Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

hi all! i have been away from this board in an effort to give my wallet a break from the dooneys well, i am back and with this sale , i really want a charms bag. here's my question, does anyone have the go 2 tote? if so, what do you think? i am concerned that the straps hide too much of the pattern, but would love to hear about any opinions out there. i also love the satchel. actually i love them all ..... well, if anyone has any input on this bag or any of the charms items, please let me know. also, i think i heard somewhere that the ipad case will not fit an ipad that is in its apple black cover. is that true? i have a first generation ipad and it is in that book style apple cover. is the charms ipad case too small to hold mine in the cover? thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

I tried them both on for size on Saturday. I like the straps better on the tote but it only has a snap closure.

The satchel had a zipper but the handles make it sit to far up under my armpit and the strap it thin. Plus I don't like the look of a shoulder strap with handles.

But...you see more of the pattern on the satchel.

Hence the reason I didn't buy one or the other on Saturday or today with the sale. Lol.

thanks so much for the reply, yes i wish they would come out with a shoulder tote with a top zip closure, wouldn't that be great i am leaning toward the satchel because i really prefer a zipper top for when my bag tips over in the car which happens too often.... but the go 2 tote does look like the straps would be pretty comfy..... decisions.... thanks again!

was wondering whether the black bottom piece on the go to tote was leather trim or the fabric from the straps?

one more, does the charms satchel have feet? i think the dcl cruise satchel did but it also had leather trim corners and it doesn't look like the charms satchel has those?

I would say get the balloons print because the coated cotton is easy to wipe clean. The striped bag would show more dirt and be harder to clean I think.

Has anyone gotten notification that their ds.com order has shipped? I think in the past my orders have almost always shipped the next day. But so far this time I haven't gotten a shipping notification (I ordered Wednesday morning) nor can I check my order status online because there seems to be something wrong with their online order tracking.

They had it on ds.com a few weeks ago, but it has been on/off the site a lot. I wonder if they take an item down when it goes out of stock and then add it back when they get it in again? Sale time is the best time to get it.

I did it I ordered the White with the Balloons on it ! I figured that I could use it all year and I really wanted a bag that was not too much of a tote ! I am so ready to get it now !! I also got the $15 credit card holder / change purse thing they offered !! I am on my way to starting a collection now !

Okay, I never understood you D&B people. I mean, I've never owned a bag/purse that cost over $10. Vera Bradley and Coach are all the rage here JoCo, KS and I just shake me head and roll my eyes at those people.

UNTIL.....

We allowed some friends to use our DVC points and as a thank you, they sent me a green D&B sketch wristlet. Now that I have it, I think I'm hooked.

SO....

I just took advantage of the Disneystore.com sale and ordered my first full size D&B bag. I have kids (one still in diapers) so opted for the large white sketch tote.

I just completed a free-lance gig (I'm a musician) and had $200 to burn. I got the bag, the credit card holder, then with the 25% off and the free shipping, it came to $199.25.

DH doesn't blink at dropping that on a new pair of sunglasses (another thing that I won't pay over $10 for!) so I figured this is a gift for MEE!!!!

I think this is beginning of a beautiful (and expensive) friendship.

Well guess what? My package came even though I never got a shipping notification and the ds.com site didn't show it as shipped. I am at work and waiting until I get home tonite to open it.

I'm on hold with DS.com now. Hoping to find out if my order from Thursday has shipped yet. I still haven't been able to check the status online. I just got a message that it's a 10 minute wait for a CM.

ETA: Well, it shipped on Friday, at least. I never got a shipping notice. My package should be here on Wednesday.
