This cruise is really bumming me out..

Okay--this is totally off topic and nothing more than a proud mommy brag so ignore it if you want to:
Marika is now a BLACK BELT CANDIDATE (big deal, passed a big test, not as big of a deal as the black belt will be, but pretty significant none the less). I am so proud of her. I think maybe we should take a cruise to celebrate

Oh yeah and 52 hours and counting

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW how proud you are (my oldest is a 2nd degree black in Tang Soo Do), and I'm so happy for Marika. That's just wonderful.




Ok .... tie dye posted on my blog. I'm really pretty pleased with how *most* of them turned out. I hate that my little one's doesn't have a Mickey head on it, but she's happy with the shirt anyway - and I'm NOT mentioning the fact that there's no Mickey on there.



I'm in single digits today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH that's horrible....I KNOW how you feel. And just a little word of advice.......make sure you put several boxes of baking soda in the fridge and freezer.... I hate that you lost everything but also check your homeowners. Since it was due to a 'hurricane' you might be covered for the food loss.....

Oh thank you SO much for the baking soda tip! I'm going out at lunch to buy a bunch unless others have been brilliant like you and already thought of it! That didn't even cross my mind!!! I'll certainly be looking into my insurance!

Yup thats the new name... between all our illnesses on here, Hurrican victims, etc... My issue isnt as bad but makes me mad and sad LOL

Went home last night to find that E deceided to clean up the wires and cords under the computer desk (remeber he is home till we cruise so he is BORED!) well when he plugged it back in... ERROR msg. SO he left it till I got home, he didnt want to deal with calling Dell so I had to (thats a whole nother thread though) After calling and trouble shooting (and after asking what a billion times cuz of the language barriors) come to find out Ill have to reinstall my windows... GREAT but before I can do that I need to take it somewhere and HOPE and PRAY they can extract a yrs worth of pics from my hard drive. Just what I need another thing to add to my list. I dont have time for this. BUT I need my pc before we cruise, and I just cant not go on a cruise not knowing if pics are salvageable or on. I wont have a good time NOT knowing. SO off to the geek squad I go today. UGGG I had much better plans for my lunch today.. Like SHOPPING

I have to say too (as sad as it will sound) After I thought about the pics I MAY lose (keep your fingers crossed I dont) I then thought OH NO, how am I supposed to finish my PRE TRIP REPORT ahhh then realized the 2007 pics I have already put on cd.. its just this yrs that arent shhhew LOL

SOOOOO thats my newest issue... to add to my list I need a new printer, a new pc, and a new husband! lol (can I upgrade it all, wireless printer, laptop, and The Rock)

I read somewhere on here it is a good idea to bring a large photo envelope to put any pictures from Shutters in so they do not get ruined on the way home.
I plan on putting my magnets in them for the trip there so they do not get bent or ruined too!
if you have a picture people around you ask for one of their photo holders its pretty sturdy. Im taking one for mine

So then I thought maybe I should email DU to see if they could arrange something ahead of time?

Hi Double Dippers,

I'm not going on your Double Dip, but will be on the Christmas Double Dip and am here to ask if any of you were planning to post your Navigators when you get back. I know our itinerary is slightly different, with the Grand Cayman and Cozumel days switched, but I'm still anxious to see the Navigators, especially to find out if DCL changes Ocean Quest back to being for tweens 10-14 years old instead of the sole club for the 11-13 group and The Stack for 14-17.

How exciting that you're all going to be on the Magic in just over a week!

IF I get my pc working again, you can be sure Ill be posting mine in my trip report! If I remember (thats asking a lot though LOL) Ill try and find your group meet and post over there after we return! Dont hold your breath on that one though lol.. I forget what I had for dinner last night so not much that Ill remember something a few weeks from now LOL

That reminds me, I need to get something to read to. We do have a 7 hour flight Not sure if I will actually get to read with 2 kids, but I am going to try.. lol

well if the baking soda is all gone you can (but its more messy) open a bag of charcole (not the kind pretreated with lighter fluid) and set it in the space (or just put a small amount in an open top container). It will absorb the odor as well..but I usually spill it everywhere then have to clean up black stuff from the fridge and well by the end I look like a chimmney sweep and we don't have a fireplace

Wow! I so rarely meet anyone who even knows what Tang Soo Do is. I'm a non-practicing ChoDan... the non-practicing part is a story in itself...
