The pictures of Arminda and that darling Jacob together are so incredibly PRECIOUS! That girl has got the BUG let me tell you!!! She is in LOOOOOVE with that boy! What a darling pair!!!

Steph said I could come visit her and she'd let me stay in Scrappy's bed with him b/c THAT is the bed of honor.

Now I don't know if Scrappy sleeps with Steph and her hubby or not...but if that is the case, then it's gonna be one fun slumber party!!!

:cool1: ;) :lmao:

Isn't the Wilderness Lodge FABULOUS?! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!!!

Oh, I do have a question too...why didn't y'all just take the boat to MK? It is a much more expedient way to get to the Magic Kingdom than waiting for that dadblasted bus! :thumbsup2

fun installment!!!! What gorgeous children the Disboutique crew have!!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

1) Isn't she just the cutest! Jacob was pretty smitten with her as well, but he did like Tessa a lot too. At first I think he was jealous of all the attention Megan was getting from Lydia and Tessa but Arminda more than made up for it.

2) If you think Scrappy sleeps in a mere dog bed you are crazy! :snooty: His dog bed is for naps while I am sewing or on the computer. For a good night's rest, he will sleep with us in the master bedroom, with Jacob in his bed or with any visitor in the guest bedroom. He is not picky!

3) There's a boat? :confused3

Oh, Miss Cammie! That comment threw me into a fit of hysterics. Do we have a laughing so hard you're crying smiley?

THERE'S A BOAT?!?!!!

LOL, that's what I said when Tom asked me why we didn't take the boat. Apparently I should have known because we took the boat to Fort Wilderness to see the Hoop whatever Revue a couple of years ago. Like I can remember what I did last week. And we saw a sign to the buses. Where was the sign to the boat?

You see, no one really listens to me..... (everyone now, "awww, poor little Teresa!" )So, we waited for a bus and waited and waited and waited.... Me and David looked it up on the internet that morning, and thought it said there was a boat, but like I said, nobody else knew anything about it, so I just let it be. Silly me! I could have been a HERO!!:sad2:

Stephres was cool!

1) Sorry you felt like you couldn't speak up. That was my first time at WL so I didn't know anything (even if Tom thinks I should!). We had fun waiting and chatting (right?) though.

2) Hey, thanks! I thought everyone was cool too!

Awww, the kids are so cute, esp Jacob and Arminda. ;)

I'm SO relieved that David was not "lost forever." I was also happy to see that this issue was resolved here. I read Heather's TR first, and I was just left hanging....! :lmao:

Hey, I just had a brilliant idea!!! I think the Disboutiquers should sew these poor people some new clothes!!! Come on guys, what do you say!?!

Do I sense the next big give?????:rotfl:

Arminda and Jacob are so cute together!

What a fun day you all had!

So this morning I got up and decided to read a trip report or two. You and your sister just crack me up! :lmao: As I posted in her TR, instead of doing :laundy: today, I read her TR. I got so engrossed that I got up to speed in no time...well, several hours. So, did I get up and walk away and prepare my Power Point presentation for work tomorrow? Nope, I started to read your TR instead! :goodvibes . Around 6 DH asked what we were having for dinner tonight. I said, pizza sounds good...reading this TR and I'm not done yet. :woohoo: So, I just got up to speed on both of your TR's and I am anxiously awaing more!!!

Seriously, it seems like you have a wonderful family and had a fabulous time on vacation. :grouphug: I have enjoyed ever minute of both TR's so far. :thumbsup2
Thank you for also leaving a comment on my TR! Nice people do things like that!

(hint, hint everyone else)

Thank you!!!

I am so THRILLED that you read our trip reports today!!!! That is just so cool! And, the fact that you liked them makes me extra happy!!! I'm working on my next installment, I should have it done in the next few days. Reading comments like this helps to get me motivated!

Isn't it cool when someone happens upon our TRs and actually likes them!?

::yes:: :sail:

Hasn't ANYONE been reading my trip report?!

yep girlies there IS a boat to Magic Kingdom from The Wilderness Lodge!:cool1: It is one of the major perks of staying at the Lodge. It takes about 10-ish minutes give or take. It's a lovely little sail right straight to the gates. We never took the bus to MK once! The boat dock is out the back of the resort, behind the pool!!

next time y'all go, y'all will have to give it a try!! Tell em MissCammie sent you!!:thumbsup2

I didn't even connect the fact that you stayed at Wilderness Lodge with the fact that we were in the Wilderness Lodge until later in the day!! I've never been accused of being quick.

When I went to UT, we used to make fun of all of the "Michiganders" for showing us where they lived on their hands. :rotfl2: I remember once we sent out a "you might be from Michigan if" list.....and one of the things was "you know how to spell and properly pronounce MACKINAC" :rotfl2:
Oh, you know you're just jealous :snooty:

Awww, the kids are so cute, esp Jacob and Arminda. ;)

I'm SO relieved that David was not "lost forever." I was also happy to see that this issue was resolved here. I read Heather's TR first, and I was just left hanging....! :lmao:

Hey, to be fair, Teresa and I said we were going to write up until the end of "Steph day". I didn't find out until the next morning (and neither did Teresa, the cheater) what happened to David. So, that will be in my next installment.

