So, DBF and I go to pick out FE fabric today. After many walks around the store, we finally settled on our colors and went to get the fabric cut. The girl asks what we're making, so we explain the FE to her...and then the next employee and then the next employee and finally the girl at the register! I think they thought we were nuts! Oh well! Now I just have to make it...with the help of my mom since I haven't used the sewing machine in years!

You should have your room numbers in a few more days! We got ours on our Oct. cruise last year almost exactly 4 weeks out. The room # just shows up on your reservation - Don't expect an email!

Well... I got "The Call"

"Ma'ma" has passed away.. She let go this morning.. Now I hope Fay will let me get Home!!!

My friend called me and said the wake should be Wednesday and the funeral Thursday but she'll call me back with times once they confirm with the funeral parlor..

You have to come home and I have to head to FL for a funeral if Fay will let me. My uncle passed away suddenly on Saturday night and they live south of Tampa Bay. E/T is on hold until Fay passes.

Lois, thanks for the current countdown! You used the same website I go to, but I have to admit I've never noticed that we are now under 1000 hours! That actually sounds pretty good considering many of us started with way over 10,000!!

I am now leaving on Thursday at 1:25pm so I will miss the wake and the funeral..

I know you must be so disappointed. Your friend will still really need you when you get there, and you'll need her too.

Jen, I saw them, and they were very cool. I think it might have worked if the slide show could have been much slower...then it wouldn't have been so "flashy". I'm impressed nonetheless!!

BTW, it IS good news that you have at least decided on which of the 2K magnet graphics you collected that you are going to use! That must have been a feat! I ran across 3 more this weekend that I want. So they got printed today. At some point I need to stop browsing even though I say I'm not going to buy!!

Okay...I know I can look this up, but I'm just going to ask the experts here. What exactly is a chocolate devil dog??? We don't have those up here in OH-IO.

....On a brighter note, in about 39 1/2 days or so, I'll be sneaking out of the stateroom early, leaving the slumbering DW and Kiddo, to go up to Goofy's Galley to get freshly baked Stollen bread and fresh berries for Pre-breakfast!!

A devil dog is chocolate devil's food cake in the shape of a hot dog but bigger, lol, and in the middle is vanilla cream... the cake is very dry, in my opinion.. I never liked devil dogs.. Now ho hos is where it's at...

Check out Oriental Trading company...they had all kinds of 'girly pirate' stuff. CUTE CUTE things that would be perfect for her party and are not expensive at all.

Yes, yes, yes!!!!! I know! Believe it or not, I've already ordered and received everything for the party and goody bags (except the cake and such) from them. The party is not for another month, but I wanted to get that out of the way since things are SO busy for us that week. Thanks for the suggestion. Great minds think alike.

and on another note... GRRRRR..... I am soooooo MAD at Spirit airlines right now... I booked our flight for this cruise on August 1st for 9 people.. Well Today the price is $306 cheaper!!!!! Oh and Spirit doesn't give credit back to previous booked flights!!!!

Sorry about the flight, but could you send the rain my way?? We could sure use it and won't mind a TS sitting on top of us for a day or so.

This cruise is coming up FAST. I have a whole lot to do!

Glad you got all of that figured out! When I went to get the material for mine, I asked the lady if she thought my idea would work. She thought the idea of an FE was soooooo cool! And, I was glad to get the nod from her that what I had planned would actually work.

BTW, it IS good news that you have at least decided on which of the 2K magnet graphics you collected that you are going to use! That must have been a feat! I ran across 3 more this weekend that I want. So they got printed today. At some point I need to stop browsing even though I say I'm not going to buy!!

I worked on my magnets all day. I had such fun with them. I haven't printed yet, but I have designed 4 or 5, I think - along with our name badge magnets.



I also made my daughter a pirate skirt today. I think that it's pretty good. I don't sew, and I really hope that it stays together through her party, the pirate party on the ship, and Halloween. LOL! I'm definitely not a seamstress.

I just booked my flight to tampa from Philly for thursday AM since the funeral isn't until Sat AM I might get there by Friday sometime if they keep moving flights. I booked on SW.

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I just went to check on my flight as I havent for a while and wouldnt you know it AIRTRAN has changed it again.. this time buy a LOT and Im flamming mad

we were to take off at 7am with arrival at 515pm in Orlando... now we dont leave until 145PM and arrive at 1130pm on Thursday. Thats a big deal.. and traveling with the boys.. we thought we could get there with enough time on Thursday to somewhat explore eat dinner and relax at the hotel.. now its a waste of a day. Im on hold with them now but I dont see any other flights taking off that day. IM SO UPSET. I know its just airfare and at least I still have a flight but UGGG im mad. AND again no email telling me of the change I will not be using them again!

any words of wisdom???

That Stinks!!! At least when they've changed mine I actually had several options available. They changed my flight home from an 8:30PM direct - actually they eliminated the direct flight and put me on a connecting (the closest flight to my original time). Luckily there were earlier direct flights that I could take and I had them change me. They were very good about it. The only downfall is that I was hoping to spend some time in DD before we left to get a little "WDW". The good news is that we actually decided to spend Friday night at WDW (instead of at the port) and go to MNSSHP. Now, I just have to keep my fingers crossed that my early afternoon flight on Friday goes off on time. In a way, I wouldn't mind if they changed that and I had to take an earlier flight.

nope only that one flight in on Thursday at 145pm. Even going a day ahead is the same time or 7am with landing at 6, 7 or 8pm. BUT that would mean taking the boys out of school an extra day and another day of hotel and car rental an I really wasnt planning on doing anything more there before the cruise. Just the space center on Friday relaxing then getting ready to cruise. UGG frustrated.

Anyone know if I can switch on airtran to frontier? THey have a flight leaving Orange county to orlando at 645am arriving at 415pm. But would we have to take that back? or could we keep the orlando to san diego flight back that is at 9am. Cuz the flight back from Orlando to Orange county isnt till 5pm arriving back in Cali at 1045pm way to late for the boys that have to go to school the next day.

Guess Ill be calling airtran again. and here i thought i was done with most of the big planning stuff .... HAHA guess not..

Yesterday was DS4's first day of Pre-K and he did great! No tears and he hardly even said goodbye to Mom! But now after his first 'school' day, he's got his first 'out of school' day because of Tropical Storm Fay. It kind of stinks because it would have been better to get right back into it today... and the storm seems to have fizzled.
