My family and I are going to Dorney Park next weekend. I have a few questions. First, do they allow snacks or drinks to be brought into the parks? We visited Sesame Place last week and learned we could not bring items into the park. But we saw many people with there own lunches, etc. Does Dorney sell a mug that you can get refilled with soda? How far is the crayola factory from Dorney Park? Is it worth going to? Thanks to anyone who can help!!

This is from the Dorney Park website.

Food and Beverages
Food or picnic lunches, coolers, and beverages may not be brought into Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. A public picnic area is located just outside the Dorney Park Entrance and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Other picnic areas within the Park are for groups which participate in Dorney Park’s catered outing program. Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is not responsible for any items left unattended in the picnic area.

I don't know if they have refillable mugs. The Crayola factory is about 10-15 minutes away. I have never been but heard it is good.

You beat me to it :teeth:

The first come/cirst serve picnic pavilion is outside the main gate to DP/WWK. It's pretty big. As for refillable beverages - I think they sell a large cup that you can have refilled inexpensively.

Have a great time!

We always bring our lunch and just leave it in a cooler in the car. The park and parking lot isn't that huge, so it isn't a big deal to leave for an hour and eat our lunch. There is a picnic grove near the entrance, and people eat their lunches there all the time. There are also several fast food places nearby that are a quick drive too.

I have never been to the Crayola Factory, but I heard it is pretty neat. I don't think it takes very long to get through though, so it is not an all day event.

Just went last Sat. left cooler in the car and went back out to eat at
lunch...Yes they have "hydra" new coaster for refilllable mugs they are about $5.50 each and $2.50 to refill...
I live less than an hour from ther e- not my favorite park very very croweded
in the water park and long lines - ride park is laid out sort of funny and has a
very very big hill from the original park layout to walk up...
It's okay but won't hurry back - we love Hershey so much better.
