Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination Disney HeatherSue's(best)version OVER1/27

Hey, just wanted to say howdy and that we had a great time at your house today! [Just had to throw that in to make all your Dis friends jealous. LOL ::yes:: ]
And I think we may have left some hotwheels, so if you find some, let me know. :thumbsup2

Now, as we have left, and your house is perfectly clean, you have no excuse not to update! :stir:

We headed on over to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique around 10:15 to see if the rest of the family was congregating there yet. I went in to check in for our appointment. I gave them Teresa's name and they told me our appointment wasn't until 11:20! We are sure that they gave us 10:30 and 10:40 appointment times, so I'm a little irked by this. The woman in front of me had the exact same problem.

I came out to tell Henry that our appointment wasn't for another 55 minutes and who did I see walking toward us??

MY MOMMY!!!!(and my brother)
IMG_0072_347x480.jpg

I was so relieved to see her! David was following close behind her. Phew! We'd reunited. They said Teresa and Co. were riding on Snow White. So, we went over there to wait for them to get off. As soon as we walked in front of the ride, a CM ran over to us, exclaimed over Tessa and Sawyer's costumes, and took us right to the front of the line! Then, Teresa came out of the ride!!! We were together again!! For a moment!
IMG_0059_640x426.jpg

The CM said we could only take up one car, so Teresa and family couldn't join us on the ride. We hopped in the little car. Tessa sat by Uncle David, which was a novel experience for her. She doesn't see him much and gets Uncle David and Uncle Brian mixed up. They look SOOO much alike, after all. Sawyer sat between Henry and I.

I knew it was a scary ride, so I talked all happy-like through the whole thing, pointed out the cute squirrels, laughed at the scary parts, and yelled at the witch that she didn't scare me. Yes, I was obnoxious! But, it worked! Sawyer didn't cry, he actually seemed to enjoy himself!

We got off the ride and had our family reunion again.

LOOK!! I'VE GONE MULTI-MEDIA!! Here is a fascinating video of us getting off of the Snow White ride, courtesy of Corey.

I just love this picture of the kids with their Grandma!
DSC07738_640x480-1.jpg

We weren't sure what to do next, but we headed over to Winnie the Pooh. It was a 20 minute wait, so I thought that would give us just enough time to ride it before our appointment at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. But, some of us weren't sure if we should wait 20 minutes to ride... "Should we ride it, shouldn't we ride it, I just don't know..."

On previous vacations, we have spent a great deal of time standing around trying to decide what we should do next. I wasn't going to do that on this vacation. So, I took the kids over to Pooh's Thoughtful Spot to play while everyone decided whether we should ride the ride.
IMG_0076_320x480.jpg

I soon discovered (after Teresa mentioned it) that this was probably not a great idea right before we went to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. They had fun for a few minutes, though!
IMG_0061_640x426.jpg

IMG_0067_640x426.jpg

Teresa said we could get in line to meet Tigger, Pooh, and Eeyore. The girls all got in line while Sawyer played a while. He was having a GREAT time!
IMG_0077_640x426.jpg

The line for Tigger and Co moved REEEEEAAAAALLY slow. It was starting to get pretty hot, there was no shade, and I don't "do" hot very well. So, I went and sat on a bench with Barbara and Tessa and waited.

It was about 10 minutes before our appointment and they were nowhere near the front of the line. So, they had to get out of line and head on over there. We'd see plenty of Pooh and friends on this vacation, so no worries! Henry stayed with Sawyer and let him play for a little while longer.

DSC07740_359x480.jpg

Now I should insert what a wonderful aunt my sister is! She payed for ALL of the girls to have their hair done at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique (hereby referred to as BBB)!! This place ain't cheap, and Teresa ain't rich. So, this was really a loving, wonderful, gesture on her part. She just wanted to see the girls all experience some extra magic. I'm so lucky to have her in my life. *sigh*

Sniffle, sniffle, wipe a tear... moving on...

We brought our big 'ol crew into the BBB and signed in for our appointments. The girls sat down as we waited. As they were sitting on the bench, we noticed a big 'ol wet spot. We're thinking some little princess couldn't wait to get on the throne- wink, wink, nudge, nudge. So, they all sat on the bench, avoiding the wet spot and alerted others to it's presence.