THE BOAT- Teresa's leader anxiety causes her to mumble things under her breath and think we all heard her and are just ignoring her. We wouldn't ignore my dear, sweet, sister!

Or, she'll say it and make it sound incredibly unappealing. This way, if we do it and it stinks, we won't blame her. Like "I think I might have heard that there is possibly a boat somewhere. But, I don't know where, and I don't know for sure, I don't know if it's here, and I don't know how long it takes."

How do I know these things? Because I am much like my sister!

But, I never heard her mention a boat. I would have investigated that one!

Okay, I bit the bullet and joined the board! I'm telling you my DH thinks I am a loon!!! I'm so looking forward to the giselle dress! Woohoo!

OMG! I just reread some of your entries and picked up on something I must have missed before...YOU HAVE NEVER EATEN AT SONIC!!! WHAT!!! I eat a chicken wacky pac almost every single day!!! It is like 10 or 11 ww points so I can eat it sort of guilt free!

MMMhhmmm, let me remind you of a story about me paying for gas at a gas station........

And, I'll also share with everyone a little story about "mumbling" When I was in second grade, I had a teacher, Mrs. Zimmerman by name. She had our reading group sit at a table and go over out worksheet. The worksheet was a list of words, and you had to match them up with their definitions. Well, she told me to tell the word to one of the definitions. Wich of course, was WAY too much pressure for extremely shy me! I softly told her what I thought the word was. She said I was wrong and made me keep trying until I got it right. She finally just yelled at me "IT'S WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW!!!!! YOU ARE MUMBLING!! It's MUMBLING!" If you are out there you lousy mean STUPID CRUEL dumb idiot of a teacher, you should be ashamed of yourself! And, aren't you glad I was MUMBLING NOW!!?!?? And, if you know her, tell her I said so.

Umm, yeah, I still sorta have issues with it even now!!! It makes me furious to remember my poor little shy self being belittled by her!

It sort of feels good to finally let that out after all these 32 years!!!!! :rotfl2:

Hey, I just had a brilliant idea!!! I think the Disboutiquers should sew these poor people some new clothes!!! Come on guys, what do you say!?!

Do I sense the next big give?????:rotfl:

Arminda and Jacob are so cute together!

What a fun day you all had!

Yes, it was lots of fun!!!

I couldn't leave you all hanging like that! Although, if I had to be "lost forever" Disney would be the place to do it!

2) Hey, thanks! I thought everyone was cool too!
Now, if we had just found the boat, this whole installment woudln't have been nearly as interesting!!! And, Lydia would have had to go to the bathroom while we were ON the boat, and that would NOT have been a good thing!!! Plus, like you said, we had fun just talking and playing around! It all worked out just fine! :thumbsup2

And, WHY weren't there any signs to the boat???? At least where WE could see them!

Okay, I bit the bullet and joined the board! I'm telling you my DH thinks I am a loon!!! I'm so looking forward to the giselle dress! Woohoo!

YEAH!!!! Glad to have you aboard!!!!!! I hope you post pictures when you get the dress!!!

I KNOW! Shocking, isn't it!!! A chicken wacky pac? I'll have to try that next year!

Just caught up in reading your TR. I'm at work and you know it is much to early to go to sleep!
* How fun to see tink up close. I always miss the tinkerbell part of the fireworks! I'll have to look for a good viewing spot next time we go.
* The ghost picture is very freaky!!
* Isn't it fun to lounge around and just soak it all in while thousands of people are rushing to the exits! We usually see no need to rush just to wait with a bunch of crabby tired people!
* The kids looked so cute with their new friends!!
* The people mover is a fun ride!! We just went on it for the first time this past trip because the other people we had gone with on previous trips told us it was lame! :snooty: What do they know anyway!!
* It looks like so much fun to be at WDW with your whole family even though it is a hassle sometimes. My mom has never been to a disney park!! And I want to take her with my sister and I and the kids someday (before they get to big) The boys can tag along if they behave ;)
* So glad David & family weren't "lost forever"! Was there a fainting couch to flop on to when they said that? :lmao:

I better go catch up on Heathers TR too! Here I come Heather....

We were all planning on going to Animal Kingdom in the morning, so I got up, and Mom was already awake, drinking her coffee. I asked her if she was still feeling up to going to Animal Kingdom and she said she was. I was really looking forward to going to Animal Kingdom with her, because it is her very favorite park, and I had made Lydia a very cool Wild Minnie outfit to wear. I wanted Mom to see her in it at the park. She said that she would probably meet up with us around 10:00 (or maybe it was 11:00) because she was going to let everyone sleep until about 9:00.

So, I got my family ready, and Mom bid us good-bye and said she'd see us a little later. Heather and Henry were all set, so we headed out.

