Doreen's New Way of Life (comments are welcome)

I have lots of work today so I'm only stopping by for a moment. I met all my goals over the weekend except the exercise one!

I'm surprised I even made it to work this morning. The time change really has me feeling exhausted - can barely keep my eyes open. I'll do the best I can today.

More details later, after I do some work.

Hi Doreen! I'm just stopping by to say hello  . Congratulations on meeting your goals this weekend, you can catch up on the exercise. I hope you are able to get some rest to make up for the time change. Have a great day! :sunny:

That hour makes a big difference doesn't it? I'm sure in a few days you will be back to normal. I know my cats actually let me sleep in today so even they are feeling the difference!

Good job on meeting your goals over the weekend! They are the toughest so that is quite an accomplishment :teeth: Don't let work overwhelm you and just concentrate on doing one thing at a time.

Hey, Doreen! Congratulations on doing so well over the weekend! :Pinkbounc We've got to get ourselves walking. . .I'll see what I can do and pm you with some plans.

I guess the time change has done me in, too. When I think that my body still might be an hour behind, that means I got up at 4:30! No wonder I have to go take a nap!

Be careful today around the EVM. The Munchie Monster likes to get us when we're sleepy, you know.

:wave2: Hi Doe,
Just stopping by to wish you a great day :sunny: ! Just make it through work and go home to a nice little catnap ::yes:: .

Hi Doe,

I think I'm the only person on Earth who likes the time change. I have to work one less hour. I even still get paid for it. Sorry you are so tired today. You did a great job over the weekend. You can keep it up today.
:sunny:

Great job Doreen! March goals were fantastic, almost daily exercise, I am very impressed:bounce:

Final recap for Monday 4/5
1. Meds & vitamins 5/5 100%
2. Water 5/5 100%
3. Food 5/5 100%
4. Exercise - Sat = Pilates (.5), Sun = Pilates (.5), Mon = walking (.5) 3/5 60%

I figure this is enough of an update for the past few days. I've been doing fine except for the exercise. Of course I knew this would be my toughest goal of the month, which is why I set it!
:D

I'm off to an early bedtime. I'm still REALLY tired! In the old days I would have been also mentally exhausted and had one of my depression "crashes" but I made it through the day at work and actually got work done. I feel good about this!

I did splurge on some peanut M&Ms from the EVM, but I counted them in my carbs for the day and am still cheat free! Now if I had done my Pilates, I could roll my bear.....

Hi, Doe

The time change messes me up for at least week! ::yes:: Keep up all the great work! :Pinkbounc

:sunny: :sunny: Can you feel my sunny thoughts surrounding you, dear WISH-sis?:sunny: :sunny:

Doreen, you are doing such a fantastic job--I'm so happy for you. I'm also glad that you seem to see how wonderful you're doing as well; sometimes we don't always see our accomplishments as clearly as others do, but you're feeling your success and can bask in its glow. Hooray!:Pinkbounc

Thank you for all the love and support you send to me--you know I appreciate it. As you go through your day, know that I'm thinking of you and lifting you up in my prayers.

 ,
Erin

PS Did I hear you mention peanut m&ms? :p

Good morning Doe,
Stoppping by to say hi and sending :sunny: and:wizard: your way today. Have a wonderful week!

Just thought while the girls are doing their grammar, I would catch up on some journals.

Looks like you are doing well. How many carbs do you allow yourself each day?? Isn't it around 60?? As you know, I just recently increased the carbs and I get around 60 a day. That will probably increase a little as time goes on.

