Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

Hi.. my husband will be driving through Orlando on his way to St Pete Beach for a conference. Has anyone seen the comic satchel bags at downtown disney? Hoping to convince him to go to World of disney or TREN-D and buy one for me.:santa:

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Merry Christmas!:flower3:

Santa heard I wanted something to remind me of WDW since we won't be there again until at least 2013 so he brought me a black pop princess satchel :-) As an added bonus, it is big enough to hold the Kindle Fire my mom gave me for Christmas.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of everyone's newest Dooney additions

Catira, we were there the 10th through the 20th and never saw a single satchel. The CMs in Mousegears told me that they only got them once, 9 bags that sold out in 4 hours. Everything new that went out while I was there were 40th bags (but no buckets or wallets). Sending you some pixie dust that he a better luck than I did pixiedust:. Although I did order it from DS.com....

I got the purple crossbody that I wanted! I have to say after the conversations I had with my mom when they were in WDW visiting my sister I was expecting to get one but didn't think it would be purple! The purple was my first choice but whenever I talked to them they kept saying how they couldn't find it anywhere (I know it seems to be the most popular color). Well, they searched high and low and FINALLY found it at the Grand Floridian. But it was definitely a great surprise! :goodvibes

The first picture's a little blurry since I took it on my phone but I love the design!

Yikes, only 9 bags at Mousegears:scared1: My husband's flight got delayed so he didn't have a chance to go to downtown disney for me. Seems I'll have to keep checking ebay. Please post your bag pics when you get your delivery from the disneystore.:cutie:

I'm sorry that you didn't have any luck. My bag shipped today, so I'll definitely post pics!

Does anyone have a pic of the satchel side by side with the original Cindy tote?

Thank you! I was very excited to get it. And Aaron Rodgers is pretty awesome, isn't he? :thumbsup2

Sure seems like there are a lot of Wisconsin girls showing up here and over at the Chamilia thread. May I ask you a question, wdwgirl03? I see you went in March/April of this year and are headed back around that same time frame next year. We are thinking about going the middle of March, but I'm terrified of the crowds. Can you give me any advice, words of wisdom, etc.?

Sure! We love going in the spring because the weather is usually really great (minus the two days of nonstop rain we had this past March but that was a rarity! :scared1:) and lately we've enjoyed the Flower and Garden Festival. The thing about going in the spring is that it is a more busy time but not everybody's spring break is at the same time-it's a lot more spread out, unlike Christmas (we've been several times during both seasons and Christmas is a LOT more hectic). It might be because we're used to going during busier times but in all honesty it's not that bad at all. The best advice I can give is to take advantage of extra magic hours/rope drop. You'd be surprised how much you can get done if you're willing to get up early! Then we usually take a break in the afternoon before going to visit another park in the evening. We've always been able to do everything we wanted to. I hope you decide to go because it's a great time to visit!

I hate to wish this week away...but my bag is scheduled to arrive tomorrow evening!

Not sure if this has been posted already but the comic mini barrel bag for $98 is now on ds.com.

Thanks for the tips. I'm pretty sure we're going to go, but now we're trying to decide where we want to stay. We have typically stayed at AKL or BC, but the prices are a lot higher peak versus value season. Thinking of staying offsite for the first time. Not sure how I feel about that, but it would leave more money for shopping !

Check out the We love Bonnet Creek thread on the hotel site on these boards. It is located right next to Carribean Beach Resort. You will be spoiled with a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen with washer & dryer for less than you paid for a disney hotel room. No disney transportation so you will need a car.

We have friends that are heading to Aulani in January and I would love it if they would pick me up a Aulani Dooney. Does anyone have any good pictures of the bags offered there along with the prices? I believe there are wristlets, crossbody and totes with this design. I would probably only get a wristlet. I already own three Disney Dooney and love them all and I do not want to spend a fortune but as I do not know if we will ever get there I figured this is my best opportunity. Also, they own DVC and are AP holders. Are there any discounts out there for them?

Thanks for helping me with my Disney Dooney obsession.

Linda
