I got noticed --- well my purse got noticed --- by a fellow DISboard-er today! I live in Central Oregon, so there aren't many of us. I was shopping at a store she worked in and she ran me down with my Disney Dooney! She was so excited. Waving HELLO if you check out this thread

I've been using my purse (original white sketch) since Christmas Day and this was the first time it got noticed. Little bummed about that, but her reaction made it worthwhile. I got a little protective of my bag.....

And here I am !!! i just got off work, and this is the FIRST thing I'm doing! LOL, haven't even had dinner yet!!! I found a pic on ebay of the one with Minnie, love that one too!!! Ahhh dang, another disney purchase for me!

Anyways, thanks for the heads up on this thread! So excited, now I'm trying to decide if I should buy in WDW when we are there in 3 weeks, or order it.... what to do, what to do!!! Thanks for coming into the store with that! I LOVVVEEEE IT!!!!!!!!!! And I wouldn't have known about it without you!

HI HI! Its amazing with all the times you've been to the store that we've never discussed WDW and Disney.... But thank goodness to finally find someone else from Bend who's on the disboards... I was convinced I was the only one!!!


Anyone been to the parks today to see if they are still available there? And DANG, if I had only knew and could have ordered over the phone before this monday, since DL is doing 20% off for Premium Passholders (expires tomorrow). Would have helped with that shipping.... ohhh well, such is life. Do we think they'll still be in WDW in mid Jan???

I did have someone today at costco scoping it out...that made me feel a little bit better. I can't wait for someone to notice and say somthing. I figured being in AZ that there are not too many of these around yet

Well, no "big" people have said anything but while we were in line at Sam's Club the other day, I heard a little girl behind me say, "Mommy, I really like that lady's Mickey purse!" so I turned around and thanked her.

They aren't giving any discounts over the phone, I was told only employees get a discount. That might make you feel better!

my bag and wristlet

The new bag and the Minnie bag. I thought the Minnie bag was big, but this new one is really big.

They had set up a wall of them in the World of Disney when I went in there tonight. The CM said she didn't know when or if any new ones were coming out. Then on the bus back to AKV, I was talking to a girl (college CM) who said that she heard that there weren't going to be anymore after these sold out. Sometihng about Disney and Dooney not agreeing on things???
I do know that lots of people were checking them out while I was standing there and a couple of people said they had already gotten theirs! So they must be selling like crazy.

thanks for these photos! i love the photo of you with your bag and wristlet! the last photo really clarifies the sizes released plus i love seeing photos of the bags!!

i agree! thank you hallowishes! i have been holding off using mine, thinking winter, but i am putting my stuff in right now. so glad we all found out about these. i have some more serious bags, but no way are they this much fun. makes me think of being there..... we need a castle icon!

i know .. ive been a fan of ALOT of other kinds of purses .. but this is the most fun, its like carrying a little piece of the magic with you every day so glad that this thread is still going strong!!!

I had the lady at the Disney store notice mine the day after Christmas....she said there had already been one person in their store in Tigard, OR, that had one as well.

I think it is pretty cool that some of us got the first run of these purses and that they are not going to make that pattern anymore. Maybe I don't need Minnie after all.

im with ya! i really like my "version 1" bag and dont feel the need to have minnie. she is terrific and all, dont get me wrong! but that little leather d&b label really obstructs the pattern in my opinion!

It's funny, I have been carrying mine since Christmas too and I keep showing it to people thinking they will scream with excitement as I did when I first saw it, but most 'non Disney' people just say, 'oh, that's cute, so you, etc.', oh well, hopefully a Dis fan will say something more enthusiastic soon. Regardless, I love it, it's my little piece of Disney! (this is similar to the reaction all of us get when we tell Disney stories or talk Disney to non-Disney people, they give you that look like you are a little crazy, they just don't get it, too bad for them, they are missing out on what makes us all so happy!)

I carried my tote in Downtown Disney in November (at DLR) and no one said anything....
