a proper way to celebrate your b-day!!! My DH's b-day is March 1st - does that count if I get a bag? I still think a great idea would be a cruiseline collection - - really classy, perhaps in white red yellow and black/navy - DCL colors and then various disney/nautical logos, etc......I'm envisioning it now and I don't even have the WDW bag yet....so if you're a big bag person - get the tote or the large tasssel - large tassel has a zipper - is it significantly smaller than the tote?

It's a small world, my DH's b'day is March 1 too....maybe we should get the new bag (the one that's coming out) to celebrate! I'm going to be there the end of March for Spring Break and I'm definitely going to check the new ones out. I got my white sketch and wristlet over NY's for my b'day.

Yeah - it looks like in the pictures that the black one is stiffer somehow -kinda more a plastic type of material -- whereas the white looks softer --- it's the same material as the D&B handprint bags right? or their new duck bags?

I was at DTD today and asked at TrenD about the new style coming out, the lady did say the new print will be like the black Wonder, except a cream background with various shades of brown Mickeys. She said they WILL have cross body and wallets in this new collection. Bad news is she said March will be the earliest for them to be out, but it could be April.
I got myself a sketch wristlet and found quite a few yellowing as I was going through them. The CM said she was pulling them, but it makes me wonder how it's going to hold up.

Wow - that is quite a concern about the yellowing. Did the CM comment on why they are yellowing? Are the bags exposed to direct sunlight in the display? Do you have any guesses?

It's not stiff. Might look stiff. It's normal.

All D&B white styles can tend to yellow over time (I have read about this), so it is not a problem specific to the Disney bags, just a problem with Dooney white bags.

That's such a bummer. I would've loved to have had one of the sketch bags, but couldn't see spending the money to have it yellow over time. So I had to content myself with the Wonder print!

I posted a pic comparing the 2 white sketch bags back on page 107. The large bag is enormous to me. I bought the medium sketch and I think that one is big. My friends said they thought it was a good size. I'm used to carrying a med size hobo Coach bag. I am getting used to it though. I just wish the straps were a little longer and not so stiff. The ones on the larege bag look like they would be better(they would hang down when you weren't using them???) Mine just stay straight up all the time and get in the way...does that make sense???

This 100% makes sense!!! You seem like you like your straps like me. However, I AM getting the large white v2...I am soo excited. Too big or not too big I am pumped!

Doodle, no they aren't in direct sunlight in the store. As someone said, the yellowing tends to happen on their white bags, but I was surprised to see brand new ones discolored.

Ugh, I'm sad to hear this .

This is my first D&B bag -- does anyone know if there are steps we can take to prevent yellowing? Like a certain way to store it or something like that. Thanks for any advice.

On this yellowing issue - I've googled this problem and there are many things out there. Some ladies have had no problem at all with their white D&B bags, others have kept them sealed up in plastic or some kind of cover out of site of any light and still had yellowing. Some have never had a issue.
I am disappointed to hear that some of the Disney ones in the stores are already turning.
D&B has a "trade in" program for all of their bags. You can trade in an old bag, get credit for the amount you paid on that bag towards a new bag as long as you buy one that is worth double that amount. (example: trade in a $150 bag, you have to buy something for $300 to use your $150 credit). SOOOOO.....here is my plan I have the white Disney tassel tote. If it yellows over time, I will trade it in and buy up to a new bag. I would probably get something in leather if I were to do this.

I don't think anyone knows really. I asked the CM if she knew if they were coming out with a wallet for the Wonder too, and she said she hadn't heard anything, but maybe they will since the purses are selling even better than they thought they would.

Is is warm down there?? We just had a boat load of snow up here and I can't take it. I keep telling myself to remember how cold it is right now when I am sweating at WDW in late Aug.

Specifically the black one. I'm thinking if they are as I live on the west coast it may be cheaper to have one shipped from there rather then from WDW 'cause it is way to long to wait until thanksgiving and this little turkey wants her purse baaaaaad!!!!!!!!

I have never bought an expensive purse like this but you guys really have me wanting not one but two!

I found this site which might help those who want specific info on sizes etc. I don't think the prices are good but I've seen many posts asking for measurements. (I have nothing to do with this site btw...just did a google search for dooney and disney)
