Any suggestions on ground transportation from Disney to the port? I finally got return trip plane tickets for the 6th, so now I need to get back and forth between Disney and the port.

Julie

We had originally booked with FL Tours but ended up booking a rental instead but we are doing Disney after. What airline and time are you flying on Oct 6th? We are flying from MCO to PHL on the 6th around noon on Airtran.

Just checking something....
So tomorrow at midnight we can Book reservations.. yes? :confused3
Not tonight at midnight, but tomorrow at midnight..

Ahaaaa..... DISBoards is doing a delay before posting thing... Interesting...

Shorter posts (answers to questions) are posted before the questions (longer posts).

If you create a short post and then edit it, you keep your place "in line."

That was really Freaky... My short post jumped in front of the last 2 posts.. Even though I read them and saw they were posted.. I didn't edit or anything.. and yet my post says "time wise" it was posted before the last 2..

Very Freaky:scared1:

You can change your mind about excursions up until 3 days before the cruise starts. :)

Thank you!! :)

I'm going to book the Atlantis Submarine, hopefully for the morning, then have the afternoon to either beach or walk around and shop.

It's kind of a pricey excursion, so I didn't want to be stuck with it if my dh and dd decide they don't want to do it.

Now, on to Cozumel...Tulum ruins anyone? Yay or nay?

Have I told you all how awesome you all are!?!

Stella <--- who should be fined for excessive use of exclamation points today!!!!!

Just want to make sure I have this down right we can book spa stuff ahead of time, but salon stuff we can't book until we are on the ship?

We're flying Southwest like 7:00 AM on the 6th. We'll be at Saratoga Springs after the trip.

Wow this IS really freaky:scared1: My mind is going crazy coming across answers to questions that haven't been posted??? :confused3 Like reading phishgirl's response to scoutsmom99 before I read her question:eek:

1. How do we know what time we're expected in GC? Does anyone know what time that is?

DCL gave me these ashore times last week when I called:

Day 2 - CC: 8:30-4
Day 4 - Grand Cayman: 7:30-4:30
Day 5 - Cozumel: 8:00-6:30
Day 7 - CC: 9:30-5

Those are actual shore times and not when the ship docks (which is like an hour earlier).

We did the Seaworld Semi sub in GC and it was very nice - located right where the tender drops you off practically.

There is some shopping right near the tender location. I don't know if that is the main part of town or there is more to it (probably more to it than I saw). We looked in some stores but there was nothing overly awesome right there.

Carol, thanks for this. I had times noted on Post #6, but I was incorrect with Friday's Castaway Cay time. So it's all modified for all of you now!

How did you know it was the Hyatt on Hotwire???? Inquiring minds want to know;)

Folks tend to post on the general cruise board here when they hit the MCO Hyatt on Hotwire - there is a list of criteria that indicated the Hyatt, but unfortunately I don't recall the specifics now. One thing I do remember was you have to be mindful of the Trip Advisor rating AND the number of reviews... if the hotel had only 20-30 TA reviews, it was some other hotel, but if it had more than 80, it was the Hyatt. Sorry I can't be of more help at the moment... maybe try a search on the main cruise board? Surely someone has hit the Hyatt recently.

I just know I had the room booked traditionally for $199/night, and landed it on Hotwire for $83.

My question of today...

I've seen some of you have booked through Disney then transferred the reservation to a TA in order to get onboard credits. I booked using DVC point - does anyone know if we can do the same?

Thanks!

No sorry you can't! DVC/DCL believes that you are already getting a discounted rate-however we both know that is not true. We used points once to cruise and will never do it again-I know rent my points for cash and pay cash for the cr4uise-I use less points this way.

Sorry

Dan

Hey Dan! Did your co-workers tell you that I came by yesterday morning to introduce myself and say "Hello"?

No they sure didn't! Did they tell you I was at Tuttle mentoring a new manager? Next week is my last week there as I accepted a promotion! I am so sorry I missed you-I was wearing my new Hawaiian AMPM shirt too! LOL

Sorry

:rotfl: It was Hawaiian Shirt Friday?! Darn!

Congrats on your promotion! :goodvibes Well it would be great to meet a DISer before we cruise, so I'll do my best to stop by this week. It likely won't be until Wed, or I'll stop by on my way to the airport Thursday morning. Would that work?

I asked Mike to tell him that Kimberly stopped by to see you. He said "Okay". Then added "Kimberly from the cruise." Then he smiled and said a more emphatic "OHHH...Okay!" He did say that you had to go to another location but you were expected back around 11:00. I had to go home for lunch yesterday, so I looked to see if your Disney plates were in the parking lot, but I didn't see them, so Ididn't stop again.
