Welcome to the new posters :goodvibes

Congrats to all of you that found such great deals on your airline tickets!:thumbsup2
We used airline mile to book our flights like 6 months ago. We are taking the red-eye from PDX on the evening of the 24th and will arrive at MCO at 7:30 a.m. for our 2 day pre-cruise stay at Ron Jon Resort.

I keep "accidentally" going to Disneyshopping.com and spending a lot of money on all kinds of cute stuff for the kids and a few things for myself and the husband. :rolleyes1 I have our embarkation day outfits all picked out, (they aren't matching, but all disney themed) My DH thinks i'm crazy  Hey, I have to do something to pass the time until the cruise ;)

I keep "accidentally" shopping, too.....I keep buying us new disney ties or fabric to make new disney ties....so our collection is crazy! Those who were on the TransAtlantic with us will remember Jason and I's infamous disney ties at dinner------we wore a different disney tie to dinner every night of the 14 night cruise and we never wore the same tie twice and on only one night did we have the exact same tie on (except for formal night)....so we brought a total of 26 ties with only one duplicate in the bunch..........well in the past couple months I've gone on another tie buying frenzy and I think we now have almost enough ties that we'll do the same thing on this trip....and possibly not have to even wear any of the ties we wore on the last cruise!! So my disney tie collection is getting big....not as big as my tigger collection...but big! :rotfl:

....and what's fun about our ties is that very few of them are actually Mickey ties.....they represent a bunch of other Disney characters and films.....and some I custom made..........like keep an eye out this year for our fancy disney princess ties!!!:lovestruc :lovestruc

Erik, that sounds awesome - I can't wait to see them! Meanwhile I'm having trouble finding attractive Disney ties for my 6yo son... any suggestions for me?

Here is a quick post because it is Monday and we need a Question of the Week(I figure it is almost noon and no one else has posted one yet so here goes).

What is your favourite Disney Animated Film? (PIxar counts)

Our answers" Me--I think Beauty and the Beast I remember growing up on mostly blond heroines, nearly all kind of dizty and just dying for a "prince" and seeing Beauty and comming out and telling my best friend in high school that Disney finally made a movie about ME.

Dave--he isn't here so I haven't actaully asked him but I am pretty sure it is Atlantis.

Both kids think I am insane to expect it can be narrowed down to even a short list:lmao:
Marika--"I like pretty much all of them okay, but I never much cared for animation" This is true. But when pressed she goes for The Little Mermaid because she likes the music (tomorrow it will change;) )
Rio--is saying Lilo and Stitch having narrowed it down to the ones we own to make it easier. Funny becuase he is the only one in our family who likes that one:confused3

On other topics:
Skoi--
Erik--OOooooh new ties!!!! Excitement. Dinner just got more fun:upsidedow Is everyone still planning a group DIS Disney tie night?

My favorite movie: The Little Mermaid.

Fiona's: Sleeping Beauty.

DH: I'm thinking Monsters, Inc or Robots.

Greetings from NYC everyone. Jason and I just checked into our hotel here in Manhattan. I'm here for work and Jason tagged along so we could see some shows while we're in town.

My favorite Disney animated film is the Little Mermaid (and w'ere seeing the show tmw night!!)....although I do also love the Tigger Movie. Jason's favorite is Peter Pan.

As for Disney ties for kids.....on ebay right now there's a very cute Cars tie taht I wish was big enough for Jason and I....so I'd look at that one!

No we are not seeing Wicked this NYC trip because the national tour is coming to Rochester in mid-May and I have tickets to see it 4 times while it's in Rochester....so we figured we can skip it this trip.

So I tried to get into the Double Dip site but I have not received an email back with verification details. Is the site still active and how long does it take? Yes I have checked my spam file.

Thanks
Dan

For those of you using passports: Do you still bring your birth certificate and/or Social Security Card on the trip with you and if so, originals or certified copies? Do you also bring an extra copy of your passport? And lastly, is a certified copy just a copy that you have notarized? Thanks in advance to all of you travel experts ;)

FAVORITE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me: VERY TOUGH, I really like 3, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Finding Nemo, in that order

DH; Used to be Cinderealla but he moved onto Toy Story

Rachel: Lady and the Tramp

Matthew: Peter Pan

Great questions!

We only travel on passports, no other documentation. We've only taken certified/ apostilled copies when we've gone far abroad- China and Kazakhstan, for Mexico, Bahamas, the Caribbean islands we've just taken regular copies.

Thanks for the hugs NHDisneylover. I'm just waiting to get this over with. It's been two months since we heard he was going, and it'll be good to have the deployment actually start. It's like being in limbo.

Less serious: my favorite movie: Mulan (we had hoped to visit the temple dedicated to the real Mulan when we went to Hubei to finish Alex's adoption, but the weather was too bad-we got stuck in all of that snow).

dd 13's favorite movie: Beauty and the Beast

ds 9: Lilo and Stitch

dd3: anything with a princess, except Mulan. Go figure.

ds 3: still isn't really watching TV, but looked at Snow White for about two minutes today.

dh: none, really. He's not a movie-TV type of guy unless it's '80s English comedies.

Julie

Favorite Disney movie, huh?
Hmmmm......

It's a cross between Lilo and Stitch and Ratatouille. The latter is my favorite Pixar movie to date, and the former I love for the combination of animation and beautiful watercolor backgrounds. Oh, and all of the Elvis references ;)

Though, after June I might pick Wall.E :thumbsup2

Favorite movie-hmmmmmm for me it has to be Lilo and Stitch as I dates the co-director of the movie! He has since left the company and formed a new company with the other co-director of the film.

Jen (Nenner1), it's another week down for Sarah!!! :cutie: I hope you're both feeling okay!

Aren't we expecting another 3 or 4 month old at the time of the cruise??? Anyone?? :confused3

Leslie, thanks so much for the USA Today link! That's very encouraging for the people of Costa Maya! Great news for us as well! (I added that link to Post #6.)

Erik, I hope you and Jason have a FABulous time in NYC!!!!

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: FAVORITE DISNEY/PIXAR ANIMATED FILM??
Hmmm...tough question actually. I guess I would say I love Little Mermaid and Lion King 1 1/2 best.

I just discovered that my new camera has a "food" mode!! :mickeybar So this camera can see when you smile and eat?!?! :lmao: It says food mode sets the camera so saturation will be high, making food look appetizing. Very cool! I love taking pictures of attractively plated food. (weird, I know)
