Door decorations in the resort

I have always decorated my door on the wonder or dream, but has anyone decorated a door in the resort?
I would love to here your ideas...

Not allowed at the DVC resorts and not (IMO) appropriate at any resort. It destroys the theming, especially at the mods & deluxe. I know it's a "thing" with cruisers, but I find it really distasteful on land.

I am sorry to hear of your disapproval . I guess beauty is in the eye of the
Beholder. I think they are joyous and fun.

Just popping in to throw out my two cents.

I decorate every time I go to Disney, many people do.

I usually support my DISigns by using magnets that you find at a dollar store .

I have done a whole door in Mickey shape head balloons with curling ribbon attached to each balloon. I attached a sign saying "Welcome Princess Hannah". OKW resort

I have done a door at AKL resort with "Where the Wild Things Live" theme.

I usually laminate my DISigns.

Many people decorate their window using Sticky Tac to support the DISigns.
I usually decorate with a few well place items around the room also.
An example of this would be( new set of binoculars and a special card from Safari Mickey asking
my grand daughter to come and explore the resort).

I know of many people who take a wreath hook and hang special handmade Mickey wreaths up.
I am always respectful of Disney property (ensuring no damage).

This is Disney after all so just let your imagination go wild,,for people who don't like decorating their door "well to each their own'.

Can I ask where your information comes from?

For years we have been DVC members and never heard of your claims.

I do know that they ask that Christmas lights not be hung as a safety precaution.

IMO it can add to the theming.

We stayed on property once during Christmas time, and the decorations that guests put up on their doors and in their windows were amazing - Far from "distasteful." It really added something special to our vacation, and made us look forward to our walk back to our hotel room. A walk which would have normally been less than stellar.

I am so happy that Disers agree with me so....on with the plans!!!!
I love doing things in a Disney theme. I just had knee replacement surgery and that keeps me home bound several weeks. Let the planning begin!!!

I am going in October 2014 staying at the POR and YES I am going to decorate my door. I planned on taking suction cups as I haven't been able to get a straight answer about the doors being magnetic, does anyone here know?

When you find out about the doors at the resort please post....I too have been trying to find out about POP Century doors as I wanted to order some personalized magnetic mickey ears off ebay.
