Received the Sketch Tassel Tote today. Placement is terrible but bag is cute anyway. Going to the world next week.

Has there been any sighting for this bag in the world lately? I was thinking of exchanging it in person. Do you think this will be allowed?

Do Disney Dooney's show up in Dooney outlets? I will be near an outlet next week.

I was at the Dooney outlet on the 19th in Orlando and they had several Disney Dooney's. They had both princess bags, Mickey Wonder tote and wristlet, the large sketch tote and the tonal wristlet and champsac tote. I ended up getting a Wonder wristlet for like $31 with tax. They were all 40% off.

Drats....hopefully someone else will chime in with an answer! I dont want to pack it for no reason and I would rather NOT just purchase one in the parks (if I see one with better placement) and return the one I have as I only allowed myself to get it with a discount code.....

You could buy one and then return the one you ordered with the new one's receipt...†hey do let you return them. I don't know if there will be a price tag issue between the one you ordered and one you'd get there.

It is a sad, sad, sad day.
I got my much anticipated box of 4 Lucy bags.
My desires (in order) were:
Mickey
Cheshire Cat
Tea Party cup
Dumbo

By ordering FOUR, you think I would have a somewhat chance of getting a Mickey, or a good part of Mickey, etc, on either the front or the back. . . . .. NOPE!

What I got:
These front and back pictures are representative of TWO bags, yup, I got TWO bags that were down right identical, nary a smidgeon difference, so only going to post pics of one of them:

Forgive me for being blunt but, I think they suck , so they immediately got wrapped back up.

Ok, so now I am torn between "eh, number one", or "eh, number two.

hm, so, it seems eh #1 looks more aesthetically distributed, it has a small Minnie head, and a Mickey and a tea party cup on the bottom (not that anyone really looks there). But, I don't like how the Cheshire cat is missing half his grin.

I am kind of leaning towards eh #2. . . . it has a nice Cheshire cat, and Dumbo right there on the front, and while the castle isn't really important to me it is kind of cool how it is nicely centered right above the logo. My main gripe is it kind of looks "bare" on the bottom right part of the front considering how "busy" the rest of it is. (making any sense?) and well, no Mickey or cup.

It's not that I expected absolutely perfect placements or anything, but geez, none of these are grabbing me.
I think Sheila spoiled me for life by getting me the PERFECT messenger bag.

You could buy one and then return the one you ordered with the new one's receipt...†hey do let you return them. I don't know if there will be a price tag issue between the one you ordered and one you'd get there.

I once bought several medium sketch at disney looking for my perfect placement. They had been bought at Tren-D and WOD. The cashier had to match my receipts with the matching bag that had the same sku as the bags I was returning. I thought they all had the same sku since they were the same price and bag but that was not the case.

Drats.....Im going to call tomorrow....I am not going to attempt to purchase and return a different bag with the new receipt!! I hope they will let me return it at the parks...I have already sent back one bag and it cost me $ to do so and do not want to do it again..

I'm sorry about your bags. I like #2 best. I see your point on the empty bottom corner but the castle is cool and the back is nice. I carry my Lucy backwards, I also have a tendency to carry all of my bags backwards. sorry again, I wish they sold this style in the parks.

I never got an email but have been stalking the Disney site and tracking the bag. My bag is due to arrive tomorrow, but I never got an email stating that it shipped. Have you tried checking through your order number online? I ordered Friday, by the way.

I am afraid you have the "I've got to have another Disney dooney fever". Don't worry, there is no cure but it is not fatal, and it actually makes life more fun. Also I think there is alot of us who have this fever! Just enjoy!!! Congratulations on winning, it is a great purse.

I need some pity! I still haven't gotten a shipping notice from Disney. I am feeling very singled out When I call Disney , they give me no reason for the delay except they said they recently moved warehouses and stock is in both but they can't tell me if that is why it is not shipped. they also said they say that shipping may take 10-12 days. Don't they understand how badly impatient we are to get our new Dooneys!!!

Well, my so-called "fever" is out of control. I went through my closet this evening and counted my disney dooney bags, most still with their tags and wrappers on, and with this champsac, I'll have 18. That's not counting the gifties either.

DH would have a cow if he knew this. One here and there over the last year it added up, just didn't seem to be this many! I know there's got to be others with even more than me here!

And now disneystore.com has a new warehouse? Hang in there!
You'll get your bags! One time, I didn't even get my notice and the next day I had my box by the front steps!

Reminds of my large sketch tote a little bit, with a empty corner, but the back is perfect. Hence, I carry it backwards like most of my bags.

Yes, unfortunately, I have done that multiple times and have talked with them. I guess i am just going to have to be patient. I am not good with patience, especially when it involves Disney dooneys

On another note, I think the Lucy bag is just PERFECT. It's the perfect size for me, and I think the zipper is ultra cute.




Ofcourse I am boxing up the other 3, only to discover that my package had not had a packing slip!!!!! So, now I don't have a return label, or a "proper" receipt to send back with it. . . . frustrating.

Well, you have me beat on the number of Dooney Disneys, but only by 4. I have become so attached to my Disney Dooneys that I only have one purse now that is not a Disney Dooney. It is a Dooney, however. I sold all my other purses on ebay to finance my addiction

Oh good! I am glad there are now two people that understand what I mean about "empty" space on the bag. If I said anything about something like that to my husband he'd think I was absolutely nuts.

When I asked customer service at disney shopping about returning an item to the parks they said that wasn't an option.

I admit I once did a switch like someone suggested up thread though. Luckily the tag from disney shopping was exactly the same as the one from Disneyland, sku and all, so it wasn't a problem. Of course as Liza pointed out, that may not always be the case.

I didn't see the harm since there was nothing wrong with the bag I returned, I was just exchanging to get a different placement.

I would have chosen #2 as well. I love how the castle is perfectly centered above the D&B tag, and you've got a great Cheshire Cat and Dumbo whether you carry your bag frontwards or backwards.

Maybe you could find a wristlet that has Mickey and a tea cup well positioned? That's probably what I would do.

I hope the missing packing slip is an easy fix. Obviously they have all the info, so it really shouldn't be a problem, but still... yikes!

Today is the day my first dooney is supposed to arrive! EEEEEE! I've never owned a purse that cost more than $20, so it is a big day indeed. I've found three Vera Bradleys at a garage sale once and snatched them up for $7 a piece. That's about as far as my "high end" purse story goes. I thought this would be it, though, so I get the "addiction" part. I already am wanting a smaller cross body type purse for when I don't need to carry the iPad and I want a wristlet. Christmas, hurry and get here!!!