Here's one side of the wet spot:
IMG_0086_640x422.jpg

Here's the other:
IMG_0082_640x426.jpg

We told the women at the front desk about it and they said "Oh, okay." I watched the wet spot throughout our visit and nothing was ever done about it. People came through, sat on it, jumped up quickly, and moved on. But, no one ever cleaned it. I imagine by the time the 5th person sat in the wet spot, it was pretty much soaked up by the helpful cleaning pants of the people before them. I guess that's one way to clean it up, Disney! I gotta say, every upholstered surface in the place looked like it needed some cleaning.

They gave the girls brochures so they could pick out which hairdo they wanted.
DSC07745_640x480.jpg

Tessa chose the classic princess 'do because it came with a crown. Lydia and Arminda also chose this style, while Casey and Courtney chose the one that came with the fake hair (sorry I'm not up on my BBB lingo, so I don't remember the proper names). Teresa wanted to see each of her girls have their hair done, so Tessa, Lydia, Courtney, and Casey went first. Arminda would get her hair done next.

David decided he needed a hat so his head wouldn't get burnt in the hot Florida sun, so he took off to look for one.

Tessa was so excited to be there and she wanted to talk to her Fairy Godmother in Training (hereby referred to as FGIT)!
IMG_0079_369x480.jpg

Tessa sat down and started chattering away to Daisy (her FGIT). Daisy was not a friendly woman. Daisy acted like she would rather be ANYWHERE but where she was. She smiled, her only smile of day.
DSC07749_640x480.jpg

Then, she ignored Tessa's exhuberance and just got to work.
DSC07760_360x480.jpg

She slicked her hair and slicked her hair and slicked her hair some more.
DSC07767_360x480.jpg

Tessa kept right on talking. She told Daisy that she was wearing crocs, but that Cinderella didn't wear crocs, she wore glass slippers. This elicited Daisy's only reply to Tessa, which was "Fairy Godmother's can make glass crocs." Thanks Daisy!! :thumbsup2 Guess who wanted to look for glass crocs for the rest of the trip? Oops, I guess she smiled twice:
DSC07778_360x480.jpg

I tried engaging Daisy in conversation as well. I got her to tell me that she was pregnant and that she's going to name the baby Lydia. I thought that was pretty exciting, but she didn't seem to be all that excited. I understand that she may have been feeling icky, so maybe that was the reason for the attitude. Well, at least Tessa had fun with the hairspray shield:
DSC07770_360x480.jpg

She also liked the much friendlier woman who did her hair and makeup. Tessa picked blue and purple eyeshadow, exactly what I had hoped she wouldn't pick! Luckily, it wore off really quickly:

Finally, she was ready for the big reveal. This is not her reveal picture (it's on photopass and I don't have those pictures yet), but this is the same face she made. LOL!
DSC07805_331x480.jpg

She really was thrilled- really, she was!

The other girls had equally friendly FGITS. I didn't get a picture of Courtney, but here are Casey and Arminda:
SANY0237_344x480.jpg
SANY0232_357x480.jpg

Arminda's didn't smile, not once! It breaks my heart because Arminda looks so excited and is anticipating this fun experience and look at the expression on her FGITS face. Casey's smiled once, at the very end.

Lydia was the only one who had a really nice FGIT! She was wonderful and gentle and didn't stop smiling the whole time:
SANY0231_322x480.jpg

Now, I ask you, do these people REALLY think we are paying $40-ish for a sparkly ponytail and a crown??? We are paying for the magical experience and to have our girls feel like princesses! We were incredibly dissapointed by the whole experience. The girls looked pretty, but that wasn't what it was supposed to be about!

Casey was really happy. She tends to be more of a tomboy, but I think she enjoyed being fancy for the day. She chose the blonde hairpiece because she wanted to look like Hannah Montana AND Miley Cyrus. LOL! It was really special because she isn't usually very confident, but you could tell that she felt pretty. It was wonderful to see!
DSC07819_319x480.jpg

This is Sawyer's reaction to seeing the girls all dolled up:
DSC07816_332x480.jpg

I think he's impressed!

Tessa seems to think that she can't smile and show her teeth when she's wearing lipgloss. Here's the kind of smile we got while she was wearing it. But, you can see the excitement in her eyes!
IMG_0117_342x480.jpg

You might think this is funny, considering that she still looks really small. But, I was surprised at how grown up Courtney looked. She looked like she could be 10 years old (she's 14, but still...)! She was just basking in the glory of our compliments. She was positively glowing!
DSC07811_360x480.jpg

Here's the whole group of them. This is probably picture #105 or so. They were getting a little tired of pictures and we hadn't even made it to their photo shoot!
SANY0270_640x449.jpg

Around this time, David came in wearing his sensible new hat. It is so perfectly David, it made me laugh!
IMG_0149_640x426.jpg

Teresa settled the bill (I don't think any of us want to know how much it was :scared:) and we headed on out.

