When I asked customer service at disney shopping about returning an item to the parks they said that wasn't an option.
I admit I once did a switch like someone suggested up thread though. Luckily the tag from disney shopping was exactly the same as the one from Disneyland, sku and all, so it wasn't a problem. Of course as Liza pointed out, that may not always be the case.
I didn't see the harm since there was nothing wrong with the bag I returned, I was just exchanging to get a different placement.
I would have chosen #2 as well. I love how the castle is perfectly centered above the D&B tag, and you've got a great Cheshire Cat and Dumbo whether you carry your bag frontwards or backwards.
Maybe you could find a wristlet that has Mickey and a tea cup well positioned? That's probably what I would do.
I hope the missing packing slip is an easy fix. Obviously they have all the info, so it really shouldn't be a problem, but still... yikes!
My first Dooney arrived today! I ordered a large sketch. I wanted something to fit my ipad, a book, and other random stuff. I feared the medium might be too small. When I got it out of the box, I was very unsure. It is BIG. It looked a bit like a bowling ball bag. But as I got my stuff inside, and started carrying it around, I have grown to really like it. Dh likes it too and rolled his eyes when I told him about my future Dooney "NEEDS!" Here are my pics. I love the placement, though I don't really think you can go wrong on a large. It has to have what you want SOMEWHERE on it, right?

Just got back from the MK and wanted to let everyone know that the 40th bags all seem to be back in stock at Uptown Jewelers. They also had a supercute Minnie Bow bag display!
