Double Beds?

I am staying at Sequoia Lodge in August. In our party there is me, my partner, three kids and a family friend. We have booked two rooms and the plan in DS, 8, shares with the family friend. We have been told that as there will only be 2 people in that room there will only be 1 double bed. This isn't really what we want, does anyone know if this is true or if we are allowed to request one with 2 beds?

For your own peace of mind, put in a request for 2 x 2 Queen bed rooms, but I don't think you'll need to, there are far more of this type of room at SL than those with 1 Kingsize. From our own experience as a party of 5 - 2 adults and 3 kids, we got 2, 2 bed rooms and the only request I'd made was that they were adjoining.