We took some pictures as a group at the entrance.
image429.jpg

Lydia is not looking happy, but I don't remember what the problem was.
image430.jpg

We spotted Chip and Dale and headed over there lickity split!! Heather had made Tessa an adorable Chip and Dale skirt with a Clarice appliqued shirt. She also made Sawyer a Chip appliqued shirt. So, these were an absolute MUST SEE!

I asked Chip and Dale which one was Clarice's boyfriend, they indicated that they BOTH were! Shocking!

We got some really cute picturse with them!
DSC08513.JPG

DSC08514.JPG

DSC08516.JPG

The handler and Chip and Dale were VERY excited about Tessa and Sawyer's outfits!

Brian and Henry spotted Pocahontas, and kindly suggested that the children would love to get a picture taken with her! They even graciously volunteered to take the kids over there all by themselves! But, we figured we would see her later, so we decided to head on inside the park. For some reason both guys seemed very disapointed about that, and brought it up several times throughout the day.

Then we went on inside the park! We soon spotted Tigger and Eeyore!

Eeyore is my very favorite character, and somehow, I've never gotten my picture taken with him, so I was very excited!
While we were waiting for Eeyore, Henry took Sawyer to get his picture taken with Tigger

I think it was really cute the way Tigger was interacting with him! And, look at the big grin on the "Disney hater's" face!

image433.jpg

image434.jpg

image435.jpg

image436.jpg

image437.jpg

image438.jpg

While Henry was getting pictures with Tigger, my Mom called Heather on her cell phone and told her they weren't going to be coming to the park. I was really disapointed about that. I had been looking forward to being with Mom today. And, I wanted to spend some more time with David and Barbara and the girls before they went home. I thought it was odd that just before we left the house, Mom had told me she was DEFINITELY going. But, it turns out that it was probably for the best that David, Barbara and the girls didn't come.

I was bummed, but at least I was going to get my picture with Eeyore!

image394.jpg

I love this pictures of Lydia hugging Eeyore!

image396.jpg

Just the girls

image398.jpg

Then we all jumped in for a picture. Henry and Sawyer had just finished pictures with Tigger, so Heather waved them on over so they would be in the shot too.

Then, I kicked everyone out and got my picture taken with Eeyore!!!!!! FINALLY!
image401.jpg

Then, we got in line to meet Tigger.

Tigger is Brian's favorite, so he was very excited, although he's had his picture taken with him many times.

image443.jpg

image444.jpg

image445.jpg

My Mom had told us that there was a special character meet and greet near the water, so we were sort of looking for that. We were excited when we spotted it! It was almost time to open. We were the first family in line.
DSCF3096.JPG

DSCF3095.JPG

Sawyer looked so cute, I tried to take a few pictures of him.

DSCF3097.JPG

But, he thought it was really funny to keep hiding his face!!!!

I asked him what was on his shirt to distract him for a second!
DSCF3099.JPG

And then, more face hiding!
DSCF3100.JPG

Ok, Aunt Teresa thought it was pretty funny too, I must admit!!!!

When we had gotten into line, we asked Henry to get some Fast Passes for Expedition Everest. He wasn't sure exactly where it was so, Corey volunteered to go with them. Corey just told me that Henry had said to him after they got the FastPasses, that they should try scallping them!!! Funny man, funny man!

Then, it was time to go see some characters!!!!
DSCF3102.JPG

Lydia was VERY excited!!!!!

When we reached the characters, we saw, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. The kids didn't seem to care at all that we had already seen most of them!

First up was Pooh!!!
When Heather was a little girl, she had a cute little stuffed Pooh that my parents got her. She lot him one day at a religious convention. She cried and cried and cried like her little heart was going to burst!
Not that that really relates to this Trip Report, but it just popped into my head, so I thought I'd share!

DSCF3105.JPG

DSCF3106.JPG

DSCF3107.JPG

DSC08529.JPG

image405.jpg

There weren't many people at the characters, so we really got to spend quite a bit of time with them! It was really fun!

I don't recall ever getting a picture with Piglet before either, so this was cool!
DSCF3110.JPG

image423.jpg

Poor Lydia is half hidden in these pictures!

Then, oh joy of joys!!!! It was Eeyore again!!!!!
image408.jpg

image414.jpg

These two pictures of Lydia leaning into Eeyore are so adorable!!!
image418.jpg

image419.jpg

We got some pictures with Tigger
DSCF3111.JPG

image425.jpg

And, then the magic happened!!!!

Tigger started doing a little jig!!!!
He gestured for the girls to join in, and soon they were all getting jiggy with Tigger and laughing up a storm!!! It was definitely "a moment"!

image427.jpg

DSCF3116.JPG

DSCF3115.JPG

I think Heather might have gotten some video of it. I hope so, because it was just so cute! Just one of thos spontanious magical momments that you just can't plan for!

I was feeling much better now about not having the rest of the family with us, because Heather and I (and 5 kids and 2 Pochontas-deprived husbands) were having a special day together!

We met back up with Henry and Corey and went over to Dinoland for awhile. I really think this is the oddest part of the entire park! I don't care for the big carnival section they have here!

