Right around this time, we spotted a guy standing around holding an adorable baby in a baby carrier that had a LIME GREEN MICKEY HEAD attached!!!
We didn't get a picture of his lime green mickey head diaper bag, but here is my lime green purse that I bought just for you all. Plus, my lime green mickey head that says "Do you Dis? HeatherSue"
Teresa and I went over to him and asked if he was a Diser. He looked a bit confused at first and then I saw a lightbulb go on. He said that his wife was the Diser and that she was on Kali River Rapids. We asked what her username was and he said it was Lauren-n-Jeff So, SHOUTOUT TO LAUREN-N-JEFF!!! Sorry we bugged your poor husband. I could see we made him uncomfortable. But, he was very nice anyway. I wish we could have met you, too!
It was lunchtime, so we went to Pizzafari. We knew there was a fellow disboutiquer in the park that day. Her name is Chantelle and her username is Disney 4 Me. We had been keeping our eyes peeled for her all day. We kept seeing people that "could" be her, but they didn't have the right kids when them. We had Chantelle's cell phone number, so we had called her to see if she wanted to meet us at Pizzafari. But, we just got her voice mail. We still looked for her while we were eating, just in case she decided to come in.
After several spilled drinks and a couple of trips up to get refills of said spilled drinks, we were ready to go.
Chantelle called as we were leaving Pizzafari and we made plans to meet her and her sister in front of Kali River Rapids (but they weren't riding).
Sawyer fell asleep in the stroller as we walked back to Kali River Rapids. So, he missed THIS!
Yes, it was DeVine! Oooh...it's a lady covered in leaves on stilts. Yes, I'm very hard to impress. She also just seems to be a little full of her leafy self.

However, Tessa was very impressed! She was even more impressed when we got back to our rental house that night and I informed her that DeVine lived there. The people we were renting it from had the last name of Devine. She thought that was AWESOME!
We got over to Kali River Rapids and Henry sat down on this cart thing. He didn't realize that the cart thing was hooked to a bike thing that a very little girl was sitting on, getting her picture taken. He almost catapulted the poor thing off into the atmosphere! I'm sure they got a pretty interesting shot!
After the Disney-hater stopped harassing small children, we stood around looking for Chantelle.
I told Henry that Chantelle had 2 adorable little girls with curly hair and an adorable little boy. Real desciptive, huh? After a little while, Henry said "Is that them?" I said "No, that's not her." But, then I realized that I had no idea what Chantelle looked like, I only knew what her kids looked like! So, I looked down and there were the adorable little curly haired girls I'd seen in her pictures and their adorable little brother!! It was her! She also had her sister and her nieces with her. They were such a cute group of people! I loved that Chantelle and her niece were wearing matching shirts.
We chatted with her a while. I hope I didn't say anything too stupid as my brain was fried, I was SO hot! I mentioned how hot it was and she said it was great! I'm glad someone was enjoying it! Teresa didn't seem to be terribly hot, either. But, everyone else in our group was looking a little runny. Anyway, her kids are even cuter in person than they are online. Just ADORABLE! She was a sweetheart and I'm so glad we got to meet her! We posed for a few pictures.
We chatted a bit more. I wish Sawyer would have been awake because I think he would have liked her little boy.
Then, we parted ways.
Teresa had packed some handy-dandy ponchos to wear on Kali River Rapids. They were the nice, thick ones, but they were for kids. I was going to use one just because I didn't want my undies getting wet. No, light colored pants for me this day, though!
As we were walking through the line, I started putting my poncho on. Oh MY GOSH! I thought I was going to die!
It was so heavy and opressive, I thought I was going to suffocate. I had a mini panic attack and took it off as fast as I could. Phew!
We were in a boat with a great family who was having as much fun as we were. We all took great pleasure when someone else got soaked. I think we all ended up pretty soaked by the time the ride was over. I was wishing I had gotten wetter.
About 10 minutes after the ride, we were all dry again.
We walked along in the steaming heat until we came upon a line. We hopped in it because we just LOOOVE lines!!

No, we assumed there would be a character at the end of it, and there was. It was Baloo and King Louie!! What a coincidence, Henry just so happened to be wearing a Jungle Book shirt!
