The CM accidentally switched me from Preferred Room to Water/Pool view room after applying the code to my existing reservation, so double-check it by either checking on the Disney website or call!

They were able to switch it back without any problems.

When I called first thing yesterday morning the CM told me the AP Discount dis not apply to the preferred buildings and we HAD to switch to a Water/Pool view room in order to apply the discount..

What discount code did you use?

When I converted my room only at the Pop with the Visa discount I was also downgraded to standard view. The CM told me once our old reservation was cancelled out she could apply the preferred room to the new package. Well, that didn't happen for whatever reason. At first I wasn't going to stress over it considering what I saved. However the DP was worried we would be stuck in the in 80's or 90's section, and for 8 days that extra walking adds up.

Later that night I sent them an email inquiring about a preferred room. They adjusted my reservation and charged me $94 more. Overall it was still cheaper than my room only AAA rate sans park tickets. I don't know if that's an official policy or just something they did for me since I had the preferred room only reservation. I'm not complaining either way.

Hmmm.. That's odd. We used code ZQH (General Public Code w/ Dining) and were able to keep the Preferred Room when I called back. I told the CM I would rather not use the code if it meant losing our Preferred Room so she switched it back and the discount was still applied.

I double-checked my reservation this morning and it's still showing the Preferred Room at the new rate. Maybe it's different depending on the resort?
