It's the black balloon Susanna, right? Could you post pictures, especially of the inside, pockets, etc.? I'm considering this as my "teacher" bag and want to see if it will work. It would be much appreciated! :)

There used to be quite a few auctions like that back when people were trying to circumvent final value fees, but now that you have to pay FVF on shipping costs as well, I don't get what the point of listing that way is? Hoping for someone to push BIN before they realize how much they're getting hit with in shipping maybe?

That said, $120 all in for that bag is a better deal than the 25% off sale was, but I'd say buying from someone with 0 feedback, who is shipping from the UK, is a bit of a risk. Of course it's not a temptation for me since that bag is

Not just to circumvent fees, but if you wanted to return the bag, you would only get your $10 back, because that is what you paid for the bag. They get to keep the 'shipping' fees. Stay away from listing like this. In fact, stay away from Ebay!!

Well, as someone who has bought and sold quite a few Disney Dooney's on e-bay, all without a single problem, I have to say I don't love the stay away from e-bay altogether advice. ;)

That said, I agree that you need to be careful, and no way would I touch the outrageous shipping, 0 feedback, UK or Vietnam sellers.

BTW, the buyer protection program now covers the purchase price and original shipping fees. Not that it's ever fun to deal with making a claim. Better to avoid questionable auctions in the first place.

I totally agree with you:thumbsup2. eBay has been a great service for me buying and selling.:). Don't throw out the baby with the dirty bath water. Be wise, however.:)

Just have to chim in here...I :lovestruc eBay. I have bought and sold so many items on eBay. Sure, there have been a few problems but eBay and PayPal both have great buyer/seller protection in place if you follow the proper buying/seller procedures (always getting a tracking number, paying from your CC not your bank account).

That's true!
I have a question though, someone is going to the marathon on ebay and is getting purses. He closed the listing for the crossbody and never had the Colette listed. I contacted him and he said he would get me one for $325 WITHOUT ebay, through paypal OR $350 through ebay.

Now I did paypal with someone here and no problem whatsoever, in fact I would do it again no question asked. But this is a person from ebay, someone I do not have any contact with.

What do you ladies think? HELP!!!!!:scared1:

I believe if you pay with pay pal you are still covered under the buyer protection. Like if you don't get the item the seller has to prove with a tracking number that he sent it.

Does he have good feed back on eBay?

Thanks Sarah! Yes, we've been in contact all day today via private email and she does have good feedback on ebay so I feel better about this.

And I do not have a Collette bag. Looked online for the dimensions on ds.com and it looks like I would really like this. So, why not.
Missed out on the Tinkerbell, maybe I can get this one.

Just bumming a little over the darn pricetag, dang it! :headache:

hi everyone, i was hoping for a little help in deciding which tote to keep. i ordered the susanna large tote in the mickey balloons, as well as the white bows tote during the sale. well, i think i can only keep one and i would love to hear any opinions out there. if you could only keep one, which would it be? thanks in advance to anyone who can help out an undecided diser :)

poohs_hunny:
sorry i am not computer savy enough to post pictures.:confused3
The bag is a nice size. I think it looks bigger on the outside.
I can fit a 12X10 music folder in it with plenty of room left over.
The sides have a cell phone pocket and a larger place for a wallet with a snap. The other side has a zip pocket about 11 inches long and a pouch pocket in front of that.
I think you could use it as a teacher bag if you put about 4-5 files or folders in it.
I hope this helps.

I just got the black susanna tote.
I would say the color would be the deciding factor for me.
Black hides more than white and I would hope that it will continue to as good as I use it over the years.

Hi, I don't know if this will help you, but I did the same thing with the Aulani tote. I got it thru someone who sold on ebay but did it off ebay. They lived in Honolulu. After talking with her on the phone and several emails and seeing her feedback I felt good about it and she picked me out a great purse and called from Hawaii at the store to even make sure she bought the placement I wanted. You can't have that in this situation but I wanted to encourage you that there are great people out there who will help you. Unfortunately, they charge huge prices. You are getting this purse for better than I got the Aulani:):scared1: Price wise that is. I paid $399, and that included shipping thru UPS which was probably around $25. So you are saving $50 from what I paid:lovestruc

So... this is what I found when I got home this afternoon. :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Can you just imagine the conversation between my DH and the UPS guy! :lmao:

I ordered three Chamilia Beads and four bracelets and they sent each piece in a separate box!!

On a better note, the eighth box had these two items in it....

LOL! That's quite a stack of boxes. I'm laughing at the thought of their conversation :rotfl:

I didn't ordered any Dooneys this time, but got a single bead in a box like that today, and my other 2 (SMALL) items were shipped separately. Sure seems like a lot of wasted shipping, doesn't it?!

Lynn, I can't believe those boxes :rolleyes1 No wonder the shipping fees are so high  Nice comics bag, you got a princess Minnie :woohoo: Nice placement on your credit card holder :yay:

Does anyone else overbuy, or have buyer's remorse after making certain purchases? If so, what do you do....sell the item on ebay, or send back if you buy from DS.com? Or just hang onto the item because you love it even though you know it's not going to work for you for whatever reason? :confused3

Does anyone ever work out trades or anything? Just curious how others handle it! :thumbsup2
