Oh sad day! I really like the 55th anniversary edition. The one on ebay I found is super cute. Just cautious I guess. How do you spot a fake?
Oh - and any new patterns coming any time soon? (I don't even own one yet and I'm already hooked... lol) - and yes did say yet. I will own one very soon!

Here is a site on ebay for spotting a fake or preventing getting a fake. However, for some odd reason, which has been posted mulitiple times on this site, many of the Disney Dooneys will not have a registration card with it and that has been true of ones bought at Disney parks. So, don't let no registration card deter you. Use the other features to guide you. Hope this helps. Also, I was just at Disneyland and they still had Kristens in the park, so you could call the mail order number for Disney parks, 1-800-560-6477 to order one thru them. However, they charge alot to ship it and you can't use any discounts you may have.

Back from downtown Disney!

I picked up a 40th messenger with placement I loved so I'm a happy camper. They had two out but the cm was completely clueless about searching for placement so I didn't push asking for any bags in the back. She even asked me what the big deal was with these bags...when I asked to see the other messenger on the shelf, she asked why, they all looked the same

Anyway, they had the Minnie bows, most of the various color sketch cross bodies, and the 40th bags (Kristen, messenger, and bucket) What I did not see : 40th wristlets or cross body. I did see at least six boxes of the 40th wallets there.

I went back to TrenD to check on their placement for the messenger but kept mine. They said they didn't expect to see the comic version anytime soon and one cm said 2012. I went back to WoD and talked to a really great cm who looked it up on the computer at the info desk and showed me the screen that says as of Oct. 3, they were in the warehouse! He just isn't sure as to when they will appear in the stores. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the Harvey messenger but thanks to the pp i'll check the yacht club this week...

My placement is with Mickey and Minnie, the banner, the '71', and the park logos...though I don't have epcot on my bag....out of four bags I saw, I am realizing that it's super hard to get it all in.

I'll be in epcot tomorrow so I'm going to hit up mouse gears.

I need some advice from my fellow Dooney Dissers. I purchased my 40th Anniversary Kristen in May and I just noticed that the threading at one of the corners is coming undone. What do I do??? I did register the product when I got it and on Dooney's website it guarantees for one year but how does it work with these bags? We all know how important placement is! I am going back to WDW in December so if anyone has option there that can be an option. Please help!

Beautiful - I'm drooling over it! I'd have to find a really good deal to get a wallet. And judging by how difficult they've been to find, I don't think that's going to happen.

Do any of you ever swap purses? I have a sketch tassel tote that I used a couple of times and a purple sketch wristlet that still has the tags on it. I love the design of them both, but the tassel tote wound up being just way too small for me, and I just don't know what to do with the wristlet. I just wish I had pieces I felt motivated to actually use! Would selling them on eBay and buying new be my best bet?

I believe they are 40% off retail. I would highly suggest calling ahead to find out their stock, especially if you have a long drive.

I went to Mousegears today and saw one 40th letter carrier, 40th wallet and buckets, kristens, and messengers (oh my)! They had the large sketch duffle along with several sketches and balloon bags. I still haven't seen 40th wristlets or the new pattern. Later I went to emh at hs and saw messenger, Kristen and a few sketches...I've been wearing my mini Margo and it's caught the attention of a few cm who wonder why it wasn't sold at the park.
