Hadley, love your Easter picture. Hope everyone had a great day! Beautiful weather here for the Easter egg hunt. My nieces and nephews had a great time hunting for eggs with my kids. We had a great brunch and a wonderful time. Everyone was here at my house (14 of us, plus my neighbors for dessert).

Has everyone booked their airfare for their trip yet? We are flying JetBlue. What's everyone else doing? Videoman, did you book your flights yet?

I haven't even figured it out yet My big dilemma right now is I can't decide if I want to do the park pre-cruise (Sept 21-27) or post cruise (Oct 4-11) I figure I will probably end up booking it in June or maybe July that seems to be the time when I can find decent airfare for September/early October from here.

Yes ......we booked JetBlue Leaving JFK @ 7:10 am....You are leaving the night before...correct?

We're also waiting on airfare, for Southwest to release September dates. We've never flown them before, so if anyone has experience with them out of Philadelphia, let me know.

to all who observe it. We don't have Easter (Pascha) for another month, so we're just two weeks into Lent (which for us means no meat, and supposedly no eggs, dairy, alcohol, olive oil for 42 days). We don't do well with no dairy though.

Airfare...
I just checked and reward seats are not available on my return trip home. I have all these miles and they never have available seats.

Bleh. Perhaps I will get a magazine subscription.

I am also getting upset with some airlines 1 bag rule. My kid weighs 28 pds. I think I should get another bag allowance.


I guess if I see a fair deal I will grab it. Who knows if there will be an adjustment with gas prices. I saw $188 round trip the other day. It is now $198. If it drops back down I think I will grab it.

Good Morning All!

It's been so long since I've posted, but I've been reading. I had to post today because I sat down this morning to catch-up on about 5 pages and the first thing I read is that we can't take our liquid refreshments on board and that our cruise is in danger of being cancelled!!!

My first thought while reading the first few posts was "I'm going back to bed!", but upon reading further I see that all is OK!

That was not a good way to start a Monday morning!

I'm so sorry to read that we have lost 2 families from our cruise, but I certainly understand! It's hard to book something a year out and things not get in the way!

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! We went to a sunrise service here in town and it was very nice. We then ventured over to IHOP and the kids had a stack of the Who Cakes. They seemed to enjoy them!

I'll try to get better at keeping in touch!

Airfare
Flying AirTran for this trip out of Philadelphia, but we are flying Southwest for our Vero Beach trip in May. We flew Southwest from Philadelphia in October 06 and we didn't have any problems. I will let you know how May goes since it has been a year and half since last Southwest trip. I just think they have better times on the return side to Philly than Airtran. I also can never get a decent rate with US Air.

My daughter is also waiting on Southwest to release for the Sept trip she is flying AirTran down with her sister, but hasn't booked return home yet. I think SW is releasing their Sept and Oct prices around mid April.

I did something sneaky to Fiona. I wrote messages on the eggs from the "Easter Bunny" with the wax crayon before she started dying the eggs. After they were dried (and I had "arranged" them), I pointed them out and she was pretty tickled. Pretty neat!

Oh, and if anyone wants to help me eat these boiled eggs, please drop by! I foresee egg salad, deviled eggs, and breakfast buddies for our next few days. I doubt DH will take an egg into work, seeing as the guys will give him grief for his "pretteeee" breakfast. *chuckle*

We are loaded with boiled eggs here too! I made some deviled eggs yesterday for brunch, but still have a bunch left, so no help here.

Yep, we are leaving on Friday night around 5 PM this way the kids don't have to miss another entire day of school. Flights were pricey compared to last summer, but with the holiday being that week we figured we had better book now and then if the price goes down, we can always get a jetblue credit. As it is, the prices already have gone up $50.00 going and $20.00 coming home.....doesn't look good for any credit yet.

I know about the prices....I booked my famly first then my freinds family and the price went up $100 within 10 minutes