We had decided that we would ride the flying dinosar ride (yet another Dumbo substitute!). There is rarely a very long line for this when we go, but for some reason, I have never road it before. Brian usually takes the girls while Corey and I go on Primeval Whirl. But, this time I was a ridin'!!! Woo hooo!!!

But, before we got to the Flying Dinos, we spotted these guys and stopped to watch them for a moment
DSC08534.JPG

Then onto Flying Dinos!!!

Don't I look excited to be riding with Lydia!
DSC08535.JPG

Tessa and Arminda got to ride together
DSC08536.JPG

Hey! Where's Arminda!!??!!!

Oh, there she is!
DSC08537.JPG

HEY, there's Brian and Corey!
DSC08538.JPG

Hi Brian!! Wave for the camera!
DSC08539.JPG

Ok, how did this happen? Brian's in front now, and he has Lydia in the dinosaur with him!!! Weird...
DSC08558.JPG

Oh, they must have gone on the Flying Dinos again while Arminda, Corey and I went on Primeval Whirl!!!

Arminda has been anticipating this for years!!!!

And, she was FINALLY tall enough!!!!

I was on the ride while these pictures were taken, but they are so cute, I'm including them in my TR!

Sawyer with Lyddy

Tessa hugging Uncle Brian
DSC08562.JPG

Isn't that the cutest thing!
DSC08563.JPG

Corey, Arminda and I had fun on the rollercoaster, but it isn't one of our favorites. I think Arminda liked it best. Oddly enough, I, who get dizzy just WATCHING things spin, never get dizzy on this ride! Go figure! Corey and I always laugh at the warning when you get off the ride
"Please stand before exiting vehicle"

How many times did people fall on their behinds before they decided they needed a warning like that?

Arminda ran down the ramp to tell the rest of the family all about it!
DSC08569.JPG

Heather then decided she wanted to ride on Dinosaur, so she took Corey, Arminda, and Tessa with her. I don't like the ride, it's too dark, and jerky, and quite frankly, it freaks me out a bit!

Lydia had made a list before we left home of the things she wanted to make sure she did. One of them was to go to the boneyard to dig for dinosaur bones. So, Brian and I took her over there.

Lydia was really enjoying herself! She kept saying that this was on her list!

DSCF3121.JPG

DSCF3123.JPG

I was thirsty, so I asked Brian if he wanted me to get him any ice water. He said he was fine. So, I took off in search of some water. As I was walking out of the dinosaur dig, I heard a distinctive little giggle that could only be made by my little Sawyer! He and Henry were at the top of the slide, and Sawyer was about to go down. I asked Henry if he wanted a drink and he said he did.

So, I was off on an icewater hunt!

I spotted a little cart that had fountain drinks, so I went up to it to ask about getting some water. The lady and little girl ahead of me had the same idea, becasue they were also asking for ice water. The CM running the stand told the lady that they didn't have any water. I asked if she could give us some ice and we could fill it up at the fountain. The CM sighed heavily as if it was the most difficult thing she had been asked to do all day. And, then very slowly filled up several cups of ice for us. She did hand us straws, and I was suprised to see that they were PAPER straws!!! We use to have paper straws all the time when I was a kid, but I hadn't seem them in years. I wondered if they made them different now, because I remember when I was a kid, they would start to get soggy and come apart after awhile. Well, just in case you don't know, they don't make them any different now! They still get soggy and fall apart, but it did take awhile. And, at Animal Kingdom, they don't give you lids for your cold drinks. However, they DO put lids on their coffee.

When I went to take the drinks back to Henry, the CM at the Dinoland playground told me I could not take the drinks inside without a lid. I told her that it was just water, but she insisted. I guess rules are rules, although it seemed a little silly to me, since there was a small area where the kids could wet inside the playground. So, I went to put the cups in the strollers when I noticed one of the water bottles Henry and Heather had been drinking out of. The water was warm, so I dumped it out onto some plants and filled up the bottle with the nice cold water. I took another couple sips out of my cup, and went back inside. The bottle was acceptable to the CM and she nodded me on through. I quickly found Henry and Sawyer and gave him his drink. He thanked me, and never realized what an ordeal I had went through to get it!

I went back to find Brian and Lydia. They were still digging up dinosaur bones. Brian had given Lydia his hat to wear, and she looked very cute in it!

DSCF3125.JPG

I love this picture, because Lydia still has a babylook about her in it! I don't get to see that very often anymore!

DSCF3127.JPG

DSCF3128.JPG

Hi Mom!

DSCF3132.JPG

I dug up ALL this!

We decided to go play in the rest of the playground for awhile, and Brian went to take a potty break. (I KNOW you really wanted to know that, right!?!)

Lydia decided to ride a dinosaur!
DSCF3133.JPG

Then, she found Sawyer and they played together for quite awhile, going up and down the slide.
DSCF3135.JPG

Henry and I chatted for a bit. (Yes, Heather, Henry actually SPOKE!)

When Heather and the kids were done, they came over to find us, and all the kids played for awhile.

