Hooray for you, Doreen! All we have to do is take this walk one step--and one day--at a time. Congratulations on your success!

I'm kinda sorry to hear that you're at the office, but you do what ya gotta do. I hope you'll be home and enjoying the weekend soon.

Lots of love and hugs,
Erin

YEAH!! A 6 smilie day!!!! :cool1:

That's awesome girlfriend...keep up the TERRIFIC work!!

Way to go Doe!!! :Pinkbounc A 6 smilie day is certainly a reason to celebrate! :cool1: Congratulations!!! :grouphug:

Have a wonderful weekend! :flower:

Saturday I did fine with food at work and then fell apart later in the evening at home. Yesterday, I took the day off.

Today I'm ready for another 6 smilie day. ::yes::
1. Devotions - Jesus said, "You are the light of the world." -Matthew 5:14 (NRSV) However, a light doesn't turn itself on. I can't shine God's light into the world without His touch in my life to flip the switch. Starting my day in prayer helps me to feel God's touch and shine His light throughout my day.
2. Pills - taken.
3. Water - 4 mugs at work today = 64 oz. and lots of scenic trips up the hall! :p
4. Healthy eating - I WANT THIS SMILIE but will I want it more than my chocolate fix in the afternoon and the junk food at home this evening???? B = scrambled eggs & sausage
5. Exercise - a trip to the health club after work. My bag is packed and in the car, so no excuses.
6. Bedtime - 10 PM.

I have a long workday. I have to stay late because of a very high level (read stressful) meeting. I'll spend the day prepping for it. No matter what time I leave work, I WILL stop at the fitness club on the way home. The scale still says 155 and my clothes are not fitting any better because I have not been faithfully exercising.

Dinner? Who knows! Frankly there isn't much in the way of low-carb anything at home so I'll either need to stop by the store, give DH a list and have him stop by the store or order out.

I'm feeling sunny and confident in spite of the long and stressful day ahead of me. I've spent time in prayer and can feel God's strength. "For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a strong mind." - a loose translation of II Timothy 1:7 that I am going to repeat often today.

Good morning, WISH-sis! Here's a big  and lots of :sunny: for your long and intense day today. You will do this work thing. Don't forget that your healthy eating and any exercise you can put in after work today is your gift to yourself and your way of nurturing yourself in a stressful time.

I'm thinking about you. . .

Erin

Morning princess: Doe! Remember God never gives us more then we can handle. Although some days I think he pushes the limit ;) You sound strong this morning so I know you are going to do well.

Thought! Why not after your workout at the gym pick up Subway for dinner. You can get a low carb wrap which is yummy, quick, and fulfilling, and you can get the family what they want! This saves you the grocery trip plus the overwhelming feeling of having to cook dinner tonight!

It's 1:15 PM and here's how I'm doing so far:
1. Devotions - :)
2. Pills - :)
3. Water - halfway through my 3rd of 4 mugs, right on track
4. Healthy eating - AM snack = a pack of mixed nuts from the EVM (9 carbs - 5 fiber = 4 net carbs), L = burger, no bun. Again I'm right on track.
5. Exercise - looking forward to stopping on the way home.
6. Bedtime - 10 PM, if I make it that long :p

The stress is intense but I'm taking it all in stride at the moment. Hopefully I'll still be employed after the meeting from 3 to 5 PM. :p Actually I think things will go well but there may be some tense moments.

So far, I'm still striding confidently down the healthy living road! :sunny:

Hi Doreen!!

Sounds like you're really having a busy day!! I love your determination to get to the health club! I hope you're able to make it! :goodvibes

 Doreen,

I hope the meeting went well. Regardless, it is over, and you have survived it. I hope you have a relaxing evening. Maybe you coule endulge in a glass of wine?

I hope your Tusday is much less intense.
Take care,
Beth

9:15 PM recap
1. Devotions - :)
2. Pills - :)
3. Water - :)
4. Healthy eating - D = small slice of pizza (25 carbs) and sf chocolate pudding (13 carbs). Not perfect but ya know, this was the best I could do and it wasn't too bad carb-wise. I'm giving myself the smilie. :)
5. Exercise - 30 minutes recumbent bike, weight circuit - this was a good workout! :)
6. Bedtime - 10 PM, I promise!!

Way to go Doe!! It looks like despite a stressful day, you stayed OP!! That is wonderful!! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

:) :) :) :) :) :)
Yesterday was a very smilie day! I didn't get to bed until 10:15 but I'm counting the smilie. Considering I didn't get home until 8 PM, I think I did well.

Today is a new day, with lots more challenges at work. Yesterday's big meeting means more assignments for me AND now many people will be watching closely. I need to move quickly so I'll be busy. I'm feeling an odd mixture of confidence and terror. :teeth: I'll keep repeating my favorite verse and asking God to guide me today.

The plan:
1. Devotions - Jesus can transform lives that the world has given up on.
2. Pills - just took them.
3. Water - finishing the first of 4 mugs.
4. Healthy eating - B = croissant w/ ham, cheese & egg (25 carbs).
5. Exercise - 2 miles / 30 minutes on the health club treaddie after work.
6. Bedtime - 10 PM.

The scale rewarded my work with a 153 - down 2 pounds from yesterday. Of course it could also be the TOM whoosh kicking in.

My allergies have been horrible. Woke up at 3 AM and took 1 Nyquil (half dose). I'm still feeling the effects and wish I could nap. :p Therefore any mileage I earn will have to be on the treaddie - no walking outside until the pollen counts go down. My bag is in the car and I'll stop by the health club on the way home from work to do my 2 miles.

Here I go, into the busy day! :sunny:

EDIT: 1:15 PM
3. Water - halfway finished my 3rd of 4 mugs
4. Healthy eating - L = a pack of peanuts from the EVM. Honestly, I'm not very hungry and am feeling a bit queasy. I keep trying to think of something decent from the cafeteria at work, but there's nothing appealing there. I'm just going to try to make it until I get home.

Good luck with your new job responsiblities. I know you will do great!

Great news on the whoosh!

Oh, my gosh, look at those smilies! :) You're taking such good care of yourself!
Walk into this day knowing that you can accomplish whatever is in store for you, and enjoy your tension-releasing walk tonight on the treadie!

 ,
Erin

Way to go on all the :) and the 2lbs! I love a good whoosh!
I know you are going to do great on your project. Remember they wouldn't assign you to it if they didn't think you could do it. When you are overwhelmed just make your to do list and color code it ;)
