Doreen's New Way of Life (comments are welcome)

:sunny: It's Wednesday! :sunny:

I was doing fine until I logged off the computer last night. Then I had some stuff that I shouldn't have. I'm not fretting about it though, because that's why I allowed some leeway in my monthly objectives.

So far as of yesterday:
1. Meds & vitamins 2/2 100%
2. Water 2/2 100%
3. Food 1/2 50%
4. Exercise 2/2 100%

I'm still allowed to keep my cheat-free bear from yesterday because I used one of my 6 allowed days.

On to today!
I'm hoping to master all 4 of my goals today. I've got number 1 out of the way, but am still working on the rest. I didn't sleep well last night - woke up at 2:30 and couldn't get back to sleep - so I'm feeling tired. However I'm not going to let that stop me from succeeding today!

Onward and downward! :sunny:

:sunny: Good morning, Doreen. :sunny: I've decided that we should both move to Valley Forge so that we could get up together and walk in the morning. :p We could rack up some serious mileage that way, couldn't we?:p

You sound bright and sunny today. I am concerned, though, that you didn't get a good night's sleep. . .be extra heavy on the TLC that you give to yourself, OK?

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers as you motor on through your day.

 ,

I really like your new way of thinking Doreen! I think that too often we make one little slip up and set ourselves up for failure. Ofcourse when we feel like we failed we grab food for comfort. YOU are working it in to your program as a way that you can commit to for LIFE -- and I really like that!

Enjoy your day today!:sunny:

Doe,

Sorry about the rough night. Be good to yourself today. Remember to stick out your tongue at the EVM. You have a great attitude this morning.
Enjoy your day.

 to you my friend! Evenings are tough if you ask me. They always seem to be where I fall into the munchie mode.

I know you are going to meet all of your goals today! I'm sending you lots of :goodvibes today. :)

good morning doe! :sunny:

that was a really good idea to work "allowed" days into your schedule so you can still be cheat free! definitely a positive way to look at things. no way you can expect yourself to be perfect all the time, none of us can. but most of the time is a good goal :)

sorry you couldn't sleep last night. please do take care of yourself today. take a nap if you need to ::yes::

hope your day is going and continues to go well :sunny:

Good morning, Doe!

Your cheery posts are a great help to me, and I wanted to thank you for that.

Sorry that you had a rough night last night. I hope you're able to relax a bit today. Those sleepless nights can make for very long days! Here's to a succesful day! :goodvibes

:wave2: Hi Doreen,
Sorry you had a rough night. Hope you have a wonderful day today :sunny: .

Thanks for stopping in everyone!! :grouphug: I'm doing pretty well today!

Goals so far:
1. Meds & vitamins taken 3/3 100%
2. Water - all 5 mugs! 3/3 100%
3. Food so far - B=protein bar (2g), L=trail mix (15g). I'll have 2 string cheese (2g) before I leave work - don't want to be starving when I get home. Dinner will be a Wendy's salad (19g I think?) and a hot dog if I'm still hungry. No more late eating!!
4. Exercise - haven't done it yet but will try to walk the pup when I get home. Otherwise I'll be doing 20 minutes of Pilates later this evening. My toe is feeling better so I'm hoping to start walking again!

I'm tired and I didn't get too much done at work. I confess that I was listening to the Disney shareholder meeting webcast. They pulled out all the stops, trying to make ME and the company look great.

And now, I'm soon headed home to my REAL job! :sunny:

EDIT: 8 PM
Final for the day:
1. Meds / vitamins 3/3 100%
2. Water 3/3 100%
3. Food Wendy's salad (19g), 2 Dove dark chocolates (7g), 1 chocolate covered cherry (15g). 2/3 66%
4. Exercise - walked the puppy for a mile 3/3 100%

I'm rolling over my bear and going STRAIGHT to bed and I will NOT pass through the kitchen! :p

I made it through yesterday! YAY!!

Today is a new day. I'm feeling quietly confident this morning. My goals are the same, so no need to post them.

Food today:
B will be a protein bar (3g).
L will be cheeseburger (2g) and an apple
S will be trail mix (15g)
D will be chicken salad (9g I think?)
S will be sf jello w/ whipped cream

It feels good to KNOW what I'm going to eat.

Into the day! :sunny:

EDIT: 4 PM
I've met goals 1 and 2 (pills & water). I'm sticking to my above plan for 3 (food) and I'll get my exercise into my evening somehow (hopefully Pilates).

This is feeling easy and I'm enjoying it! I know the tougher days are going to hit any day now. Someone (Pam?) asked about the d-zone. That's the danger zone before TOM hits. The last 2 weeks of my cycle are typically full of food cravings, depression & moodiness, overly emotional, physically tired, etc. This all makes it REALLY hard to stick with my healthy living since I basically want to crawl under a rock to avoid the world, harbor my bad attitude and wallow in junk food :p !

Wow Doe...you are so focused. As you can see I fell off the wagon yesterday. Boy has it messed with my system! Back on track today. Hope your day is super terrific.

Good Morning Doreen! Glad to see you in such a :sunny: mood!
It is a great feeling to know what lies ahead of you, even if it's what you will be eating. One less last minute decision! Have a great day!

Keep the Faith!
Tracy

:sunny: Hello, WISH-sis! :sunny: How are you today? I hope you caught up on some sleep last night. Here's a Celebration Bounce for making it through yesterday cheat free! :Pinkbounc I think staying OP is the hardest when I'm tired, so I have tons of admiration for you!

I'm sending you a pm with the scheduling scoop. . .let me know what you think.

Doe~
You are doing such a great job staying focused especially yesterday when you were tired. You menu for today sounds great. Hope you have a wonderful day today!

Tracy:wave2:

Doe do you realize that you are only eating 30 carbs today but still have a great and healthy menu! How exciting!:bounce: I know I was amazed yesterday when I was at 30 carbs because I never once felt deprived. According to the book I just read by Dr. Atkins that keeping between 20 to 55 carbs is good for weight loss. You are :cool1: walking the walk today princess: Doe!

Hi Doe!

You're doing such a great job! Isn't it nice having your meals for the day planned in advance? It takes away the stress of being hungry and trying to avoid the munchies while you figure out what in the world will be a good choice to eat.

Hope you have a wonderful day! :wave2:

Just stopping by to say, "Have a nice afternoon!" :sunny:

:wave2: Hi Doe,
Your menu for today looks yummy! Hope you have a great day :D .

Great start to the month, Doe! I just got caught up w/ your journal and you have your act together; your goals are definitely obtainable and healthy for you. Keep up the great work and enjoy the rest of the day! :)

Keep up the great work Doreen!!! You are having such a great week! Take advantage of the non D-zone time and make large strides toward your healthy living. This way if you need to set some of these things aside during D-zone, you have a solid foundation.
Keep walking the walk Doreen! Your doin FINE!!:sunny:
