"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Take 3!

and my day just keeps getting better... NOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT

so, last night, a friend of mine and I got into a heated arguement about another friend of his.. we have been friends for 3 years and they have been friends for 10.. well this "friend" has decided that his friend who is like a sister to him can decide that if she tells him not to be my friend anymore, he wont be.. I swear I felt like I was back in grade school... my solution.. I told him he can keep his Jealous/Spiteful friend and have a nice life..

also last night, I noticed the 2 dresses I have been watching now have bids on them.. one is already at more then I want to spend.. and I really, really, really, liked the dress too..

oh, yea, and Today... I received a call from DCL.. we will NOT be getting the private room for Dinner because we only have 9 adults instead of 11 since 2 had to cancel sooooooo now we have NO reservation for the double birthday celebration at Palo..

Ughhhhhhhh.... I just want to go back to bed...

My only work out is arm curls of drinks and carrying packages back to the ship.

My crazy weekend. On Sunday 1:30 am Morning my DD who is 6 and normaly very healthy wakes up with croup. She freaks out having watched her brother who has astham and weak lungs bla bla bla. She has like a panic attack that she cannot breath so thus she can not breath. We ended up having to call 911 cause she was passing out from not breathing/ hyperventolating.

They take great care of her by the time we get to hospital she is so much better she walks in. 2 hours later we are on our way home but oh no DH did not turn the ringer on the phone so he can not hear it ring. I call for 1 hour before it finally wakes him up. Oh Scrappingjen was ready to tear him apart.

Sunday our air conditioner dies.

Monday I get Zoes formal dress off ebay its a totally diffrent color and length as to what I was expecting But it will have to do.

Today both kids started school and you would think oh yeah mom can relaxe do some cruise shopping, that was my plan but on no mom is supervising the instilatin of my new air conditioner (ie what we had to buy instead of repainting and decorating like I wanted)

Next Thur we have to fly to New Hampsire for my brothers wedding and I have done nothing to plan that trip at all. I need to figure out what to wear..uuuugggg

1 month till tropical drinks and breezes fill my day instead of stress right?

Actually one of my Favorite things to do on board is sit on a Deck 4 comfy chair watching the joggers and walkers go buy while drinking a Patron Margarita on the Rocks.

Just save some for me. I'll have to 'hydrate' after that run!

Ok...DH just asked me a really good question. We can ship boxes TO the ship...but can we ship boxes home FROM the ship? Or GC? or Cozumel? or CC?

I think he's worried that I'll have way more fun shopping for Christmas than our luggage will allow.

BOOOHOO OH WELL RIGHT guess yall can come by and visit when ya tender off an on LMAO Make sure you stop by and leave a note... show me some love LOL

Another question (not cruise related). Just found out that one of the children in DS's preschool class has a nut allergy. I'm one of those moms who sends 'treats' for everything....but I don't want to send anything that would make this child sick. Can I get suggestions from you guys to deal with this. I want to send the same thing to all the kids...and I'm not beyond going to Oriental trading and getting a box of 'toys' that all the kids can have but was wondering what my other options would be.

Drea, thanks for keeping the colors! You are not alone on Deck 1, either. Without looking, I think there are at least 2 other families on Deck 1. Just think how fast you'll be on/off the ship at the ports! Have you heard about the honorary security kid on Castaway Cay days? You need to get your boys first in line for that!

Oh Stacy! I am SO sorry about your friend's poor judgement.

I went through that about 2 years ago myself, except his other friend was also a very very close friend to me. So I lost two very special people in my life. I call him my big brother I never had. I can tell him ANYTHING, and he's honest and supportive to me, even when I may not like to HEAR his perspective. In time, he realized that he needs to do what's best for him, but it did take me making gradual contact with him until that happened. Then the flood gates opened up. We both made the comment that after a couple of weeks that we were back to where we left off (at that time) 18 months prior.

He's still friends with the "other person", but he knows that I don't even want her name brought up. I learned of some things she said about me, and I can't accept that and how she tried to dissolve our friendship, particularly when she doesn't want to fix it with me. So he and I got our friendship back, and even with the stipulation I've put out there, it works for us. I don't know what I would do without him if he hadn't been around this year in particular. I HOPE that your friendship will make another turn as well over time. My heart sank when I read your story because I know EXACTLY where you are today. I cried for days....

Hang in there, sweetie! I'm here for you if you need an ear.

Cross food off your list. It's just not worth the hassle anymore.

My DSD Blessing has many allergies...corn, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts and certain unprocessed fruit which attributes back to her birch allergy. FYI Disney Cruiseline was wonderful working with her allergies on our NYE cruise.

And see, Jaydin has no allergies or issues with anything. That's why we don't have a clue about her triggers. She has also started this really early. Her first episode was when she was a little younger than 2 1/2.

That's good to know. I don't think I need to let them know about my daughter's condition because there's nothing they can/should do about it. Is that right??

They did such a good job with allergies and checking in and out of medication at kids club we have not even tried another cruise line.

My dd has to take medication, but only once a day at bedtime. We shouldn't have to take it to the kids' club at all. I hope ...

I think I read this in a TR at LEAST 6 months ago. A family was standing in line waiting for the "Ready, Set, Run" onto Castaway Cay, and the (I think) Chief Security Officer pulled them aside. They let their son swipe a few KTTWC, wear a badge, get a certificate, and other things as I recall. Just another bit of Disney magic!
