A little, I think that people like D&B and Disney now they are just combined. I can't believe people listed the purse at $400 or $500 dollars, I like the purse but I wouldn't pay over 100% mark up.

I know it sounds crazy.. but people are still paying these purses for a lot more than the original price. The problem being 1. Not everyone knows that these are not disney park exclusive. 2. You can order them from WDW merchandising butyou don't know what character placement you will get when purse arrives. 3. Some people will not be traveling to disney world and would rather buy the bag from ebay knowing exactly what it will look like.

If we could "cut out the middle man" that way we could help each other out. For example, recently another member on this board offered to buy a wristlet for another member here while she was at disney world. That was very generous of her and if we could ship them out from disneyworld this would be easier and probably a lot less expensive than buying from Ebay Now the icing on the cake would be to get a better discount at disney world.. Disney Visa gives a 10% off over a $50 purchase. With all of us here buying so many of these bags we should get a group disount..

I like the idea of helping each other out. I was there last week and was able to get one person here a wristlet and another person one of the sketch totes. I also got several others for other people I know. I enjoyed being able to help others and hope more people decide to do the same thing

That was so sweet of you Everyone here is willing to share info, tips, even post ebay links when they spot a good auction! I was just there over xmas and did not even think to offer to ship something to my fellow disney dooney addicts. Now known as DDA I did bring back two of the sketch purses and a black wristlet for some friends. I think if we are able to ship the USPS flat rate boxes this would be the least expensive route to go. Hopefully other DDA will like this idea

I think it is hard to know who to "trust" in the event you purchase something for a fellow Dis'er and then the person changes their mind and backs out. I know I am honest, but you never know when you send out the money if you will receive what you paid for (not talking about anyone personally here). It is a risk and some people might feel more protected via ebay. Just a thought.

That is my thought as well....these things are going for big bucks on Ebay so a person could recoup the costs. I mailed payment on 12/31 from WA state so I am thinking it should be there tomorrow or the next day due to the holiday.

My DH would freak if he thought I was buying from "some internet thread". I am new to this thread so I would not expect a high degree of trust from other either. But I have faith in the human race to do the right thing!
If you have paypal accounts - it makes it easier to exchange funds if someone buys for another.

I have stuff coming from Disney merchandise, but I'll reach out to everyone that might be there or work there in the coming weeks. Thanks Jennabenna for the offer! Especially if a new design comes out.

I am sure we could easily sell the unwanted/unpaid item on Ebay. But, I know for a fact another diser here would happily buy the item(s)the other person wanted and didn't make payment on. For example, I now have my friend's sister asking me if I want to sell her my Minnie purse ..unfortunately it's the only one I have left for me.

I am going to DL in less than three weeks and I will be posting on what, if anything, that I find there. Maybe that rumored DL blue purse will magically appear while I am down there . It depends on what shipping you paid for. Do you happen to have a tracking number for the package?
