I called Disney and the supervisor checked with someone higher up and they don’t see any changes anticipated for your cruise. You shouldn’t be concerned.

I just needed to vent for a minute...

I've been working at my local Disney Store for almost 9 years now...I've been through the sale to the Children's Place and now it looks like Disney may want us back. I'm happy about that fact but I'm nervous that they will close about 1/3 of the stores and I don't want mine to be one of them. We were one of the top 50 stores last year and we do make a profit for the company. The managers are fairly confident that we will be ok, but it just scares me. It's not just a job, it's a family and I don't want anything to happen to my Disney family.

To top it all off, I'm having a CRAZY day at my full time job. All of the nutjobs from this area are visiting the science center today!!!! Grrrr!!!!

Just had a vent...thanks for listening.

It would be cool if the Disney Store went back to Disney. I never understod why it got sold off. Yes it had more Clothing choices but less toys IMO

Our group will not be sailing with you due to a number of things, some financial, some personal. My daughter had booked this cruise for us over a year ago. We were all looking forward to it until December. In December we took a trip with my daughter's family to Disney World and a cruise on Carnival's Fascination. We all had a great time at Disney World, but my daughter didn't fare so well on the cruise. She didn't feel well the whole time. She thinks it was seasickness triggering migraines. They are not eager to spend the money for a Disney cruise when she is going to be miserable the whole time. I had to have surgery in November and was still recovering while at Disney World. Then, in February, I had gallbladder surgery. Last Friday, my husband had an accident while driving my van. Someone turned right in front of him. The chief of police happened to be right behind my husband, so there was no problem as to who was at fault. My husband has some neck problems and his shins got scuffed up by the airbag. My van, however, might be totaled. The whole front end is smashed. All of this adds up to $$$, from me being out of work for surgery and now out of a vehicle. So we have called and cancelled our bookings. It was through a company that has vacations to go on. We had two connecting Navigator's Verandahs. You might be able to snatch them up if you know someone who wants them. I was looking forward to meeting all of you in person. Hope it's a great cruise.

I am so sorry for all the bad Luck. You will be missed but I believe all things happen for a reason. There is something better just waiting for you. Maybe a trip to WDW instead of a cruise. I find I need to watch what I eat even closer when on vacation. Might ask you daughter if she was drinking enought of that clear liquid called water. If I don't drink at least 64 oz a day I will get a migrain. It would be very easy not to drink the water as there are so many fun things to drink. But for me it has to be water or it does not work.

TheDisneyGirl02 I am sorry you are stressing baotu the job right now. That uncertainty is a terrible feeling. I think if your store is one of the top 50 performers you are very likely to remain open I hope you hear confirmation of that soon.

So does anyone remember my stories of our Fresh Air Fund child, D, from last summer? Well, the Fund called earlier in the week and after talking it over we have decided to do it again Yes, we may in fact be crazy This year D will come in August--and he is staying only 10 days instead of 14 which I think will make a tremendous difference (and we now know what to expect which will really help). So look forward to some more interesting adventures come summer (not that I can remember what summer feels like right about now )
