So, if I just filled out the online forms today, am I okay? I'll bring the contract to the cruise terminal-Will I get my luggage tags then?

As Carol stated, you will be receiving a full set of cruise documents in the mail (or UPS/Fed Ex) which will include the luggage tags, full DCL contract, Bahamas Immigration forms, etc. If you filled out all the forms on-line, there is one page that you should print (from the DCL On-line web site), sign and take with you to the terminal. It's the Online Check I Signature Form. Take everything (including the full DCL Contract) with you and the Check-in CM will take what he/she needs.

If you are short on time - I would be happy to pick up the mat and sticker if you are interested.

Carol that would be awesome.

We are going crazy getting ready to leave and don't think we will have time to get the board. DOn't worry about the sticker, we will pick something up in Downtown Dis at the scrap booking store.

Just let me know the amount and we'll take care of it when we get to the boat.

Will get the mat for you this week. Happy to do it. Don't worry about the amount.
Want to wish you the best for a wonderful wedding. :cheer2:

Pretty quiet in here the last few days. I guess everyone is realizing we are leaving so soon so we have to get everything at our homes situated...work, pets, etc....as well as final wedding plans. Man..did you guys ever think it would finally get here? I know I had certain important dates to pass...election day, end of soccer for my boys, my wife's birthday (today), and finally driving a field trip for one of my boys (and yes I am going to name drop because I am so excited) with Faith Hill and Tim Mcgraw. Once that field trip is over, it will be time to pack. Anyone have those countdown events they had to get through?

Anyway...excited to go, and let's get to 600 posts!!!!

My kids have no school today for Veteran’s Day. I have to go to NYC next so once I am done with that I know we will soon be cruising.
Have fun on your field trip. Say hi to Tim and Faith for me!

and a big DDC
:bday:
to your wife

...on our way to 600 post.

Happy birthday Mrs. JoRy !!! A nice gift indeed to go on a Disney Cruise.

The critical date for me is when my Brother's family arrives (next week). As you all know (I think you know), his daughters don't know about the cruise. They think they're visiting Uncle Randy for a vacation. We'll see if that secret can be held or if someone lets something slip. No problem until they get down here, then it will be interesting.

We should easily make 600 posts, right?

Brandon - don't you dare leave without giving us some warning and like Josh said, we expect to get at least 1 trip report from you while at Punta Cana!!!

Well I am still here and I have been very busy...getting ready to go. I wil ltry my best to post a report or two...if the internet situation is good there. Question...how is the wirless or wired internet on the boat, is it fast, can you up load pictures...etc?

The wirless is ok but can be very slow at times. I took my laptop once and I won't be taking it again until they improve the system. There are only a few locations on the ship that you can use wireless and DCL does not offer an unlimited plan like they do for the hard wired computers (on deck 3). The hard wired computers wook well and are fairly fast. They offer a unlimited plan for those wanting to use the internet frequently. I never tried to upload pictures using the hard wired computers so I can't help you with that.

I am trying to get excited for this trip but I have so much going on with the kid's school, PTA, sports etc...that it has been hard to focus on vacation (but boy, do I need one bad!!). The weekend before we leave I am actually going away with "the girls" so when I get back I will have basically one day to pack!! Yikes!!
I bought my kids pirate costumes at Halloween so they will be getting dressed up. As for dh and I, probably just an eyepatch and a bandana and that will probably do it.

Oh, my docs are in too..I have to pick them up tomorrow from the TA :cool1:

Hi Brandon - I was reading on another thread that there is no way to upload pictures using DCL's computers. If you want to do that, you'll need to take your laptop. Looking at the posts, many people bring theirs and find the service accptable. Maybe it just my laptop.

I will be taking my laptop I just wanted to check and see how much time I will need to spend working on it based on the speed.

YES THEY R...

We actually leave on Tuesday night for the airport so after Tuesday...depending on the internet access at the resort I may not talk to you guys until we get to the ship.

Can you please recap the part location and time just so I can make sure that I have it right.

Thanks again

QUESTION!!!

Dinner dress: What do the majority wear?

1) Casual pants with a polo shirt
2) Dress pants with dress shirt
3) Jacket and pants (obviously with shirt)
4) Are sandles OK for dinner if they are nice (not flip flops)

I would have to say (for the non Palo dinners), most folks do #1 although some dress up more just because they like too. I would say sandals should not be worn to dinners.
ALSO, REMEMBER.....
Thursday night is Thanksgiving dinner. I would expect folks dress nicer that usual for that dinner.

My husband usually wears casual pants with a polo shirt. That is what I am packing for the boys. Last cruise my husband forgot his dress shoes and wore his sneakers to dinner! I don't think it looked to good but we couldn't go shoe shopping before we boarded.(that is when he realized he forgot them) People wear all different things. The lady at the table behind us wore a "Big Dog" t-shirt most nights to dinner.

It seems like we haven't heard for some of our Thanksgiving Dis cruiser's lately. Wonder if people are too busy to post.
I will be there for the meet.

Hi Everyone!

I've been busy trying to pull together all of the stuff we need for the trip. I will probably start ironing later (weird - I don't iron on an everyday basis, but when we go to Disney, everything has to be freshly pressed!).

For dinner attire, my husband usually wears khaki pants and a polo. Shirt and tie for Palo. What are your thoughts for Pirate Night? My DH has a pirate shirt to wear, but wouldn't look right with dressy pants. Do you think shorts are OK for Pirate Night? I'm not trying to start a debate on dress code, just looking for an opinion! :)

I need to pick up our docs at AAA tomorrow. We leave next Monday for 2 nights at WDW before the cruise. It's so close!!!!!
