Dorky Disney Cruisers, 11/22-26/06,Anyone else with us???

Just spoke to my travel agent today and my docs are suppose to be sent on Monday or Tuesday of next week, on a 3 day UPS shippment, I shoud have them be Friday. By the way, what is in the "docs"? From what my agent tells me, If we filled everything out online we are pretty much done. Is this the case? What is so special about the docs? Are they in a really cool package that I would want to keep? Please Do tell.

The "docs" are the cruise line official documents. Even if you registered on-line, you still have to sign the DCL contract and bring certain paper work with you to the terminal in order to cruise.

Is it close or what!!!!

Thanks Randy...font looks good. Shirts are a go...should be sent out the end of next week.

I think that packing is one thing but I think during the weekend we can think about the cruise during the week we all try to escape from Work by using the boards to heighten our excitement.

Josh - I saw this posted on another thread and thought you (and our other DDC's) might be interested......
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Atlantis resort is running a "November Promo Rate" that is extended into December where a room in the Beach Towers is only $124 for one night! You can find this special on Travelocity or Expedia (and likely other similar sites) but I found that Expedia charges lower "fees and taxes." We got the room for a total of $163.44 for 2 adults and 2 kids under 10 (not sure if a certain age makes a difference or not...)

I don't think there were any excursions that the 4 of us could all go on for less than this rate, and now we will have access to all Atlantis has to offer while in Nassau!

Do you book this for Friday the 24th? I can't find that price on Expedia. Please tell me what I am missing.
Thanks

Thanks Randy.

I looked on both of those sites, and it looks like the cheaapest they have now for the 24th is around $400 for Atlantis and $275 for Comfort Suites (those prices include taxes and fees). The more I am looking at it, the more likely I am going to call from the boat and try to get a day room. If it works, great, if not, we will be happy just visiting and enjoying the boat for the rest of the day.

Oh...and can you say 16 days!!!!!

"DDC Tips of the Day"

Packing tip-
Bring a highlighter marker so you can highlight things that interest you in you navigator so you don't miss anything.

Castaway Cay tip-
If you see something you like in the She Sells gift shop early in the day Buy it!
They often run out of size on shirts. Many people wait until they are on their way back to the ship. The shop is busy then and you might not find what you are looking for. Also buy you postcard there if you want to mail them from the Castaway Cay post office. They only sell stamps at the post office.

Just looking for advice...we have not booked transportation to the Radisson from the airport on Tuesday and then back to the airport after the cruise. Can anyone make any suggestions?? We are taking the complimentary shuttle to the port the morning of the cruise and I really dont think we will need a car for anything. Are car services our only option?? There will be 4 of us with luggage.

Hi Shelley - my brother has to do the same thing as you. He decided on Budget Rent a Car as the most cost effective way to get to and from the port. The Disney bus will cost $40.00 PP each way :sad2:

Hi Shelley,

As Randy mention - we too are renting a car from Budget. We are staying at the Hyatt at MCO(got a great rate on Hotwire for $71.00) We will rent a car from Budget one way Wed. morning drive over to the port - my husband will drop us and the luggage off. He will return the car to Budget and take their shuttle to the Port. It is about $40.00 for a one way - one day rental. Budget is the nearest to the port.
Did you make your reservation on the Radisson shuttle yet?

Randy-
I am not sure from your post - are you going to the Atlantis or is the person who got that rate another Dis'er?
Thanks,
Carol

It doesn't seem to be available over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I have the Dolphin excursion booked so I will probably stick with that. That price was so good for the Atlantis it had me think!
Still working on the getting the stateroom switched.