Arminda spotted Sawyer as he was coming down the slide
DSC08571.JPG

DSC08572.JPG

It was time for our Fastpasses to Expedition Everest, so we headed over there.

I was a little worried about Heather going on this ride, due to her blood clotting disorder. I told her that I didn't think it went really really fast, but I wasn't sure she should ride it. She decided she was going to go for it, and I thought she would be fine.

When we got on the ride, I was behind Heather. After the first hill, I realized that I had been wrong! This ride DID go quite fast and was rather jerky! How could I have forgotten that!?? I was so worried about Heather! I yelled up to her "ARE YOU OK!?!!?!!!" I don't remember if she answered or not, I doubt it! I doubt she heard me!

When we got off the ride, I apologized to her for my misinformation! She said it was ok, that it hadn't been that bad. I believe she ended up with a headache though.

Here is the picture I took to help me remember the picture number.
DSCF3136.JPG

Not very clear, but notice how Heather has her arm over Tessa to hold her in!

I think I rode this twice, the next time I rode with Corey. The line must not have been very long.

After we finished Expedition Everest, we decided to get Fast Passes for Kali River Rapids, and then grab some lunch. I had been PMing a fellow Diser, Disney4me AKA: Chantell, before we left, and she and her family were suppose to be in the park today as well. She had given me her cell phone number, so we decided to call her. She didn't answer, so we left a message telling her she could meet us at the Pizzafari if she wanted.

Then, we headed over to the Flame Tree to eat.

No, just kidding again! We went to Pizzafari. We got a few pizzas, and a few drinks, with no lids..... drinks with no lids and 5 kids..... hmm, that sounds like a great idea....

We sat down to eat, and fairly quickly Arminda or maybe it was me....

spilled her entire pop all over the place. It was a bit of a mess to clean up.

Arminda was not happy, and I went up to get her another drink.

I brought it back, and we were all happily eating away, when,

Splash!!!

Arminda's drink got spilled again. I KNOW I didn't do it twice, so I think she did it herself this time.

So, I went back up to get her another drink!

Henry and Brian seemed to think this was pretty funny. Seems like Corey was laughing quite a bit too! :snooty: The guys decided that next time, we were going to smuggle lids into AK!

Ok, it was pretty silly, but it was fun! Like I said, this was turning out to be a really special day.

After eating, we took a little trip to the rest room. While we were in there, Chantell called back. Heather talked to her awhile, and then I talked to her. I was really excited! She sounded so nice and sweet! We decided to meet near Kali River Rapids and say hello and get a few pictures.

We looked around for them at Kali River Rapids, but didn't see them right away. Then, I think Corey said, "Is that them?" to which Heather said, "No, I don't think so." But, when they got closer, we clearly saw that it was in fact THEM!!! They all looked so DARLING!!! Chantell had made her girls some adorable dresses and some matching tie dye Mickey shirts for her and her neice. Her little boy had on some adorable Mickey shorts. They were one cute family!!! We said some introductions, and then snapped a few pictures.

DSCF3139.JPG

DSCF3140.JPG

We chatted for a little bit, and then said our good-byes. It was so much fun to meet another Diser!

The girls then discovered this little bike thing, and played on it for a bit
DSCF3144.JPG

DSCF3147.JPG

But, before the girls sat in it, Henry had leaned on the little front part, not realizing that there was a little girl on the bike part in the back! When he did that, it raised her up into the air! She looked a little worried! Her Grandpa quickly took her off, and rushed her away!

When we got on Kali River Rapids, we tried to figure out who we thought was going to get the wettest. Corey and I thought that the person who went backwards first would probalby get wettest. Brian was the one riding backwards. We were right!!! He got nice and sopped! The girls had put ponchhos on before we got on the ride, and Heather had put a poncho on her lap, so they stayed pretty dry. Thankfully, Heather wasn't wearing light colored pants this day, so she didn't fret too much!

When we got off the ride, we went to get our strollers and I spotted it!!!! The elusive Lime Green Mickey Head!!!! At first I saw one on a stroller, I told Heather
"A Diser is about!!!" We then saw a man wearing a baby in a front carrier and on the carrier was another lime green Mickey Head!!! Could we be so lucky to meet TWO Disers in ONE day???? We went up to him, and he told us that his wife was actually the Diser, and that she was on the ride with their son. We told him our usernames and he told us hers Lauren-n-Jeff. I was pretty sure I had seen her around the family boards before, so I committed the username to memory!!! We were disapointed we didn't actually get to meet her, but her baby sure was adorable!!! So, hey Lauren, if you are out there, HI!!!!!

It's exciting meeting Disers in the parks!!!

As we were walkind down the path, and spotted this

Well, that's a strange place to put a poll with vines growing on it!

It's Devine!
DSC08580.JPG

DSC08581.JPG

DSC08582.JPG

We had seen her last year, and she actually posed with the kids. Which, I guess she isn't really suppose to do!

