and 8 for the most part, depends on the day and excursions, etc.....I'll get back with you guys after I consult my training plan. :thumbsup2

I'm taking my DH out of school too! :rotfl:
All this talk about missing classes reminds me, he had to drop his Japanese class because the teacher refused to let him take an exam early for the week we will be gone. I was like  can they do that? I guess so. He would have lost an automatic 10% of his grade!

Doing the document dance in PA:jumping1: :jumping1:

Us too! I couldn't belive it. We're always last. Not this time! :woohoo:

All of my new dresses are too big...so no more excersize for me (ha ha)

(Who am I kidding...a couple of chocolate souffles later...by day 3 or 4 they'll fit like a glove.)

:rotfl2:

 DH is being a poopy head *again*

No, I'm not dressing up for MNSSHP
No, we don't need you to make us shirts for MNSSHP
No, we don't need any shirts for the cruise

:snooty:
Stacy, that doesn't mean you can't make shirts for you, your Mom, your MIL, and your Aunt Michele.

You can match us, I made ours from stuff at AC Moore and Michael's, you live in NJ? Check out our pics from a few pages back, match us match us, make dh feel left out:lmao:

I am at work late and there is this kid screaming!!!! I've been battling a headache all day so it's not helping!

I'm sitting at the front desk at work getting ready to work on one of my FE gifts...it's not huge, but it does need to be cut so I figured I may as well do it here since I have to be here regardless. :thumbsup2

Elliot'sMom - how is everything going?

So, how does the jet lag work? Not that we really have any schedules to worry about when we vist NZ & come home...but I've always wondered that. Our jet lag from Hawaii always takes us out for a few days, and it's 4 hours difference from our home time zone.

I guess it depends how you approach it. When we've been to Disneyland we've really struggled. Even though it is only 4 hours difference, it is 4 hours the wrong way - 7am is really 3am  . We don't have a problem the other way around though.
So you will be about 6 hours out (Hawaii is 2 hours difference from us). You probably won't have too much problem coming here, just going home.

What we did when we went 1/2 way round the world (morning here is night there) was take homeopathic anti-jet lag pills. They seemed to work great :thumbsup2 . And also stick to the rule of sleeping & eating local time. It seemed to work well. After over 24 hours travel we stayed up all day, had an early night and the next day woke up with no problems at all. Didn't feel any effects after that :woohoo: .

We are going to do the same when we go to Florida - it's an 8 hour difference.

Tania

No docs yet here either... Mr. UPS just came by and after getting excited it might be the docs, I was momentarily disappointed it wasn't... until I realized it was my new Baltimore Ravens jersey (Phelps 08 baby!!!) :cool1:

I'm so happy the holiday weekend is here - I should have at least one ENTIRE day to work on cruise prep! I have 24 sewing projects cut out and ready to go... it'll be Project Runway up in here. Make it work! ;) Then it's time to finalize the packing list and make sure everything is present and accounted for... I can't believe it's so close! :faint:

I know we are heading to one of the parks after we get off the boat, but I'm not sure which one. I had actually forgotten about Food and Wine.....hmmm.....Sarah isn't a hige Epcot fan but maybe I can sway her with an alcoholic slushie :rolleyes1

I'm not a HUGE epcot fan either :P

This board moves too fast for me to catch everything, thank goodness someone quoted your devilish plan! I might be tempted...if you can convince the park that there is more to Canada than maple and Salmon *grin* They need some good poutine one of these years!

:grouphug: Just make one for everyone else in you party. Then when the pictues come out & you look back, you'll laugh 10 years from now & he'll wish he matched everyone else. Or maybe he won't. But that doesn't mean the rest of you can't match!

That's always our problem with Hawaii. Going there, we're OK. Coming home, we're wiped out! Then, when we were figuring the time difference between Texas & NZ, we were like "Oh my gosh! How will we ever survive! The time difference is 17 hours ahead....how are we going to manage THAT?"

Then later that night, I went "Wait. that's only really 7 hours different, you just lose/add a day...whatever way it works. So I can handle 7 hours different! :)"

It's all in how I look at it!!

Elliot'sMom - how is everything going?

We are slowly being removed from the possible landfall locations (if you guys wondered where we are....if you see the map of LA and look at the lakes at the bottom left of the state.....we are at the northwest most edge of the large lake.) As long as this storm doesn't wobble back east we should be ok. DH battened down his parents house today and just headed outside to start on ours. We do have an order to evacuate and the college I work for is out on Tuesday as well. Since I took today off that means that I have a 5 day vacation....of course hurricane prep is not really vacation.

I did manage to get my FE done today, almost done with pirate shirts (I'll work on those over the weekend). our FE gifts are almost done. Hey does anyone have the steamboat mickey that doesn't dance? I want to make social cards and that would be PERFECT.

I haven't even begun the packing process (other than putting some things in the guest room). I honestly think I'll just get through this storm and then start working on that stuff......I've got to put together my box to ship out.

I'm glad that it looks like it won't be heading your way. Stay safe and keep us up to date so that we know you are ok.

Every day this week I have anxiously approached my front porch hoping to see that the Brown guy left me a present. Nada.
I did get my new earrings today to wear with my formal dress, however!! BLING!l They are the "journey" design....just beautiful!

I talked to my DM this morning. She told me that DGM has finished my dress, other than hemming it! :goodvibes I can't wait to see it!!!! I hope my super clearnace $2.50/yard fabric looks okay with the pattern I chose.
We're going to try and squeeze a trip in this weekend to take care of that with the heels on the feet so it is just perfect.

Eariler this week, I spoke to DGM, and she said she hadn't yet started on my pirate costume, which was appropriately prioritized as the costume can go without a fitting if we run out of time. She said she was almost finished with DM's costume though. I need to get my hat embellished tonight...I've been dreading that task.

... convince the park that there is more to Canada than maple and Salmon *grin* They need some good poutine one of these years!

Okay, Sarah...I was going to wait for an official Canadian description of poutine, because I have NO idea what it is. I just couldn't resist Googling it though. OMG...I think I would *SO* would  that!! Can you say COMFORT FOOD?!! I LOVE french fries with gravy on them...then you add that extra little touch of curds. Wow...interesting combo. What else can you share to educate us?

....I have 24 sewing projects cut out and ready to go... it'll be Project Runway up in here. Make it work! ;) Then it's time to finalize the packing list and make sure everything is present and accounted for... I can't believe it's so close! :faint:

WHOA!! Well at least you have it all cut out. That is SO not the fun part!

So call me CRAZY, but I came up with a new cruise project. So at lunch today, I went out to buy everything I need. I'm trying so hard not to dig into it until I have everything else done. That way if I don't get to it, then I can return the goods. So......I need to get crackin' right now! I'm going to try REAL hard to stay away from the DIS. I get sidetracked too easily!

Including this weekend, I just cannot believe I only have 3 weekends left and only 2 full work weeks!! :woohoo:

Good night!

Today, our UPS lady brought.....

a box of vitamins! :rolleyes1

Still waiting for our docs.....patiently.....

We got a UPS envelope today! I got all excited!!
But I opened it up and it was re-financing that we had done many months ago that needed re-signing due to an error they made.:sad2:

But....they are giving us $100 for our trouble! I thought, great! More money for Palo!!:yay:
