All of you NASCAR fans PLEASE take this in the light hearted way it is intended :
It is race weekend and I want all of these crazy fan people out of my state! Rio and I went down to Concord today to get items he will need for camp next week and our normally 30 minute drive home took almost 45 minutes and we are still on the very edge of what the crowds will be. Worse--we have to get Rio to camp tomorrow afternoon (height of the craziness) and the camp is VERY close to Loudon so we cannot go some alternate way and avoid all of this. Please, go home and just watch the race on TV, Kay?

Sorry to hear you're having to deal w/this. I know things get pretty crazy during race weekend - esp when there's only 1 way in & 1 way out (don't remember if this is the case w/Loudon, but I know it is for some venues). Too bad the race & camp drop off are the same weekend.

Hope everyone got what they wanted.

I got Palo brunch on Monday at 10.30 . Had no problems at all. Seemed to be a lot of dinners available but no tea.

I'm off to get ready for bed now (9.30pm) as we had a late night last night.

Anyone know if you can go up and get scones and cream to go? I know they'll make chocolate souffles at night, so maybe they'll pack a bag of scones for me.

I decided not to do dinner, because it wouldn't be great fun alone, and I can't pass the 14 year old off as a grown up, though she'd love Palo.

Goodmorning everyone. Well at 12:07 I was all booked for Palo and excursions. I (WE) are doing Palo Sun. at 6:00 pm, the Pirate Encounter Tues. and The Jeep Exploration on Wed. Hope to see some of you there also.

I got dinner but no brunch or tea. Want to schedule at meet at Rockin Bar D so we can all try once again to get our hearts desire? I know that's where I will be going. I have cruised 5 times and have yet to try brunch and really want to do that this time.

I am sure if I do not get it for the double Dip that I should be able to get it for the next cruise. So I am not going to let it concern me too much. I am going to try to move Palo to an earlier time as well. Over all it went well. Who can I plan on seeing when you get on board trying for Brunch and tea ressies?

I think I got everything I wanted!

When I logged in just after midnight I saw there were options to choose brunch, tea or dinner for Palo. So I think I could have gotten brunch or tea right then had I picked it - but I wanted just dinner only.

I just checked this morning and there is still availability for every day for dinner at Palo's. Many time slots are open too. The most booked day seems to be Day 6 (Thurs. Oct. 2).

For Cozumel I chose the Fury Catamaran Sail, Snorkel and Beach Party - anyone else doing that or know anything about it? It got good reviews from Passporter.

I hope everyone got what they wanted last night! I saw the boards were down.

I spoke w/DCL about dining rotations & here's what they said:

5:30 LAALAP
5:45 APPLAPL
6:00 PLLAPLA

They were basing this on the Western Itinerary & couldn't say for sure if it would be the same for the Alternate Western.

I think the late seatings would follow the same pattern for 8:00, 8:15 & 8:30.

Ok, now I'm truly confused! How can this be? That puts TWO rotations in the SAME restaurant on nights 4 - 7????? As far as I can remember, there is NOT enough room for two rotations in one dining room at a time.

Ok, now I'm truly confused! How can this be? That puts TWO rotations in the SAME restaurant on nights 4 - 7????? As far as I can remember, there is NOT enough room for two rotations in one dining room at a time.