We were headig over to the Safari ride, when we decided to stop and get some pictures with Baloo and King Louie. While we were waiting in line, a couple stopped Heather and asked where she had got Tessa and Sawyer's outfits. When she told them she made them, they were VERY impressed!

The line was rather long, and as we were waiting, Heather said, "Oh my goodness!!! Teresa! Is that little girl in her UNDERWEAR!?!?! She then pointed to a girl, who was not so little, and was INDEED in JUST her underwer! (with a shirt on top)!!! We were beyond shocked! I though the girl appeared to be around 8 years old, and she was walking about with nothing coveing her behind but a pair of pink Barbie underwear! I got the feeling that the people she was with were not her parents. I had to wonder if they weren't, what her parents would say if they knew there daughter was prancing about Animal Kingdom pantless!!!! Shocking, really shocking!

When it was our turn with Louie and Baloo, the Photopass photographer started having trouble with his camera, so we didn't get any Photopass pictures taken, which disapointed me.
As Heather and I were taking pictures of the kids with the characters, two ladies came up and asked Heather if we minded if they took a few. They wanted pictures of the characters, but didn't want to wait in the line. Heather told them she didn't mind, as long as they didn't try to get in the pictures, since there was a line, and that wouldn't be fair. The ladies agreed.

We continued snapping pictures of our family.

The CM told Heather how much she loved Tessa and Sawyer's outfits.

So far, no one had mentioned Lydia's dress, and I was really starting to feel rather down about that! It was one of my favorite outfits that I had made, and I was hoping it would get a litlte more reaction than it was! At least Heather's hard work was being noticed, so that made me happy.

And, then I noticed that these ladies were standing near enough to the characters so that they could take pictures with them!!!! Which sort of made it difficult for US to take pictures of our family without getting THEM into it!!! We thought that was SUCH a rude thing to do! Especially after Heather had told them NOT to do it! I'm not sure why these ladies thought they were better than the rest of the people at the park that day, and didn't need to wait in lines!

So, that gave us quite a few things to talk about as we went on over to the safari. We grabbed some Fastpasses, and then tried to decide what to do until it was time to ride. It was almost 3:00, and we were excited to see they were roping off for the parade. We were suprised that more people weren't lined up for the 3:00 parade so close to parade time. So, we stood there a bit. One of us then decided to check the parade times, and that's when we saw that at Animal Kingdom, the 3:00 parade starts at 4:00. So, we gave up our choice spots and decided to get some ice cream. Of course, Arminda got hers free, due to the magic button.... I got my favorite, an ice cream sandwich! Yummy!!! Actually, my favorite use to be a chocolate ice cream bar covered in caramel and dipped in milk chocolate, but Disney got really mean and decided to discontinue my very favorite ice cream bar! :snooty: But, the ice cream sandwich came in a close second.

As we waited, we watched some guys putting on a tumbling show. I'm sure there is a name for them, but I don't remember what it is. They always seem to be performing over there though. They were dancing, and jumping and tumbling and just putting on a good old show! Corey taped it. So, we stood and sat there and watched it while we ate our ice cream.

The CMs had set up some little games along the parade route, to keep the kids entertained while they waited. So, our kids amused themselves playing hopscotch for awile. Sawyer was REALLY getting into it!!

Then, we decided to head to the gorilla trail.

I imagine Tessa is telling Arminda that it's not fair that she got free ice cream when it's not really her birthday....
DSCF3158.JPG

Arminda doesn't look too concerned....

DSC08591.JPG

The girls decided to ask the CM what this animal was
DSC08592.JPG

But, I don't remember!

Sawyer had been sleeping (hmm, mayb we didn't get the ice cream and watch the show yet, because I think he was sleeping when we got our pictures taken with the characters too... hmm... oh well, really it doesn't make a big difference!)but sat up and pointed to whatever that thing was!
DSC08594.JPG

And, he wanted out to get a better look!
DSC08596.JPG

The girls were really excited to see all the fish
DSC08600.JPG

and to go on a bird hunt!
DSC08601.JPG

They soon realized though, that there werne't many birds inside the aqarium, so they started looking in the trees.

DSC08604.JPG

(at least Sawyer thinks I'm funny!)

They found quite a few, but they thought they HAD to find them all!

This nice CM asked Arminda which ones she needed to find, and helpfully pointed out a few to her. Armind is animatedly telling her a story about something. I'm thinking she is telling her that her entire class is going to the UP and she didn't get to go, because her Mom and Dad made her come to Disney, but that's really ok, because she gets to be with her little Sawyer!!.... and probably some other things. She is a chatterbox...
DSCF3160.JPG

The CM then gave the kids little Magical Memory cards. It was pretty sweet, she made sure each child got one, and that she spelled their names correctly.

There was one bird that the girls were having lots of trouble finding, it had an odd name, but I don't remember it. We spent a lot of time looking for it, and then they spotted it!!! At least they thought they spotted it, and we were NOT going to correct them!

When we FINALLY left the birds, we stopped to watch the merecats for awhile.

