Dooney & bourke disney collaboration

Well, I'm using my tote every day and love it! If I'm paying for something, I'm going to use it! Why pay for it if you wouldn't use (unless you're treating it as a collector's item)?

The advertising doesn't bother me, either. I don't think it's too "in your face," kwim? Most of what we have/use has its brand emblazoned on it (cars, shoes, jeans, etc); why would a purse be any different?

Nobody that has complimented me on my purse has realized it is a dooney and bourke at first glance. I don't care either way.. I love the extra pixie dust the purse gives me. I am hoping to get a black one just haven't decided whether it will be the tassel or the tote. Definitely getting the wristlet as well. Another xmas present from santa to me. Just so happens santa pays with my credit card.

I totally agree. I use mine as my everyday bag. And that is what I love about it is the fact that it is "Disney" all over!!!!!!!!!!

I had my daughter at the Ortho right after we got home, and one of the techs spotted that it was a Dooney from across the room. That was impressive, she knows her bags! I have had a couple of other people notice too, I get lots of compliments on it.
Also, as far as advertising for Disney with Disney all over the bag, is that any different than a Coach bag with C's all over it, or other Dooney's that say Dooney all over them?

Just spoke to WDW Merchandising and the white bags are due back in stock any day. So as of now, they aren't discontinued yet.

I was quoted $220 on the phone for the large tote when I purchased it. I also called a few minutes before and talked to a different CM and he quoted me $220 as well.

I was also quoted a barrel bag for I believe $180. I have not seen the actual bag but it was an option via phone.

In the black the large tote can snap on either side or stay open. It also has the brass footings on the bottom of the bag where the tassel tote does not. The large tote has a buckle and the tassel tote has the rainbow zipper. I am sure someone else might be able to add some info too...

Edit: I am not sure if you are talking about the white or black...

They don't charge your cards till it is shipped out...my card is showing the charge, so I would assume that I will be seeing my new black bag in 2 or so weeks.

I wonder if they got LOTS of calls and they don't want to get backorder "issues" like with the white ones.

If they charged your cc then please call and really check to see if the order really has been sent because I ordered like almost 2 months ago for the white and my credit card was charged and then I called and found out they made a mistake and charged my card even though my order did not ship out and they said they were very sorry and put the credit back on my card and I am still on back order for the white and it has been 2 months!
So I will call this week and make sure it is sent out if I see a charge on my cc for the black one that I orded this week.

Just got back last night, and we didn't see any white ones. Plenty of the black. Just a heads up, when we got our envelope on the door yesterday morning there was a coupon good for 35% off at most of the DTD stores and pretty much all of the resort stores. That would be a pretty good deal if you wanted to buy one on your last day.

Same here. We checked out Sunday morning and the promotion just started. It runs through the 19th, if I remember correctly. I went to TrenD and bought the $210 purse and the wristlet at the 35% off. I returned the white purse that I bought earlier in Dec. They said they'd have no problem selling it as lots of people are looking for them.

I am very curious if the Land has them....noone has reported that they are there so far. It surprises me that they would not have at least a different version of the purse.

They also have coupons on the bottom of receipts from some of the fastfood places good for 20% off at certain stores (I know World of Disney is one) if you shop between 9 AM and 12 PM. I know I got one at Casey's Corner.