As soon as we got in line, Louie and Baloo left! Teresa assured me that they usually only go away for 5 minutes or so. So, we held our spots.
Teresa's kids went across the walkway with Brian and started playing some drums. I looked over and my jaw dropped open in SHOCK! There was a girl over there who WASN'T WEARING ANY PANTS!!!
Seriously, she was standing there in a short t-shirt and her tighty whities! I first took her to be at least 11 years old since she was taller than Arminda. But, then I realized that since Arminda is vertically challenged, this girl could be more like 9. But, I couldn't BELIEVE her parents would let her walk around with no pants!!! Then, I realized that she wasn't with her parents, she was with a group of other kids and a couple of adults. So, her parents probably had no idea that their child was walking around Animal Kingdom with no pants on. I thought about taking a picture and discussed this with Teresa. But, we decided that would probably be in bad taste. So, you will just have to picture a semi-chunky, tall 8 or 9 year old (or short 11 year old), playing bongo drums in Animal Kingdom, with NO PANTS!
Henry had retreated to a cool spot with water misters all around. This is where he parked his butt until we were ready to move on. So, I'd be getting no pictures of Henry in his themed shirt with the characters it portrayed.
Tessa REALLY wanted to go play the drums. But, being the overprotective mom that I am, I made her stay with me. I thought Brian had his hands full with his own kids and I couldn't see her good enough over there with all the people walking by. I wish I would have just let her go over there because it was quite a wait for the characters to come back. I was starting to think they had ditched us. But, they returned about 15 mintues later, right when I was thinking that I wasn't going to wait anymore.
While we were waiting to get to the front of the line, a woman in line behind me pointed to Tessa's outfit and said "Where did you get that cute outfit?" I told her I made it and she seemed to be very impressed. She said she could sew a little, but didn't think she could attempt something like that. I encouraged her to give it a try since I had only been sewing for 10 months at that point. She asked if I sold clothes on ebay and I told her I didn't. She then told me that I should! That was the best compliment I got on our whole trip!
We finally got to the front of the line and Tessa was pretty excited that she'd get "the monkey"'s autograph. I had to break it to her that he couldn't sign his name (he has very long arms), but she could get a picture with him. She seemed okay with that.
By the time we made it to the front of the line, there was quite a line behind us. While our kids were getting their pictures taken, 2 women came up and said "We just want a picture, is that okay?" I told her that was fine with me as long as they didn't try to get in the picture. I pointed out the long line of people waiting to do that exact same thing and said they'd be cutting in front of all those people if they went up to the characters. She said "Okay", so I assumed she was just going to snap a picture of the characters. But NO! One of the women went and stood by Balloo and the other one took her picture! So, these women have a vacation photo with themselves and our cute kids with Baloo and King Louie. I was more than a little annoyed. I wish I would have gotten a picture of them so I could "out" the line cutters on the Disboards, but I didn't.
Lydia just couldn't stop hugging Baloo!
Next, we went over and got some fast passes for Kilimanjaro Safari. I hope I spelled that somewhat correctly! We went down Pangani Forest Exploration Trail while we waited for our FP time. Sawyer woke up just in time to see one of these things.
He was mighty impressed, bedhead (or, in this case, magical reclining stroller head) and all!
Tessa asked the CM that was standing there at least 5 times what kind of animal this was.
He didn't answer her until I chimed in and said "I'm sure he'll answer you honey. Ask him again." I'm not sure what he was doing there, if not telling people about the animals.
We continued down the trail and went in the building with frogs and such in it. Then, we came upon Lydia and Tessa's favorite part! They each got sheets with pictures of birds on it and were told to try and find ALL of them. They took this task VERY seriously. Here they are looking for birds in the water.
Found one!
Tessa was mostly concerned with finding the "hammercop" because her Daddy uses a hammer when he builds houses and he is a cop. If only it were a "painted hammercop", it would have been PERFECT! You know, because Henry paints cars, too. Tessa searched and searched and searched for that bird!
Sawyer was feeling the heat.
But, he was enjoying himself. Yes, he's drinking out of a pink sippy cup. What do you wanna make of it? Huh? Huh?
