So I was just looking through the Local Harvest website Hadley mentioned. Any sort of "local" thing is listed.

Including this lady who will make yarn from your dog or cat's shed fur. She says she'll make a blanket out of it. :rotfl:

Our dog sheds A LOT...maybe dog hair scarfs for all FE gifts! Tee hehehehehe

I'm glad you're all finding your way to your new home!!

I'm sitting the airport, so I thought I would get caught up on all the posts from yesterday. Wowza! You were all busy. Now I still have homework to go find the thread Brandie closed out and the drama on the thread Epperbiker posted to. We love you both!!

Okay...for starters, I am SOOOO glad I didn't eat any breakfast with all of that worm talk!

I did meet Dan (of 'Dan and Scott' this morning). Hi Dan! My first DIS Meets went really well, so I guess I'll try it again on September 27! What a nice guy! I must congratulate them on their upgrade. I won't spoil the news, but they are lucky ducks indeed! He brought a mini album of pictures from one of his kazillion cruises. :) That was nice to see. I also enjoyed hearing a little about their cruise that went to Barcelona last summer and the westbound Trans-Atlantic. I can't wait to have these chit chat opportunities will all the rest of you!

Question of the Week
What is your favourite Disney song???

Hadley and Brandie, I join you with "Kiss the Girl". I had this as my ringtone on my cell phone until I bought a new one in April. The only version they had was HORRIBLE. I was SO bummed I couldn't transfer the file. So now I have the "Sex in the City" theme.

Hey Drea!
I was just filling out the Secret Mickey survey and asking Dave for his answers and he said it would be so much easier if Mickey Mates would offer a Secret Mickey gift registry:lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

How about two days in a row?

Monday morning... Walk out to garage fridge to get a drink for DD's lunch. Something creepy crawly tickles my feet. Scream for about 30 seconds straight. My throat is STILL sore.

Next, my connection to work is broken...
Go to the doctor....
I need gasoline...yup, it sprayed ALL OVER THE PLACE!..
Get to work. Monitor is broken.... Then the second monitor dies...
Oh and did I mention I have an urgent bug to fix on my desk, and the database I need to test on WILL. NOT. INSTALL...

Um...yeah. JB, you get the award. UGH....you poor thing.

Also my sympathies go out to all of you with flight change challenges. Grrrr.

Well, this was good timing. The plane just arrived and is deboarding, so it's time to pack it up!

TTYS!

So was this a project you did with the kids, or a project of your own? Jeff laughs at me sometimes when I say it's a "homeschool project" but it's something I'm totally having fun with & Reese could care less. At least with the worm bin, it's an ongoing thing so Reese can participate.

Well, umm, let's see . . .Rio is away at camp and Marika is currently floating on Lake Powell with her grandparents (at least I HOPE she is flaoting--we have heard anything frmo this since they got on the lake Saturday morning--I was good until yesterday when nervous mommy kicked in full force:confused: ) so I guess this was a me project. As far as maintaining it, etc. the kids will certainly be involved. Marika is particualr is a worm lover (seriously--we used to go to EPCOT during the flower festival and she would spend forver playing with the worms:rotfl2: ) They know all about how worms make the soil better, etc. and are very fond of doing green things. But, it is soemthing we would do rather they were homeschooled or not. So, htey will be a part of it and htey will continue to learn through it, does that make it a homeschool project or not?:confused3

Just wanted to stop by and say hi!!! I need to answer the question of the week...I'll do that a bit later. I'm happy because I got a new computer at work (I killed the other one!) and now I can get Park Hopper Radio on Live365 again!!!! Yay for Disney music at work! :cheer2:

As Kimberly mention I had the great luck of meeting her today at my work!
I was great to finally put a face with the posts. I can't wait to hear how her surprise weekend goes.

Take care all and have a great holiday weekend!

Dan

I had never even heard of this station - oh my gosh - it is INCREDIBLE - makes you feel like you are there (well if you shut your eyes) - of course my readiness level to go on vacation went well above normal  :rolleyes1

So I wonder if we are all just the type of people who have to have the last word and that's why this group is so chatty? What a fun trip this will be.

Anyway, just spent hours upon hours getting caught up on our thread and I have a question I don't think I've seen answered anywhere. I saw the posts for the dining rotation. We chose Late Dining, but how do we know before the cruise (or don't we) if we are 8:00, 8:15 or 8:30?

It used to be you couldn't tell until you checked in and got your Key to the World Card, so from my experience, you don't know. We've always gotten the same rotation on all three cruises, though, so I'm hoping that holds up.

And now a question We put in a request for a specific head waiter. Has anyone every done this, and if so, does it usually work out? He was our waiter on our last cruise, and has since been promoted, and we loved him.

Julie

Airtran.... Just a FYI for those flying Airtran like me. They have new and diffrent flight times for all my flights. The good news is a direct flight from MCO to DAY opened up so yeah we are now on direct flights both times

Only hours & hours? Not days & days??? :rotfl:

We were originally booked on a non-stop flight from Chicago to Orlando on Air Tran, we just received an email letting us know it now has a layover in Atlanta. Very disturbing

Guess I better find another good rate somewhere :) :surfweb:

Ok, I will just wait patiently. Thanks!

Also, thanks, everyone who posted about AirTran flights getting changed. I checked ours and instead of a direct flight leaving around 9:30am Sunday, they put us on a flight with a two hour layover in ATL leaving at 7:00am Sunday. I called and said there was no way I'd make a 7am flight with a teenager in tow. They let me change so now I get to take a much later flight on Sunday, which is what I wanted in the first place but was too cheap to pay for. We do still have a connecting flight in ATL, but no long layover. Good thing I checked, they didn't email me or anything.

He said "Yes, ma'am, we did email you - on April 30" which is funny because I didn't book the flight until May 31st. Oh well, it's all squared away now.

I still have not told the girls about this trip. Next week is my family reunion and I hope no one spills the beans! :scared:

I was hoping to do the Dolphine encounter in Cozemel but it looks booked. I am just glad we didn't tell the kids. It was going to be HUGE surprise.

So what else are people doing? in Coz.
