Wow. Missed 5 days. Lot to read Was in Vegas for work conference.

Hope everyone is doing well. I did not win enough for the cruise. But I did leave with more than I went with. I had no expenses since it was a work conference.

And another PA family- we're from Philadelphia.

We should have a big PA party this summer.

Julie

Hi all, happy weekend!

Can't wait to see pics of little Sarah this week! That's great that all the hospitals have internet so readily...

Well, all this PA talk has me feelin' all lonley out here in Texas :rolleyes1

he he he he he

Janet and I are in Missouri. At least we are on the same side of the country. Does that make you feel any less lonely? Maybe we should plan a get together someplace out in the midwest? Lois

We are about 25 miles south of Philly and 5 minutes from Delaware ( the home of tax free shopping :dance3: ) Just off of Intersate 95

Okay ~~ looked it up on the map! The closest I get to anything in the Philly area is my sister's house. She lives in Freemansburg......on the outskirts of Bethlehem and my niece and nephew live in Hellertown.

I did fly out of Phila. airport last month for a vacation to the Dominican Republic with my sister and BIL if that counts as being there.

WE ARE HOME:cheer2: :cheer2:

Rachel is doing so much better, and we are all glad to be home

She should be able to finish up the school year, I will probably send her for a few hourse Tues and slowly increas her time there, her teacher has been amazing

Now the fun begins, she is on a high dose of antibiotic so I am sure her stomach will be a mess, but its good to FINALLY see her feeling MUCH BETTER!

thanks again for ALL the support

Denise, that's wonderful news on all counts!! She'll be even better now she's home and in her own bed! I'm thankful she's so much better and it's great that her teacher is being so understanding. Thanks again for taking the time out to keep us updated.

I'm back! I came back Tuesday evening but was too tired to read emails or DIS until Wednesday and did not catch up on everything until today!

....Kimberly, if you are looking into cruising Hawaii through Norwegian (SP?) don't! I heard so many horror stories from the cruisers that were docked in Kona from that ship! RC had much better comments.

...I took Grady's flat Stanly with me (He didn't know it) and took pictures with him everywhere. Printed the pictures and sent them back as postcards! He got a kick out of that! Stanly went to the beach, waterfalls, to the volcano, he hung out with geckos and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe! I purchased post card stickers before I left that you peel and stick to the back of pictures to make them stiff so they will mail easily.
....

Tiffany, sorry for the delay, but welcome back! (or not!!) :rotfl2:

Actually, I have been looking at Norwegian for the sole reason they are the only cruiseline who is registered there, so they can cruise from island to island and not have to cross the Pacific. I would rather spend my time actually IN Hawaii than 6 days at sea and then some cruising around. *IF* I indeed end up doing this, I'm thinking I want to spend a few days at a hotel and sightsee there instead of crossing the Pacific. So that's a BIG disappointment. Thanks for the heads up though.

I finally took a look at your video of the Honu. Those are amazing creatures! I just love the still shot you posted!! I'm glad you had such a great time. Feel free to let us all live vicariously through you with more pictures! Did the "BunnyPod" get any good use? I'm still waiting for a reason to use mine.

You are such a good mom!! I love it that you took Stanly on vacation with you! What a wonderful way to connect Grady to you and letting him know he was with you in spirit all the time. It's also pretty funny! I'm tucking that idea away!

Casting Call For Travel Channel/Disney Special

Hi Everyone!

The Travel Channel has contacted us about recommending families to participate in a Disney Vacation Club special to be filmed at Walt Disney World.

"The topic of this show is about the Disney Vacation Club Villas. Ideally, we are interested in casting families that have been a part of the clubs before and are familiar with their properties, amenities, etc. However, if you know of some dynamic, fun, energetic, and great families, please have them get in touch with me as well. We plan on shooting the show in Orlando and/or at nearby destinations featuring the Disney Vacation Villas in June, 2008.

Ideal families should:

* Have affinity toward Disney travel/vacationing
* Be fans of Disney
* Be multi-generational (possibly live or have support of grandparent(s)/extended family such as sisters, brothers, etc.)
* Be ethnically-diverse
* Have flexibility to travel first two weeks of June 08 (firm travel/shoot dates TBD)
* Interested in future travel and stay Disney Vacation Club with family (beyond production of Travel/Disney special) to Walt Disney World."

If you feel that you or someone you know meets the qualifications, email me at johngross@affordabledisney.com and I'll forward the contact info to you.

See you real soon!
John

Hi Everybody - I know there are quite a few homeschool families going on the cruise and my husband and I are trying to decide if we want to do this for 6th grade. Curriculum, tips, advice, anything would be appreciated because we are really confused, but leading toward homeschool. My daughter wants this, but I am a little nervous. THANK YOU!!!!!!