Arminda looked so sweet and happy and gorgeous!
IMG_0151_640x426.jpg

Up next: She is NOT wearing her pajamas!!

The girls all look so sweet! Sorry about the FGIT's, I agree it was about the experience but atleast the girls didn't seem bothered by it much!

Sawyer is one cutie pie! and I never got around to responding the other day, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sawyer!

Oh my gosh the girls all look adorable! And they all look so grown up!!
What a shame that the FGIT were such poops....As you say, you are paying for the experience more than the final "look".
I am just glad your whole family was there for them as that is what I am sure made all the difference to them! Awesome! And I agree, some auntie!!!

Oh wow....they all looked so adorable!! I love all the pictures from BBB. Sorry that they FGIT's weren't more excited but like you said, the girls had fun and looked beautiful in the end...(not that they didn't to start with...!) You know what I mean.

I love that picture of Sawyer checking the girls out...he is so stinkin' cute!

And wow, that sister of yours is a doll, isn't she. What a kind and generous gift to all the girls!!!! I love reading about your family!!!

Waiting anxiously for the next part!!!

awww sorry the fgit weren't very disneylike :( but they did do a great job on the girls - they all look so cute and purrty :)

What a lovely Aunt they have :cloud9:

Heather, it is so funny to see your take on these things! Because, if I didn't know better, I would think you peaked at my trip report before writing yours, because so many of the things you write are almost word for word what I have written! Although, one of mine won't be until my next insatllment! (Just to keep you all wondering!)

I was so happy to do this for the girls. It isn't often I get to do something special for them. I just wish they could have all had a good experience.

I was tryig to remember when David went to get the hat!

Ok, I need to get mine up soon, huh?

They did look pretty, didn't they! At least for about an hour or two, but that's another chapter.....

Okay, you had me laughing AND crying! You've been hanging out too much with that Miss Cammie :rotfl: Where do I begin? First of all, Luke is sleeping so I'll have to get his reaction to his lovely princess tomorrow. I LOVE the photos of Sawyer in Pooh's playground. That baby boy (yes he is still a baby) is soooo cute! The pictures of Tessa at BBB had me crying. She looks so sweet and excited and her FGIT...well...looks neither. Then that picture of Tessa's face looking sad about broke my heart. Then the yawning and hairspray ones made me laugh again, then the ones with Casey's and Arminda's FGITS made me laugh AND feel sad.:rotfl2: :sad1: Casey's looks like Lady Tremaine. I could go on with my comments on those two, but it might get mean. I don't believe I saw any of those 3 FGITS when we were there in January. I love Tessa's reveal picture. She looks like she is thinking "wow, I really do look beautiful" :lovestruc Love the picture of Barbara and David in all their lime green glory :rotfl: That is a great picture.

The girls all looked so beautiful and Sawyer is just too cute! Sorry the FGIT were duds.:confused3 Did you write to Disney about it?

I stopped in to file a complaint (and to compliment the one good FGIT) before we left, but I didn't hear back from anyone.

And, in case anyone over here didn't notice, I updated my TR too. :rolleyes1

Great update!! Sorry that BBB wasn't as magical as it should have been!! I sure hope that isn't a trend there!!

As I commented on your sister's TR I think it should be a requirement that a FGIT should smile and be nice. Too bad that it wasn't all that a magical experience for you but those girls sure looked beautiful and looked liked they enjoyed themselves. Funny how Tessa talked to hers anyway, good for her. I can't wait until I bring my little princess to BBB, we're going in Nov 2009 she'll be four at that time. Hopefully we get the one Lyida got or the others took a course in how to be happy.;)

LOL Heather you crack me up!! I just read the whole TR and I love it! Sorry about the FGMiT, I agree that they should be more friendly. I mean who does the hiring for these people anyway?! Anyway all of the girls look gorgeous and Sawyer is an absolute doll!!!!

I am laughing so hard about Tessa's tight-lipped smile. She did not want to mess up her lip gloss, lol!

I think that spot on the couch would infuriate me. That is disgusting!