Corey took some video
DSCF3163.JPG

Isn't the back of Lydia's dress cute! She loves animal prints, and kept picking out more and more and more prints for me to put on the dress. So, I decided to make ruffles in the back to accomodate them all. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. Although, I wouldn't have put that print on the sleeves, it is a little freaky! I was pushing for zebra sleeves, but Lydia insited on that. I'm not even sure what animal that is, actually.
DSCF3165.JPG

Don't the girls look adorable!

DSC08612.JPG

DSC08613.JPG

I was sort of hungry, so Sawyer graciously volunteered to share his crackers with me.

And then, his drink
DSC08609.JPG

Sawyer is such a cutie!

Heather was so kind to capture the moment on film for me!

When we went over to the gorillas, they were lounging around
DSC08615.JPG

the kids were fairly fascinated by them.

All along this trail, the CMs had commented on Tessa and Sawyer's outfits (making me very proud, and I always pointed out Heather and told them that she had made them if she wasn't standing near)

But, after several times of this happening and no one saying ANYTHING about Lydia's dress, I am ashamed to say, I snapped at a CM! After she said something about Tessa's outfit to me and how much she loved it, I said, "Whatever! You don't like hers?" Pointing to Lydia. (I'm not proud of this, but it happened, so I felt the need to confess!) She said, "Well, I DID say it had a leopard on it!"

I was really feeling a little depressed about the lack of attention she was getting! Silly, I know, because I loved her dress and she loved her dress, and it made us both happy that she was wearing it. I didn't make it to impress anyone besides Lydia. So, I had to keep reminding myself that!

Brian, of course, thought I had gone totally insane! He was standing behind me while this happened! He told me that HE had had MANY people tell him that they loved her dress. I explained to him that it was his duty to report these things to me PRONTO! He apologized and promised that he would do better in the future! MEN! Don't they get it?????

Then, it was time to go on a safari!!!!!

While we were waiting in line, Sawyer decided he really wanted Uncle Brian to hold him. Brian loved that. Heather wanted him back before we got on the ride though, so Brian had to give him back.

Soon, it was time to get into our jeeep
S6300357.JPG

We all settled in, and the rider announced that all kids should be sitting towards the inside of the jeep. He repeated it several time, and the ride began. And then, QUITE suddenly, it STOPPED!
It stopped so fast that Sawyer hit his head on the seat in front of him, and most everyone else went flying forward.
DSC08634.JPG

Our guide then said, "I stopped her so that this would be on film if you try to sue us later. PLEASE move the small child to the inside of the jeep. This is a bumpy ride!" The lady behind me was sure that he was talking to her, and had moved her little girl to the inside of the Jeep. Her little girl started to fuss a bit, and the mother was looking rather upset. She wasn't sure what to do. Then the guide said, "YOU all the way in the back! If you are comfortable letting such a tiny child ride on the outside then we will get going." He then muttered some things and shook his head. I was still not clear who he was talking to. I was really not happy with him for stopping so suddenly. After a bit, I did turn around

S6300360.JPG

and spotted a VERY little child, she looked like she might have been almost a year old, sitting to the outside of the jeep. I immediately realized why the guide had been so upset. But, stopping the way he did was really uncalled for, and he should have made it known right away who he was yelling at. I really couldn't believe though that the child's family refused to mover her.

After the guide calmed down a bit, we had a pleasant safari.
We saw some of these things

Looks like Arminda took some pictures

and some elephants

and, then we saw an odd looking flamingo!
DSCF3178.JPG

The girls thought it was pretty neat that we saw a guy out there feeding the flamingos!

I think Sawyer liked the giraffes
DSC08647.JPG

DSC08645.JPG

And, we saw a baby rhino (it's not too little though)
DSC08657.JPG

Then, the guide stopped again (but not too suddenly this time, thank goodness!) and asked us to all be very quiet! The lion was awake, and he was hoping he was going to roar. His mouth was open, but unfortunately, he didn't make a sound. It was very neat to see the lion and lioness awake and walking around though.

Heather and Henry and co. were ready to go, so they decided to head out of the park. However, we were NOW right in time for the tail end of the parade. Brian and I had talked abuot heading to Magic Kingdom, so we were going to head out soon too. We bid each other good-bye and Heather and Henry headed out after the parade.

We started on a path to the left of Africa (near where the drums are) and quickly noticed that the parade had not made it this far yet. Since this parade was on Lydia's list of things she wanted to do, we decided to wait and watch it.

While we were waiting in line for the parade, a lady from the family next to us came over and told me how much she LOVED Lydia's dress!!! I was just beaming, and Brian hugged me and whispered in my ear, "Feeling better now?" and gave me a kiss.

While we waited, several of the CMs came up and told me they loved Lydia's dress too!!! Apparently, people in parade's appreciate Wild Minnie! :snooty:

And now, some waiting for the parade to reach us pictures!

S6300407.JPG

So many of the characters and CMs in this parade told us how much they loved Lydia's dress! One of the CMs who was in the animal outfit came right up so he could get a closer look. He had Lydia turn around so he could see the whole thing! Lydia proudly told him that her Mommy made it for her! I was so proud!

