Hey guys, those of you who have gone on a Back To Back, could you give me some informataion on what happens with the end of one cruise before the beginning of the next? Do you have to leave the ship totally? go through customs? etc? We are considering for 2010 doing a 5 and a 3 or 4 day B2B depending on the cost and the timing.

Jen: Arent' you cruising on the Oasis sometime in the future?

We were....then we weren't...now we are again....;) So, my answer is... I think so!

My cousin is getting married in St. Thomas in Jan 2010. We are (tentatively) scheduled to go on the Jan 16, 2010 Eastern on the Oasis. The ship will be three weeks old at that point and it is expen$ive. We really can't afford to do two cruises in such a short timeframe (9/09 and 1/10) so I think we are going to change our '09 Eastern on DCL to a 5 night KW on the Wonder in '10...sorry Mags, Drea, Paul...I think that's what we have to do.....:confused3

I wish my aunt would just pick up the tab for us on the wedding cruise...:rolleyes1  :rotfl: but I don't see any pigs flying.

Anyone want to jump ship from the Oasis and do the WB TA instead? It's in 2010 too! :confused3

Tiffany

I *really* wish we could!

Okay, so since I am "officially" on here at the start of the next day - here's a topic for todays pic. How about favorite pic around the ship.

I don't know if this is my favorite...but I like it. The kids watching the sunrise from Deck 7 aft:

So who is waiting with me by the phone to call for DCL for the pricing tomorrow on the Trans Atlantic Westbound??? :confused3

Anyone think they will update it online.. tonight at midnight??

Erica, I love that one! Can I snag it for my use, too?

Of course! :thumbsup2

The pics are all making me smile :goodvibes

I'm waiting to hear about the EB myself - have DU on it already, though I have no idea when they are going to let me know how much we have to pay for it

Just saw this on the TransAtl Wstbnd thread:

Pricing Info
I just called DCL and listened to their pre-recorded information about the European Cruises.

The recording stated that pricing for both trans-atlantic cruises in a CAT 11 inside stateroom will start at $999 per person based on double occupancy.

Don't know what that will mean for the other cats but its lower than what was posted originally

Arin,
You and your dh ALWAYS look happy, its so nice to see:)

Great pics, I have to find my favorite!

Fatcat, I think we are on the same cruise.

We just moved our reserviation to the Sept 26 eastbound trip. We got cat 5 for the same price we did for the double dip. Very excited. Moved our reserviation to AAA and got 250 onboard credit, that makes it 450 onboard credit for the cruise.

Looking forward to this one. Anyone else on this cruise?

That is the same exact information they have on their Website.

Love all of the pictures everybody has posted in the last two days!

Yesterday my twin and I went up to NYC to see Legally Blonde on Broadway one last time before it closes this coming weekend. :sad1: It is a great show! The only bad part there was annoying woman behind us who was cracking and chomping her gum almost the entire show! I wanted to turn around, pop one of her bubbles and then smack her on the forhead like a V8 commercial! LOL!!!

So I think we're going to do the WB Transatlantic...I think it would be fun and exciting!!!! :)

I love seeing all of these pics! We are going to watch our vacation videos tonight to relieve some of our post vacation depression ;)

We did not rebook onboard. I know we will cruise with Disney again, but not for a few years. I just booked October 2, 2010 Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas for my 30th birthday :rolleyes1 ............and I thought 18 months was a long time to wait

Hi Arin - We didn't rebook onboard either. I think it will be another few years before we cruise again. I want to wait until Erik is 5 or 6. It was tough since he was still a baby compared to the other kids and there was no reasoning with him. Are you guys planning the Oasis as a family trip or just you and hubby?

Mmm rum cake.... The guys loved the rum cake at work. Woo Hoo!!!

And the answer to the question "Why is the rum always gone?" was in my drink (and on my stateroom acct) in the form of rum-runners. Seriously, they make this drink by

1- filling the glass with ice cubes
2- adding 3 kinds of rum until the glass is about 2/3 full
3- add a splash of two different juices (I think orange and papaya)
4- shaken (not stirred)
5- add another shot of rum on the top.

Good god was I drunk! More drunk for your buck!

I have a confession. I placed an on-line order right before I left on 9/20 so I didn't have to worry about space to bring these home. I used them as thank you gifts for my neighbors who looked after my place and others who did some things to help make my trip run smoothly like pre-boarding us on Southwest on October 3. I had several bites of one last night. YUM!! I did go in the store, and the prices were similiar if not the same for what I paid on-line. SO SHHHHHHHH...no one knows that they didn't fly home with me!

I'm glad I went this route since Lionel bought the store out!
