Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

I knew I would find a thread about these bags! Wish I had looked for it before we left. I decided I would purchase the sketch tote last week. I was not expecting to see two different versions.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but can anyone explain the pros/cons to the glossy tote? Is it a newer version? Do the matte finish totes get dirty? I looked all week and never found the "perfect" one. Finally, I chose a glossy tote at Mouse Gear, the placement was OK, I would have liked better placement of Tink. Anyway, we headed to the MK that evening, and there was a much better tote but it was not glossy. I ended up returning the one I purchased and decided I would do more research before buying again! Thanks for any help!

I tried the shout wipes on my Mickey Faces large bag and it didn't take the dirt out. I also tried Tide Stain Stick and Shout gel. None of it worked.

Any other ideas. This was a used bag and actually it is not that noticeable. It's on the bottom of the bag so who's going to see it except for me?? I'd still like to try to get it out if anyone has any suggestions.

I emailed D&B on their website. So far no response.

Question - Has anyone every returned items to D&B for replacement or repair?

I bought my messenger bag a week ago and the leather clasp around the cloth strap was coming unsewn. I sent them an email and I got a form letter back telling me to mail to them, then I would get a letter explaining what needed to be done and then they repair or replace depending on my reply.

I mailed them the strap 2 day via USPS and got notification from USPS that the package was delivered, but I have yet to hear anything from D&B....

I was hoping that someone on here had dealt with them before and could shed some light on the experience.

Are there any updates lately on the availability of the Dooneys on the Dream?

I haven't seen many on ebay lately (only 2 listed now) and wonder if they are already sold out onboard.

I have my Dream wristlet that I am debating selling and I don't see any completed on ebay to even get an idea of what those are selling for now. Anyone see any sell lately?

There were still plenty of them on the April 3 and April 7th cruises. The CM working the store was awesome helping me find the perfect placement. I got really close but not quite during the April 3rd cruise. My Mom thought I was crazy looking through all of them for the perfect one, LOL. But the CM...he understood. At the beginning of the April 7th cruise, he was unwrapping more to put out and found the perfect placement for me. He saved the bag to show me and then let me exchange the one I purchased earlier for that one. I have been using it everyday since I got back. I love my Dream Dooney

Hi, This is a side issue of the messenger bag, but I am finding that strap heavy. The metal hooks are heavy so I ordered a leather strap to attach to the bag that is lighter. I found a company that makes leather straps for Doooneys and Coach purses and they match the different colors. I am especially glad I did it now that two of you are having trouble with the stitching. That seems to me a faulty construction. Anyway, food for thought. I don't know if anyone else thought the purse was heavy.

I was comfortable buying my Mini Margot on-line because placement is not such an issue with the Mickey Balloon pattern (IMHO).

I don't have a 40th messenger, so I can't compare the two, but I do love my Mini Margot. It's pretty tiny, but I'm not a big purse girl, so it works for me. I think a few pages back, someone posted a pic with quite a few bags lined up next to each other; it gives a really nice size comparison.

The mini margot is considerably smaller than the 40th messenger. It's an adorable bag, but doesn't hold a whole lot.

So I checked again today and now it says it is out for delivery!

Yea..... can't wait for them to arrive.