Unfortunately MINNIE didn't look our way!
S6300408.JPG

The kids loved these lights!
S6300413.JPG

When the parade was over, we started heading out. I was so happy that Lydia's dress had finally gotten some attention! Plus, it was a fun parade! Brian was happy that I was happy. We were all feeling pretty good! We had spent a great day with Heather's family, and now we were getting a little bit of our own family time.

S6300419.JPG

Brian loves to look at the animals and plants on the way out, so we took our time
S6300421.JPG

S6300423.JPG

We decided to head towards Camp Minnie Mickey to see if any characters were there.

We were very happy and excited to see Lilo and Stitch!
There was only one family ahead of us, so it shouldn't take long. Well, it shouldn't have taken long!
However, the family ahead of us althought they only had 5 people in their party, decided to have pictures taken of every imaginable configuration of people possible. As you probably know, I dont' have a problem with characters taking their time with groups like this, but honestly, this was getting ridiculous!

While they were taking pictures, we noticed that Turk was right across the pathway. So, I told Brian to take the kids on over to get her autograph.
DSCF3201.JPG

I like the way the kids were keeping an eye on the other line too!
DSCF3202.JPG

DSCF3203.JPG

There was no one behind us at this point. Just as Brian and the kids were came back across the path to join me, a lady with two kids came up behind us. She asked, "Are you in line?" and I told her that I was. She then told her kids, "I hope we have time to get our picture taken with Stitch! We will have to hurry."

I wasn't sure what she meant when she said, she'd have to hurry, until it was FINALLY our turn (seriously, the family before us must have taken at least 10 minutes!) As we were stepping up, the lady behind me pushed her kids up to go ahead of us! We quickly stopped her, but I seriously don't konw what she was thinking! She KNEW we were ahead of her! I promised her that we wouldn't take as much time as the last family, and she backed off. But, it was really quite odd!

I was pretty happy to be meeting Lilo and Stitch! I think they are so cute!
Some autographs and a few Photopass pictures and we were out of there

Turk was still all alone across the pathway, and she was kicking the dirt like she was mad! It was pretty funny!
Corey wanted some pictures with Donald and his nephews
DSCF3209.JPG

On the way out of the park, we spotted a Disney Vacation Club stand. Brian and I were curious about this, and I'd heard you can sometimes get some nice incentives to tour, so we stopped! Brian was overjoyed at the thought of taking a timeshare tour (no matter how they try to spin it, it's still basically a timeshare tour!)
DSCF3211.JPG

We chatted with Cori, the DVC salesperson for quite a bit.
The kids played with these cut out things

Cori was actually quite pleasant and informative. By the time we were done talking to her, both Brian and I were excited about looking at the property! She set up a time for us, and told us we would each get a $25 gift card for coming by. Plus, we'd get ice cream. THAT got the kids attention! We got our appointment information and started heading out of the park again.

But, first we stopped for some pictures

S6300351.JPG

By the time we were out of the park, we decided we were tired and just headed on home. Brian said we needed something at the store, so we stopped at Publix and he ran in.

It was really quiet in the car, and when I turned around I discovered why!
DSCF3240.JPG

Everyone of them was fast asleep!!!!!

When we got back to the house, I saw Casey lying on the couch with a bucket next to her. NOT a good sign!
"I'm sick Aunt Teresa."
Poor baby, she looked pretty miserable!
Mom told me that they had gone to Downtown Disney, and Casey had not been looking good. I believe she then threw up there, so they came on home. After awhile, she was looking better, and actually went swimming for a little while. But, she quickly started looking quite ill again and layed back down. Which, is quite unCasey like! Mom told Barbara that if she wanted to go to Animal Kingdom or another park the next day, that she would stay with her. But, Barbara insisted that she wanted to stay with her. David and Courtney decided they would have a father daughter day at Animal Kingdom.

Casey was looking about as sick as any little kid I've ever seen. It was really pitiful. I felt her forehead, and I thought she felt warm, but when we took her temperature it was normal. We had her sleep on the lawn chair for the night, in case she got sick, we could hose it down! Plus, she seemed quite comfortable on it. I stayed up with her for awhile after everyone went to bed to make sure she would be ok. Then, I gave her a kiss, made sure her blanket was tucked in around her and went to bed. It was a good thing they hadn't went to the park that day after all!

Hey now that's not fair putting in an update just when I was going bed feeling accomplished that I was All caught up on Both TRs!! You know I have to read it now or I'll being lying there wondering what you had to say about AK!!

Ok I made it now I can sleep peacefully! Good Night!

I don't think I said this before
I am glad your Cat was found! And I have had that "cat came back" somng stuck in my head all day! It just pops in there at random times! Strange huh? :rotfl: yep I'm tired!

Another great report, Teresa! Love Lydia's animal kingdom dress, especially all the ruffles on the back...I am working on a dress with ruffles on the back for my dd, and hope it turns out just as cute as yours. I have never stayed long enough at Animal Kingdom to see the parade- that will be on our to-do list when we go next time.
