We are coming for a stay in October. My daughter works at Disneyland and we will be using her main entrance pass for our entry to the WDW parks. We will be staying at AKL while there. We do plan to purchase lightning lane multipass. I am trying to understand this process since it is definitely different from what we do at DLR.
1. Since we are staying at AKL, we can book some rides 7 days in advance, correct? Does this work with main entrance passes? Anyone know?
2. How early can you can purchase and book lightning lane single passes for rides like Tron, Guardians ride and so forth?
3. When you are park hopping, do you have wait until you are in the second park to book rides in that second park? Or can you book those in advance.

Thanks for any help on this. I want to make sure we have all our ducks in a row and don't miss important opportunities.

I don't really know.

At the same 7 day before resort arrival for your stay at AKL. You are able to book up to 2 LLSP per day, and they don't need to be at the same park.

3. When you are park hopping, do you have wait until you are in the second park to book rides in that second park? Or can you book those in advance.
No. If you are planning to Park hop. As soon as you tap into your first park, and tap into your first attraction. Then you can book replacement / alternate LLMP attractions at any of the 4 parks.

Does this make sense?

I am not a cast member and have never used a cast member's guest pass, but your question got me curious and I decided to see if I could look up the answer. This Facebook thread (see screenshot) seems to have the answer to your first question: https://www.facebook.com/groups/190398039081345/posts/1235563597898112/ . I also saw a Reddit thread that said much the same thing. No, you cannot buy/book lightning lanes seven days in advance. Your daughter must do the buying for her guests and cannot do it until three days before the day(s) of your park visit(s). Question 2: LLSPs can be bought by your daughter for you at the same time she can buy LLMPs for you. Question 3: For LLMPs, you have to actually tap in to an LLMP reservation at the park you (your daughter in this case) have bought LLMP for in order to make reservations in any other park. Once you have tapped in to one, the park and tier restrictions go away.

Perhaps the information I found is outdated or wrong and someone else will give you the answer you are hoping for. But I thought I had better pass on what I had found in case no one else answered you and you went on with a mistaken Idea of how it would work.