Now, as we have left, and your house is perfectly clean, you have no excuse not to update! :stir:
This update was just for you, my friend! :thumbsup2 What do the hotwheels look like? I haven't seen any extra hotwheels, but they might have gotten put away with the ones we already have (and I have no idea what we already had).

The girls all look so sweet! Sorry about the FGIT's, I agree it was about the experience but atleast the girls didn't seem bothered by it much!

Sawyer is one cutie pie! and I never got around to responding the other day, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sawyer!
Thanks for the birthday wish! You just reminded me to change his age in my siggy. His party isn't until next weekend. This is a good thing because he's been sick for the last few days.

Oh my gosh the girls all look adorable! And they all look so grown up!!

They were poops, what a good description! Teresa is the anti-poop, though. :rotfl2:

We have so many more pictures from the BBB. Unfortantely, all of them look pretty much the same! Just wait 'til the next installment to see "professional" pictures of them. However, I don't have the photopass pictures yet. :rolleyes1

awww sorry the fgit weren't very disneylike :( but they did do a great job on the girls - they all look so cute and purrty :)

She is rather lovely. :lovestruc

I was tryig to remember when David went to get the hat!

Ok, I need to get mine up soon, huh?

Yes, I turned around and there is David in his rediculous hat. :rotfl2: He even wore it to the Old Car Show on Saturday!:rotfl2: It was one of those "pop out the nose" moments, if I had been drinking pop (soda for all you southerners).

Okay, you had me laughing AND crying! You've been hanging out too much with that Miss Cammie :rotfl: Where do I begin? Thanks for saying my baby boy is still a baby.

I'm so happy that I made you cry! ;)

Tessa noticed that Daisy wasn't talking to her very much and she was a little sad about it. She's pretty senstive to people "not liking her".

Yes, we dressed Barbara like a Diser, and she didn't even know it! :thumbsup2

The girls all looked so beautiful and Sawyer is just too cute! Sorry the FGIT were duds.:confused3 Did you write to Disney about it?
No, but Teresa filed a complaint about them! Once you're there, there isn't much you can do, either!

On one of our previous trips, a CM was cruel to Barbara. I can't remember exactly what he did, but he was berating her because she didn't hear him. She's deaf!! Teresa complained and got TONS of free Disney tickets for all of us (I'm talking 1-day park hoppers!). But, that was back in the days when they had excellent customer service.

Great update!! Sorry that BBB wasn't as magical as it should have been!! I sure hope that isn't a trend there!!
I hope not, either. I've heard rumors that this happens more often at the castle location, though.

You'd sure think it would be a requirement!

Tessa talks non-stop, whether the person she's talking to wants to hear it, or not! :lmao:

Take the picture of Lydia's FGIT with you and ask for that one! ;)

LOL Heather you crack me up!! I just read the whole TR and I love it! Sorry about the FGMiT, I agree that they should be more friendly. I mean who does the hiring for these people anyway?! Anyway all of the girls look gorgeous and Sawyer is an absolute doll!!!!
Hi Deann!! I was wondering if you ever came around here anymore. I haven't seen you in a while!

I'm with you on wondering who does the hiring! Did Casey's FGIT smile through her interview? Somehow I doubt it! I guess they wanted to give us the full Cinderella experience- wicked stepsisters, evil stepmother and all.

Let me tell yah, it's a good thing Sawyer's so cute some days!

I am laughing so hard about Tessa's tight-lipped smile. She did not want to mess up her lip gloss, lol!

I think that spot on the couch would infuriate me. That is disgusting!

Yes, I just figured out that was probably why she smiled that way in all of her pictures. The smiles only get worse in the next installment...

Yeah, it was bad enough that the furniture looked really dirty, but even worse that they did nothing to clean it up. So, people just kept sitting in it!!

OH MY GOODNESS...all of the girls and Sawyer look stunning!!!! Garsh I wish the poopy FGIT were more exuberant....I wonder if the BBB in DTD is the same way??? (dirty and uninteresting) Well, hopefully the rest of the day went better than the morning. And I don't do direct FL sun (with humidity) well either but will be moving there to "practice" eventually. ::yes:: So looking forward to the next installment.... :hippie:

Sorry about the FGIT's that they all seemed to have except for Lydia. Parker was too young for it when we went last year but I'm seriously thinking about not doing it with her b/c she is tender headed and I don't think she would be a happy camper for that experience.

Can't wait to read the next installment!