Have a great day. :sunny:

Okay Doe, you are doing really well - except for that darn pesky exercise. Come on sweetie, you know how important it is to exercise regularly. ::yes:: Alright, I've got a date with my *evil* stepper for about 8 pm tonight. How about you? What time are you exercising tonight?? :teeth: We will make it a pact for tonight, alright?
Keep up with the rest of the stuff. You are doing so well with everything! Stay away from that EVM today okay? That will definitely make you crash when you come off that sugar high!
Have a great day Doe! :sunny:

Good morning all!! :grouphug:

I'm at home today. I called off sick. I was even more exhausted this morning plus I'm having some "intestinal discomfort" - is that tactful or what?? :p

Goals:
1. Meds & vitamins - I'll take them as soon as I eat some solid food.
2. Water - haven't had any yet but I'll be starting soon.
3. Food - had a protein shake (1g). So far that's sitting pretty well but solid food just isn't sounding good at all. I don't think I'll have any problems keeping it under 60g carbs today. :p
4. Exercise - I walked the puppy for 15 minutes so if I can get my Pilates done I'll finally meet this goal! :Pinkbounc

I'm physically tired & feeling a bit sick but my mental attitude is pretty sunny. The sun is shining and the sky is blue! :sunny: It's a bit cold outside but it sure does look pretty!

Many of you know I have a min-dachshund, Maya. Many of you don't know that we raised her to use a litter pan. There's special puppy litter but it basically works the same as a cat's litter pan. DH has decided that it's time to teach her to go outside, but of course no one else in the family wants to take the time to train her - more fun for me!! Wish me luck as I retrain my almost 3 year old doxie! She's afraid of the outside - shakes whenever I put her collar on so this may be an uphill battle.

Anyway, I'll get around to journals later today. For now, I'm going to rest and relax and let my body fix whatever it's not happy about.

I have never heard of a dog using a litter pan! wow! Why all of a sudden has DH decided that she needs to go outside?

I would of called in sick as well - I wish I could have today but alas - I could not. I hope you have a great day - and just remember because you are home doesn't mean you can go off plan! :)

hey doreen, sorry you're not feeling so well today. that just stinks! at least hopefully the day off from work will help you to feel better and to get some extra rest! i know you're a little thrown off my daylight savings, but isn't it nice to have that extra hour of sunshine at the end of the day?!?! i personally love that part :sunny:

i'm with amanda...dog in a litter pan??? i've never heard of such a thing either! i guess it makes it easier so you don't have to go outside, but sheesh, it just seems odd to me!

and get to that pilates girl! i know that when you do it, you really do enjoy it, so just don't put it off! the hardest part is actually starting the exercise. once you're going, it's a breeze :smooth:

hope you have a nice and relaxing day and that you meet all of your goals! :bounce:

Hello Doe,

I hope your tummy is feeling better. I think you did the right thing taking the day off. I'm kinda doing the same thing. Rest and relax today, so you can be :bounce: tomorrow.
 and:wizard: ,
Beth

Final recap for Tuesday 4/6
1. Meds & vitamins 5/6 83%
2. Water 5/6 83%
3. Food 5/6 83%
4. Exercise - walking (.5) 3.5/6 58%

Well, this is the first time that I have met NONE of my goals for the day! :p I was just feeling too awful yesterday. The only thing I did was walk the puppy for 15 minutes.

I'm still sick to my stomach and I have a headache but I'm at work. I did not sleep well at all last night and had the strangest unsettling dreams when I did sleep. I doubt if I'll be productive but my employer seems to value attendance more than productivity.

I did eat some of the new low carb Total cereal (16g carbs with the milk) this morning and took my meds. I don't think that helped my tummy but I didn't want to go without my antidepressant 2 days in a row. I haven't taken my vitamins yet - will hopefully be feeling better later. Even my water is not sitting well in my tummy.

OK, enough whining from me! The fact is that I'm at work and I have lots to do so I cannot spend the day feeling sorry for myself or wishing I was at home. If anyone sees my sunny attitude wandering around, would you please send it back to me? :teeth:

I'm hoping everyone else is having a better day. One of my favorite sayings applies to my situation - "this, too, shall pass!".

Doe~
Big  and lots of :wizard: are being sent your way. The flu seems to be making its' rounds. I hope that you feel better as the day progresses today. Take good care of you!::yes::

Tracy:wave2:

Hi Doe,

I hope you are feeling better soon. Here's some healing:wizard: for you. Take it easy on yourself today. If your tummy is still upset, maybe you could try some low carb toast with peanut butter for protein. Keep drinking your tea, sweetie.

Beth

How was the total? I picked up a box. I'll probably try it in the AM.
