Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

Lisa, I just thought I would update you. Thursday we went to DTD- TrenD only seemed to have one medium sketch tote which didn't have very good placement and WoD didn't have any. Yesterday we went to HS and I checked out Sunset Club Couture. They had 2, but neither had good placement. We're heading to AK today, so I'll look to see what I can find there.

I also thought I would update you all on my president's day sale purchase, I bought the balloon collete, and I'm in love! I do wish it had come in the black, and I was considering the Susannah, but the collete is the perfect size, I wouldn't want anything bigger.

I also got a CC holder, and I was very happy with the placement. I hate tinkerbell (I know, I'm pretty much alone there ) and I was so afraid I'd get one with her front and center. Well, I'm happy to report that there is no tink anywhere to be found I'll post some pictures later!

You are not alone on being a non-Tink fan. I don't like her either. Tink I see as one of the villains of Disney. I am pretty alone also in not wanting a Villains purse. I don't think she is a good role model nor are the villains. There is a lot of things in this world I just don't get Anyway, I am totally with you that it would be great if they had an Epcot bag commemorating its 30th anniversary. I think that could be really cute!!! Did you hear us Disney and Dooney

I love the idea of an Epcot purse with the retro logos!

I would also say I am not a big Tink fan. I have a Tink hat that my dh bought me and what it says does fit me to a T.

Enjoy your new purses! I just pulled my White princess tote out since it feels like spring here. I love, love, love that purse!!!

How's the purse hunting going? If you happen to come across a nice white Sketch wirstlet with a great placement of Mickey (and they are in the newer shiny material), I'd love one of those too! Don't go to a lot of trouble though. Hope you are having an awesome trip!

Just got back from my trip. Sorry, Lisa, I couldn't find your perfect bag. I barely saw any medium sketch totes the whole time. In fact, I didn't see all that many Dooneys, at least compared to pictures I have seen from other people's trips. I saw a lot of the comic pattern bags, in all styles, and a lot of balloon wristlets, satchels and Colettes, and just a few balloon drawstring bags. There were a lot of 40th messengers and Kristens, but no other styles. I saw A LOT of sketch crossbody bags, but no colored sketch wristlets. As far as white sketch bags went, I saw a fair amount of weekenders and quite a lot of large sketch totes, plenty of white sketch wristlets, but barely any medium sketch totes, and no other styles of the white sketch pattern. I think this may have been partially due to how crowded it was. And, Lisa, I would have so happily looked for a wristlet for you and likely could have found a good one, but unfortunately I didn't come back on here since my last update until now. I'm sorry! I wish I could have been more helpful! Hopefully someone who is going soon can help you out.

On a side note, I was very surprised by how many CMs didn't know about placement. A few times when I asked to see multiple sketch totes behind the counter I got the strangest looks and was told they were the same thing.

I was very surprised to see as few bags as I did. As I said before, I think that the crowds this week may have played a part in this. I think that some of the more popular bags were being bought up pretty quickly and not being restocked nearly as fast. And of course they had a lot more room to fit the smaller bag styles, so there was generally plenty of those in stock. But the larger bags were in shorter supply. One other thing I forgot to mention earlier- this morning we stopped at DTD before heading to the airport. I went to WoD to see if they had any medium sketch totes. They did this time, so of course I asked the CM if I could see them. The first one she handed me was the old, less smooth material. The others they had were the new, shinier and smoother material. Are they still selling bags in the old material? I just thought it was kind of odd, as all the other white sketch bags I had seen that week were the new material.

Also, the CM at Uptown Jewelers saw my credit card holder and asked where I got it. She said she had never seen one before. Oh, and I just thought I would mention, I'm VERY impressed with how much I was able to fit in my cc holder. I was able to fit 2 KTTWs, 2 photopass cards, 7 park tickets, and 21 fastpasses. It was a bit tight, but I was very pleased as it meant I could keep them all in one safe place instead of spreading them throughout my bag and having to worry about losing any.

Its is the pink pouchette with green minnie mouse faces all over it I am going April11th and am interested in maybe getting a wristlet if it could hold my iphone, park passes, room keys, and some cash.

Yes, that is about it, but it will hold. I used my cruise wristlet on my cruise, to hold my wave phone, my tiny camera, my lipstick and my room key, it fit fine.

I have a purple Sketch wristlet and I can fit my iPhone, chapstick, and DL and CC in it. Plus it has the little pocket on the back that can hold cash or receipts.

for reference, that is an Uncommon brand case on my phone...it's not very thick but not super thin either.

If you can't, I understand. From what someone else said though doesn't seem as if there are many Cindy sketches to be had. Maybe they got new inventory in. Have a great trip!
